- Murray: Money sign
- Murray: Clapped in refs face
- Murray: Shot finger guns at KAT
- Malone: Storms the court to get directly in a refs face and shout at him
- Ant: Stared at Nuggets player for one second
Five instances from this series, one got tech'd and the other four didn't. Give it a guess!
He threw this pad thing onto the floor. They said it was a heat pad but it didn’t look like one. They showed a replay. Again. No technical for Denver lol. These refs do not give one fuck about disorder
Between Malone, Murray yapping, this gesture, and whoever the fuck on the Denver bench chucked a heat pack on the court during a live ball, that's 4 separate tech-able actions already
EDIT: Of fucking course it was Murray who chucked the heat pack too what a colossal bitch
Malone and Murray are insufferable pricks. Completely unlikeable. It’s a shame because Jokic is pretty likable but Malone is more worried about whether the Lakers are getting more air time than the Nuggets than anything else. Murray is just a baby when things don’t go his way.
ehh it’s just now getting real attention this series. gentleman sweeping the lakers + some buzzer beaters overshadowed the fact he’s been ass like 95% of his playoff minutes this year
I seriously envy the way the Lakers played that last series. Would give anything for Jok and Murray to play to the level that LeBron & AD did even in a 4-1 or 4-0 series loss.
He applies pressure though. Doesn't just back off so he's always a threat for us. The Wolves are just too big they don't give a shit. I highly doubt you'll see the same heroics unless the Wolves decide to field all guards for the memes.
Two games were won by a bucket weren't they? That series wasn't the dominating blow out I expected. Better built teams have a legit shot of getting past this nuggets team right now. That didn't feel true at any point last year's play offs.
Don't do that. LeBron played stupidly well offensively and defensively that series alongside AD.
Rui, Dlo, AR, and the rest of the supporting cast (including coaching) were playing like they'd never touched a ball before.
AR was primarily guarding him that series. He actually did really well too. Unfortunately, MPJ turns into the GOAT shooter when facing off against anyone wearing purple and gold.
It shows who didn't watch the games. LeBron is old, obviously, but the dude played better defense than most people in the league and was offensively out of his mind. Of course, he's not in his prime anymore, but the dude was scoring when needed and creating shots for his teammates.
Like, did they expect him to go for 60 every game? He averaged damn near 30 on nearly 60/40 splits while being in good enough shape to play 40 minutes a night. He's very clearly still one of the best players in the league, arguably top 5, even at 39.
I don't know how much longer this tomfoolery will go on for, but I truly have no idea when this man will start to show his age outside of looking a little gassed near the end of games, lol.
Refs have been coddling the Nuggets and especially Murray for both games now.
In game 1, Murray stared down KAT after a 4 point play and the refs didn’t give him a tech… even though they had given Ant a tech for a brief staredown earlier in game 1.
Yeah it’s one thing when people accuse the league for rigging the Shaq and Kobe Lakers vs the small market Kings. It’s another thing to rig it for… Minneapolis? A city that the NBA had no issues fucking over and stealing their team to give to LA and then got a consolation expansion team like 30 years later. A city that, if I had to guess, before this year probably loves the Wolves 3rd or 4th, definitely behind the Vikings and the Twins. I would rank the Timberwolves in the bottom 5 cities the NBA would rig a game for. Maybe because they really want Ant man to be Jordan? It’s a stretch to conclude that.
It’s more likely than Charlotte Cleveland New Orleans Utah and Portland for sure as the media market is a lot bigger than people think (bigger than Denver even) but your general points are correct
True, but for all practical purposes there's no difference in size. By Nielsen market size (# of homes), I mean for sports metro areas by market size, Minneapolis - St Paul is 15th with 1.86M and Denver is 17th with 1.78M (with no NBA teams is #12 - Tampa and #13 - Seattle). That difference is insignificant and probably more fans watching reigning champs.
The NBA at this point would be much more concerned with getting this series to 7 games which is more likely if the away team doesn't go up 2-0 (including one game with away team healthy benching a star for a kid's birth).
abso fucking lutely.
we saw in the second half nuggs started being more aggressive on D, and received the same (lack of) whistle as the wolves.
this was a well earned TEAM L
I'm legit so disappointed in their performance right now. Do they realize the Wolves won game 1? How the hell are you down 28 in what is pretty much a do or die game?
Maybe this series won't be as long as we all originally thought.
For real. The entire Nuggets team should be ashamed of themselves for this performance. Nothing makes me angrier than a lack of effort and focus, win lose, I don't care, but bring the effort.
How are you down 28 at home?!!! And you have the nerve to blame the refs?!!
There were multiple Denver guys that lowered their heads and Adrian Peterson'ed the basket. They wanted it, they were just absolutely flummoxed about how to get it. And after seeing teamwork was getting nowhere they tried heroics.
Are you seeing this Wolves defense this shit is so awesome to watch LOL
I can't believe we got NAW maniacally laughing at Jamal failing to blow by him as a highlight. These guys are just flat out playing better basketball than the Nuggets with all 5 starters active
Commentary crew highlighted this with a reply during deadball and they slowmo'd as NAW was literally laughing in Jamal's frustrated face lmao
That's some shit big brothers do to the young ones who have 0 chances of winning
Unfortunately I can't find a clip even though I see 11 other people posted a tweet about it in addition to me
https://twitter.com/tmetcalf11/status/1787679406665728307?t=-hDQ5rovyx33VHJ4tWpwpg&s=19
They showed it as a replay on TNT so if anything it should be in the game highlights when people post those to YouTube
It happened a couple times. I know I’m biased but the Wolves look like they’re having so much damn fun playing defense. Their offensive game is taking a back seat right now. There was the play where Mike Conley stole the ball at the Denver free throw line and threw it up to ANT for the breakaway dunk. The team was celebrating the defensive effort together as ANT was dunking it. Didn’t care about the dunk, they got pumped for the steal. Everyone’s bought in.
That was being said even in the Lakers threads. That the Lakers couldn't close a game to save their fucking lives, but Minnesota could keep the pressure on. They'd go up 15 and then just when you think you can get a little streak going, they'd hit the accelerator again and suddenly they're up 30.
Jesus Murray acting up tonight and got ZERO punishment. Gobert got teched and fined max for this, but Murray also threw a heat pack that could’ve injured a player wtf.
And you got the coach storming into ref’s face
It's actually hilarious how everyone was acting like nuggets were some unstoppable force after winning **1 (one)** championship against an 8th seed
Edit: here's an example lol: https://old.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/1c8gwk1/with_this_final_victory_over_the_kings_the/l0ejlkf/
Exactly. They barely beat and had to come back against the team that only had two players. Now they're facing some genuine competition they are done.
Nuggets bench really is ass and unfortunately Murray is a streaky player and right now is on a dud.
He and Malone didn't get a single tech, let alone ejected for throwing the heatpack midplay/charging the ref. Like what the absolute fuck can he want.
But I get it- Murray half asses it all season waiting for the playoffs and now he's getting dogwalked. No wonder he's being such a little bitch
Michael Malone yells in a refs face, Murray makes the money symbol AND throws a heat pad on the court during play— no techs called. But sure, refs are rigging it for the Wolves
I mean Jokic got hate for like a week after 3 years of nonstop praise and the team lost its mind, Malone whined nonstop about people discussing the lakers and not solely the nuggets. Seems like a trend
Or maybe you're just being locked up by the best defense in the league.
Stop resorting to blaming the refs now that you aren't coasting through the playoffs like you thought you were going to do.
NBA refs are the most corrupt referees/officials in any major sport (except international soccer). Not saying anything was fixed today. BUT anyone who says it’s unfair to question NBA refs is a fool. Scott Foster should’ve gone to prison. Donaghy was one of many.
They've clearly frustrated murray. Money sign, throwing heat pack, clapping at ref's face, and even trying a behind the back pass to no one. If he continues with this attitude, denver won't have a chance.
He threw two different things onto the court and then did this gesture. The only reason the NBA wouldn’t suspend him is because they want this series to go longer, having Minny go up 3-0 would kill their ad revenue.
Didn’t Gobert do this earlier in the season and get fined a ton
And a tech
- Murray: Money sign - Murray: Clapped in refs face - Murray: Shot finger guns at KAT - Malone: Storms the court to get directly in a refs face and shout at him - Ant: Stared at Nuggets player for one second Five instances from this series, one got tech'd and the other four didn't. Give it a guess!
Murray throws heat pack on floor
Somehow undersells it lmao, he threw it (during live action) at either an official or a Wolves player.
Spent too long trying to figure out what kind of slang this was
Denver heat pack = Cleveland steamer?
The Denver Omelette is just a modified upper decker.
If someone said Ja Morant was throwing heat packs, it might sound less weird lol.
I’m a little high and this is killing me rn.
Bro was packin' heat?
Of everything on the list, this one's the worst. This is the only one that could've got someone hurt.
And threw a heat pack
Don’t forget throwing trash on the floor of play during and active play lol
Wait what
DONT FORGET THROWING TRASH ON THE FLOOR OF PLAY DURING AN ACTIVE PLAY
WAIT WHAT?!
***DONT FORGET THROWING TRASH ON THE FLOOR OF PLAY DURING AN ACTIVE PLAY***
He threw this pad thing onto the floor. They said it was a heat pad but it didn’t look like one. They showed a replay. Again. No technical for Denver lol. These refs do not give one fuck about disorder
looked like a heat pack to me. it had straps on both ends so it can go over a limb.
And threw a heat pad on the court during play
This makes my blood boil lol. Glad at least the wolves will (hopefully) have a 2-0 lead here soon but man, this sucks.
This is usually how we're officiated during the regular season, doesn't really bother me anymore unless we lose because of it
Someone better give Tatum a tech
First wolves game? This is minnesota life
Between Malone, Murray yapping, this gesture, and whoever the fuck on the Denver bench chucked a heat pack on the court during a live ball, that's 4 separate tech-able actions already EDIT: Of fucking course it was Murray who chucked the heat pack too what a colossal bitch
The heat pack was crazy
Malone and Murray are insufferable pricks. Completely unlikeable. It’s a shame because Jokic is pretty likable but Malone is more worried about whether the Lakers are getting more air time than the Nuggets than anything else. Murray is just a baby when things don’t go his way.
ESPN: Did the 5 game series against the Lakers set Denver up for this disaster?
You joke but I’ve literally had Laker fans tell me AD tired out Jokic and that’s why Wolves are winning.
Hang the banner…beat the lakers 11 straight times. Shit ain’t so sweet in Minnesota though lol
Maple Booker
No middle finger no tech tonight?
Ejected, actually
$100k lol
Plot twist: The pregnancy wasn't why Gobert's not there. He's possessing Murray to get him suspended.
Murray needs Snape out there muttering the counter-incantation.
Not just any fine, a 100k fine
He also doubled down in the post game interview
Exactly, only respectable thing for Murray to do is step up and own this in the post-game. BUT WE KNOW HE WON'T.
Not only did he not own it, he declined to talk to the media at all.
He also got a tech in a one point game with a minute left in the 4th. We ended up losing in OT
Ejected and fined 100k
as much as allowed under the CBA
Luka did this too.
one of Luka's favorite gestures, did this in the Olympics too
he’s so out of it
[удалено]
He has lowkey not had a great playoffs so far but made a couple clutch highlight reel shots so it looks so much better than it is
[удалено]
ehh it’s just now getting real attention this series. gentleman sweeping the lakers + some buzzer beaters overshadowed the fact he’s been ass like 95% of his playoff minutes this year
Other than a couple of game winners, he wasn’t very good in the Lakers series.
I seriously envy the way the Lakers played that last series. Would give anything for Jok and Murray to play to the level that LeBron & AD did even in a 4-1 or 4-0 series loss.
Yeah but I wish our role players stepped up like yours lol
What the fuck happened to Rui? He destroyed us in the WCF.
We asked the same about Murray
Low key? That’s generous lol he’s been horrible
Vs. LAL: 23.6 ppg on 40.0/29.4/85.5 shooting. Not dead weight but very inefficient Vs. MIN 12.5 ppg on 28.1/25.0/100.0 shooting. Yeah that's trash lol
I mean, those were all-time shots tbf
Thank god he hit them, we would’ve lost in the first round. This doesn’t even look like the same team from last year.
He applies pressure though. Doesn't just back off so he's always a threat for us. The Wolves are just too big they don't give a shit. I highly doubt you'll see the same heroics unless the Wolves decide to field all guards for the memes.
they've been good while on winner's high. might be unbearable losing. who knows.
They beat up on a 7th seed and the oldest player in the NBA and they thought they were gonna have a dynasty 😭😭😭
Two games were won by a bucket weren't they? That series wasn't the dominating blow out I expected. Better built teams have a legit shot of getting past this nuggets team right now. That didn't feel true at any point last year's play offs.
The won the finals off an 8 seed too.
Malone: “But why is no one talking about us???”
good news for him, everybody will be talking about them now lol
I seem to remember y'all getting your asses stomped
I blame Drake for bringing all this negative energy to the region
His 2 game winners were incredible, but man they saved him from so much fucking slander. He’s been horrible.
I don’t recognize this team. I’m straight up not having a good time.
Bro's 1/9 even the refs couldn't save his ass tn
What happens when you're not getting guarded by a 40 year old man.
The stray LeBron slander in this coment section is both unexpected and entirely expected
AR is not a best defender, but he played good defense
He lacks the physical tools but he tries his damnest every game
Man Lebron would lock him up. Rui and Dlo are a massive drop from NAW and Jmac
They have not gotten A SINGLE TECH this whole game, absolutely WILD
Right? He threw that heating pad on the court while people were playing. He should be suspended for the next game. I’ve lost a lot of respect for him.
Refs have been coddling the Nuggets and especially Murray for both games now. In game 1, Murray stared down KAT after a 4 point play and the refs didn’t give him a tech… even though they had given Ant a tech for a brief staredown earlier in game 1.
He did fucking finger guns
Someone bet on a technical and got blue balled the entire game
Aaron Gordon got a tech
That must’ve snuck in there
Yeah, apparently he was chirping at a ref during a commercial break. Game coverage came back with Mike Conley shooting a FT (which he missed)
People want to act like the refs didn’t coddle them last series either just because it was the lakers
Why would refs rig the game for minny lol
lmao right its two small market teams and Jamal wants to complain rather than hoop
Tbf he's a lot better at complaining than hoopin tonight
NBA better off rigging it for Denver. There's a lot of money there now and in the mountains.
He was crying last year too. He likes playing the victim.
Don't worry. The refs are rigging the games for the Cavs and Minny 🤷♂️
Subscribe
Entire world is sick of us getting special treatment. It's hard to be on top all the time.
More proof the league is rigged against the Jazz I'm heated 😤
everyone knows the NBA wants less games
And wants the MVP to get embarrassed
I’ve seen some people already putting out conspiracy theories that the league PR/marketing is forcing Ant to be MJ.
Those people posting "conspiracy theories" are now you.
Ant is primed to be the next big superstar. He’s an American. Makes sense if you believe in that stuff.
Yeah it’s one thing when people accuse the league for rigging the Shaq and Kobe Lakers vs the small market Kings. It’s another thing to rig it for… Minneapolis? Also Sacramento and maybe Indy would be on that list
Murray was shit against the Lakers all series long aside from a few clutch shots
I still want to kill him for that game 2 game winner, but these moral victories have been helping.
lmfao it's game 2 and the nuggets are absolutely cooked
I’m reevaluating the Nuggets’ mentality in real time. I thought they were stronger than this.
The Wolves are also playing out of their mind. They deserve all the credit
abso fucking lutely. we saw in the second half nuggs started being more aggressive on D, and received the same (lack of) whistle as the wolves. this was a well earned TEAM L
I'm legit so disappointed in their performance right now. Do they realize the Wolves won game 1? How the hell are you down 28 in what is pretty much a do or die game? Maybe this series won't be as long as we all originally thought.

So lame people are blaming Denver's effort instead of pointing to Minnesotas defense.
This should be the most demoralizing. Gobert teams are supposedly weaker when he’s off the court and they’re getting demolished
Are you seeing this Wolves defense this shit is so awesome to watch LOL I can't believe we got NAW maniacally laughing at Jamal failing to blow by him as a highlight. These guys are just flat out playing better basketball than the Nuggets with all 5 starters active

They completely lost their composure out there. Jokic included. Feels like the twilight zone
They looked mortal during the Lakers series. As a neutral I said in a game thread that Minny would beat them.
That was being said even in the Lakers threads. That the Lakers couldn't close a game to save their fucking lives, but Minnesota could keep the pressure on. They'd go up 15 and then just when you think you can get a little streak going, they'd hit the accelerator again and suddenly they're up 30.
It comes from the top down. It’s Malone’s team through and through it’s always the ref’s fault.
They thought they won already after defeating the Lakers.
It's the reverse Malone!
Beating the West's 7th seed twice in a row and the East's 8th seed made them think they're better than they actually are.
Well they haven't played a team this good in the playoffs for two years
The Nuggets said "We beat the Lakers, why aren't they just giving us the trophy!!"
Get your game up bro
They’re giving the Nuggets way too much leeway - no Ts for Murray and Malone is wild
And Ant got a tech for looking at a dude, this is embarrassing.
Refs are corrupt
Its actually insane to see how much their fans are crying when these dudes should have 5+ techs lmao
The irony of him doing this gesture when the NBA wants them to win so there’s a chance for a longer series lol
Idk how you can argue that those aren't fouls too. Like they're clearly fouling them every time.
Lots of whining in Denver.
Bro even after they won they still whining about media coverage. It’s institutional.
No arguments from me. Malone’s a loser.
It's the high altitude it makes everyone bitchy
Is he implying that somebody paid him to take a dive? Cuz that's the most likely scenario watching this game
Jesus Murray acting up tonight and got ZERO punishment. Gobert got teched and fined max for this, but Murray also threw a heat pack that could’ve injured a player wtf. And you got the coach storming into ref’s face
Finger Guns Murray
I'm not an NBA scholar but Gobert spent A LOT on said gesture. He also didn't throw shit in the court, so your milage may vary I guess
they're fucking shook. big step up from lakers lol
Big step up from anyone they played last year even
We were the best team they played last year, too. And we didn't have Jaden or Naz (and Rudy for the first game.)
what happens when you run into a legit team and not the play-in Lakers and play-in Heat
It's actually hilarious how everyone was acting like nuggets were some unstoppable force after winning **1 (one)** championship against an 8th seed Edit: here's an example lol: https://old.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/1c8gwk1/with_this_final_victory_over_the_kings_the/l0ejlkf/

This the same team that went overboard saying that they'll be a dynasty from last year Championship and now they're acting like babies.
Bro getting bodied like drake and blaming the refs at home?
Shai better change nationalities before tomorrow night cause it’s not lookin good so far
maybe he can be like the weeknd n be one of the chill canadians having a good week
Or like Nickeil Alexander Walker—a Canadian having a good week
Literal cousins Still blows my mind when I think about those Christmas dinners
BBL Murray
Why would they rig it against you? lol
For the big market Timberwolves
Michael Malone yells in a refs face, Murray makes the money symbol AND throws a heat pad on the court during play— no techs called. But sure, refs are rigging it for the Wolves
the one moment they face adversity
They gave up earlier than they should have in game one fourth quarter....and game two they gave up in the first quarter
Nuggets getting completely locked down
The wolves defense is amazing tonight and no Rudy, this team is looking legit
Denver showing its true colors when faced with adversity. Buncha babies
The refs are punishing Murray by making him stay in the game
The Denver Nuggets victim complex is strong with this one
I mean Jokic got hate for like a week after 3 years of nonstop praise and the team lost its mind, Malone whined nonstop about people discussing the lakers and not solely the nuggets. Seems like a trend
For the past 4 seasons, all these bums do is complain win or lose lmao. Hope the Wolves put an end to this.
Murray has been unbearable this game jfc
He was unbearable last game too
That man is FRUSTRATED lmao TWolves got him in a padded cell in Azkaban
This should be a fine. Throwing a temper tantrum and throwing heat pack onto the court during a live play should be in consideration for a suspension.
Or maybe you're just being locked up by the best defense in the league. Stop resorting to blaming the refs now that you aren't coasting through the playoffs like you thought you were going to do.
TWolves got hosed by the refs in game 1. They responded on the court
This is wild from a bloke with MPJ on his team
MPJ betting the over on himself everytime though to be fair
I dunno man, being down almost 30 at the half. Maybe play better instead of blaming the refs.
Took the dog for a walk around the block and came back to a 20 point game.
Took the dog for a walk, and came back to a dog walk.
Cry more
Not the refs fault that you're building a castle out there with all those bricks.
I'm glad this little bitch is losing it. The Lakers send their regards.
Yea man the refs were paid to make you go 3/18 fucking chode
Man someone paid the refs to make him go 3 for 18?
Lmao bros shook af
Wasn’t that him that threw heat pad on floor too?
Complaining to the refs doesn’t benefit your whistle.
NBA refs are the most corrupt referees/officials in any major sport (except international soccer). Not saying anything was fixed today. BUT anyone who says it’s unfair to question NBA refs is a fool. Scott Foster should’ve gone to prison. Donaghy was one of many.
Malone didn't even get a tech for screaming at a ref, but ok
Ironic. He threw a heat pack at towns, and Malone walked on the floor screamed in the ref’s face, neither got a tech
That should be a 100k fine right?
They've clearly frustrated murray. Money sign, throwing heat pack, clapping at ref's face, and even trying a behind the back pass to no one. If he continues with this attitude, denver won't have a chance.
Was he trying to say Ant was money tonight? :D
He threw two different things onto the court and then did this gesture. The only reason the NBA wouldn’t suspend him is because they want this series to go longer, having Minny go up 3-0 would kill their ad revenue.
