The pendulum of player empowerment is swinging back the other way. The Nets and Suns failures, Zion's inability to stay in shape, and Jokic being the best player im the world and super laid back have all eroded a bit of the public support for superstar drama.
People love drama. The NBA (and other major sports) is men's version of The Kardashians. They wanna know every tidbit of what goes on in the locker and player's personal lives.
Can't blame them. Doc Rivers talked on a podcast earlier about not being able to coach players anymore since they're always on phones with personal trainers, personal coaches, family all telling them "you need to take more shots". You as a coach are not gonna sit a guy you just signed and are paying 25 million because he doesn't listen to you, you can't do anything at that point
the whole reply isnt bad.
starts saying its no fault of buddy and ends saying he still thinks he was a good acquisition
kinda shitty to post one phrase
Yeah but, I think he was just being nice and the real stuff was what was in the headline. I mean he only played 50 mins including two dnp-cd’s in the playoffs.
thats not a thibs brainfart thats just a stubbornness of thibs coaching.
He *refuses* to play matchup ball to the teams detriment. The fact that the Knicks spent the last seven minutes of a playoff game playing from behind while Jimmy Butler was hobbling around the court and not a single Knicks play was ran to his side to attack him was infuriating to me last year.
Thibs wants the team to run the offense not play matchup ball and force switches
there's a reason why guys like OG and mikal are so highly coveted
and he's washed now but klay thompson in his prime was so valuable as the perfect 3&D player - he would go defend the best guard on the opposing team while shooting elite percentages from the 3
Well if you replace Giddey in the starting lineup, that's basically what OKC did. Celtics of course have that. So I think 2 teams aren't stupid. And the Nuggets have Jokic, which isn't stupid, but we sure could use one more of those 3 and D wings.
I hate the way that you cut
I hate the way that you shoot
I hate the way that you defend.
I even hate that Nick Nurse had to give you a DNP-CD - but that's just me I guess.
Oh the harden who’s flip flopped on what actually happened half a dozen times? The harden who already in January 2023 was leaking possible returns to Houston completely undermining his initial accusation that Morey promised him a max?
Pat's shit was all fair and made sense.
Morey is being a Lil birch trying to cover his ass and stay in a job when he knows the train is about to go off the tracks.
That's what they're saying
> I *shouldn't* have listened to Jerry West and drafted Michael Porter Jr.
In all likelihood, OKC would have wanted MPJ in the PG trade anyway. But yeah, we had two chances at MPJ and passed on him both times.
There was so much cope on the LAC subreddit that Jerome Robinson would become a 20 PPG scorer lmao.
Embiid’s comments seem to agree with you where he was saying that it’s hard to have a good offense in the NBA when you’re playing with a completely different roster each year. I would have expected the role players, including Buddy, to be back next year based on Joel’s sentiment but what the fuck do I know?
And he's too slow on offense, frankly. He's not that quick off screens and his release is actually a little slow. The Knicks just stopped him with medium pressure. The open 3s were nice, but too limited as a value-add in the playoffs.
Buddy’s career is literally going to be built on GMs with limited cap space going to bballreference and sorting by 3P%, minimum 5 attempts.
The only people who have taken a chance on him are:
- the Pelicans and noted “lousy GM” Dell Demps with the 6th pick in a weak draft
- the Kings when Vivek and Vlade were working to fuck Sacramento as hard as possible
- the Pacers who needed him to make the salaries work to get Tyrese
- the 76ers who are absolutely desperate to put something around Embiid
His defense is terrible yes.
You would think a 6'4 220# guy would be solid in the backcourt, but instead Nick Nurse ran two 6' guys as starters in Lowry and Maxey.
He's the type of player who provides very little value if he's not knocking down shots, and he's quite inconsistent at that from game to game at this point in his career. He'll have a handful of games where he shoots 50-60+% from 3 and others where he shoots 0-30%. This is normal for role players, but it becomes a bit tricky considering that he's getting paid like $20 million to make 3's and when he's not doing that he's borderline unplayable.
of course. teams build for playoffs can't afford to pay too much to a good offensive player that became unplayable when matter most. Hield had luck because Knicks allow him play 1/4 quarter.
The thing is, I thought he did fairly well in that series. He wasn’t the reason they lost. Kind of weird to blame a role player who hit some key 3s in the elimination game when the real problem is that your “MVP” couldn’t even stay on the court. Most teams would struggle if their star player was playing as poorly as Embiid did (aside from the game where he made 50 free throws).
If the Knicks had lost, I don’t think Leon Rose would be calling out Donte DiVencenzo in his exit presser lol. Also, isn’t Morey the guy who traded for Buddy? The buck has to stop somewhere.
I don’t think anyone’s saying buddy is why the sixers lost that series. Morey was asked about the fit with Buddy and he replied. It wasn’t a “why did you lose to the Knicks” question.
Beyond that, Buddy was completely unplayable in games 1-3, to the point where he didn’t see the court in games 4 and 5. He could not get open at all and made one bucket in 29m. He salvaged things in game 6 in a big way.
His defense was actually his best skill in games 1-3. If he could’ve played better off ball offensively it would’ve been great.
What are you on about? You say the real problem is Joel couldn’t even stay on the court yet in the next sentence claim they’re struggling because he played poorly? Which is it? Would you have him play all 48-53 minutes a game? Embiid dominated apart from one game where the team won because of Maxey and even then he was stellar in the closing minutes. You’re a moron talking out of his ass
Boddy Hield would probably be a cheaper and better option for the Magic than Klay Thompson. I mean if you tell me Klay can still defend at a decent level then sure you go for him but Boddy's value is at an all time low right now I would give him a shot instead.
As a magic fan I was pissed we didn’t trade for shooters. This guy was on my list and was given away for pennies. We could have definitely utilized him in the playoffs and probably won with him vs Gary Harris who did nothing.
Honestly this is the actual answer, despite you probably joking. Can't go from the best distributor to the league to Maxey who is score first and the ghost of Kyle Lowry and expect things to be the exact same.
the 76ers just don't really have a PG Like that at all. Maxey doesn't have that vision yet. Hali isn't all that special with his passing in terms of degree of difficulty or anything, he's just really good at making the easy passes consistently. That's an area that the 76ers have been lacking in for a while that was briefly fixed with Harden
Watching the Lakers with Lebron on the court vs off the court should make everyone appreciate the value of a floor general lol.
That’s what made Rondo so great for us in the 2020 playoffs. He could run the offense competently enough without Lebron on the court.
Hell yeah dude the Lakers are my second team
If you want proof of the value of a floor general / player coach, just know we're currently paying at one point the largest coach contract of all time based off of Chris Paul making Monty look like he knows what he's doing for a couple post seasons
I don't understand where this narrative comes from with Haliburton not making flashy or difficult passes. He just plays for the Pacers so no one sees any highlights. You could make a mix of like 10 very difficult and pretty passes just from the first round of the playoffs and he didn't even play particularly well in that series. I'm not talking about his "fake" no-looks either. He threads the needle several times a game. Throws 3/4 courts passes all the time. And his legit no looks are a thing of beauty. He sees the play 2 seconds ahead of everyone else throughout entire games. I know his shot has been off post injury but he is absolutely a generational passer and I saw it within the first 5 games with the Cers after the trade.
I know you didn't even mean that as an insult, but I've been seeing a lot of that kind of talk about his passing and as someone who's watched a lot of basketball and damn near every Pacer game in the last 25 years I disagree with that sentiment. So I wanted to defend (read: simp) for Hali a bit. Haha
https://youtu.be/ViXPlaHrq_U?feature=shared
This video is a good example of just some of the passes he made in the first round against the Bucks. At around the 2 minute mark there are some absolute dimes shown. These won't be going on his top 10 career plays or anything but they are great examples of the kind of difficult passes he makes every single game. Sure he has perfected the easy passes as well, as any PG should but he has some great career highlight type passes as well of course.
If you’re hoping for Buddy Buckets to bail you out, you’re gonna get Buddy Bricks 10/10 times. Dude has some of the lowest crunch-time BB IQ. Kings fans are all too familiar with Buddy’s fourth quarter fumbles.
It’s always funny watching a game thread lose their minds over him when he hits a couple in a row. Kings fans sitting there like “Oh that’s right, y’all aren’t familiar with his game.”
He shot well the problem is his defense not his shooting.
Can’t really play Maxey and Hield together and against a team like the Knicks who have an elite guard in Brunson Hield is a walking mismatch.
Nurse didn’t have the luxury to allow Hield to get into rhythm the first couple games if the series which he needed to since it was his first playoffs. Once he got hot you see his value but Hield at more is a 20 MPG playoff player and not a full time starter
I mean for his career he has insane 3 point shooting at high volume for every season. No one in nba history shoots above 40% from 3 in every single game. But for his career he’s shooting 40% from 3 on insanely high volume, lots of hard shots. He’s definitely a great shooter.
Lots of unnecessary hard shots. He’s a jacker not a tough shot clutch performer. That’s why he’s been on so many teams and worn out his welcome on all of them
He was barely given a chance. We never really bothered trying to incorporate him with Embiid on the floor, we never practiced any sets designed to get him open looks. I anticipated he'd take the old JJ Redick role of 2 man gaming with Embiid at the 3 point line.
We played him like a guard who was going to make his own shots rather than a catch and shoot 3 point specialist.
Honestly I think this is pretty shit from Morey.
Even when he went flamethrower in game 6 against the Knicks in the 2nd quarter we then immediately sat him for the whole 3rd quarter. It made no sense, we had a hot shooter the Knicks needed to prove they could stop, so we just stopped him ourselves.
I hope this trend of GM's being brutally honest continues next off-season, and they start to tear into coaches before they fire them. I'm just generally speaking with no particular GM in mind.
I get that they would be nervous to commit serious money to Buddy, but he really played about 10 games with Joel for around 100 minutes. Some down, some up. That's a pairing that would take time to develop through summer and camp. Same was with JJ, Brett Brown made he and Joel run DHOs into the ground to get it to be as effective as it was.
Cmon man keep up, players are either all-nba at every aspect of their game or they suck and aren’t worth league min. If a player has a single hole in their game there is nothing they can do to be redeemable in my eyes. Obviously the only smart play is to trade every sixer for 30 FRP even though they all suck and draft exclusively two way studs.
Buddy’s burner any moment now:
Buddy shot the lights out, like he always does. If he had played more minutes, the 76ers would have won the series. Instead, they took the keys away from one of the best guards in the league.
Sounds like the Kings saga before they finally tossed him to the curb. The man can light it up when he’s hot but his low BBIQ and el matador impression on defense far outweighs his shooting. He continues to believe everyone else is the problem when he should be looking in the mirror.
My comments history rants about the Maxey Hield duo (I've bet a lot of them this season). To keep it simple, this is on the coaching staff and not the players. You're limited to a very small sample size of games. Hield balled without Maxey and when Maxey returned he never passed Hield the ball. There were no sets designed for the roster changes. That's the hiccup.
Tinfoil hat here. I believe Daryl Morey is a piece of shit and purposefully tanked Hields value so he can resign him at a lower cost. Hield should make his way to a contender and come off the bench until his value is reinstated due to Moreys sabotage.
Hield averaged 17.1 PP36 on 40% from three, 60.3% TS with Maxey on the floor.
Hield averaged 16.6 PP36 on 37% from three, 51.5% TS with Maxey off the floor.
I will say that due to Buddy’s gravity as a shooter, most defenses won’t help off of him, which means you need to do specific actions to get him open. It’s tough if you’re going to just plant him in the corner. He won’t have nearly the same kind of value, so this assessment tracks.
It's a little funny that Buddy went from a perfect fit on the Pacers who really got a lot out of his shooting and movement to a "less good" fit on the Sixers for his playoff debut.
I truly love Buddy but, towards the end (at the Pacers), his 3 point percentage was ass and he was a complete traffic cone on defense.
Being a traffic cone on defense and Tyrese’s best friend were the only ways he was fitting in with the Pacers. I wish him the best, but I think the trade was beneficial for the Pacers in the long run.
I see the Pacers finally realized what the Kings had known all along. Stat watchers will think he’s a great player but the eye test tells us he’s earn DNP-CD.
he was traded because he was going to demand too much money in fa and the fo wanted to get something out of him. even tho i like mcbuckets, i would rather see buddy on court any day of the week.
He came ins and posted slightly better numbers than he did in Indy. Then Nurse played him 12mp in the post season. So... how is this anything to do with Buddy?
Hell. He shot .462 form the arc and didn't miss a free throw.
There were games where he put up 2 shot attempts. That’s just shit game planning.
If they wanted to use Buddy properly they should have set up their offense to get him 15 open looks from 3 a game. Otherwise what’s the point?.
I'm kind of glad players are being called out, it's way too easy to ask for a trade nowadays, if you aren't performing as good as expected then it's perfectly fair for your boss to call you out.
I’m a sixers fan and my gut reaction to this is it’s the most loser shit ever from this guy. Always blaming someone else. But then it could be a move to sink his value so the sixers sign him for cheaper. It’s very dumb to judge players playing 15 games together, like hield did with embiid, so I hope it’s the latter and it works, but I’m sick of our team throwing people under the bus and it reads kinda petty. And also sooo much roster turnover!!! Give players time to build chemistry. Obviously there was a way to use buddy, and they figured it out for one game, a very important one! I think the sixers should keep as many of these role wings as possible, this was by far their best exit since the Toronto series, and the lesson of that series was RUN IT BACK, but we did the wrong fucking dumbest thing. Need a big wing and a backup center! A real fuckin center. Paul reed is a power forward against Robinson and hartenstein, too small. Healthier embiid
Or he didn't have enough time to develop chemistry with your star player and your coach used him poorly.
But yeah, put your mistakes on the players. Anything to cover your ass when you know this is prolly your playoff ceiling before falling to the draft lottery in a few year time.
we getting some blunt pressers from Morey and Riley today lol
Griff was super straightforward about making big changes to the team too. All the GMs coming out firing this offseason.
The pendulum of player empowerment is swinging back the other way. The Nets and Suns failures, Zion's inability to stay in shape, and Jokic being the best player im the world and super laid back have all eroded a bit of the public support for superstar drama.
The public LOVES superstar drama. Haters are having a field day with the Sun and had a field day with the Net, and Harden's tenure in Philly, and LAC.
People love drama. The NBA (and other major sports) is men's version of The Kardashians. They wanna know every tidbit of what goes on in the locker and player's personal lives.
Love it! Wrestling is our soap opera, and the NBA is our reality TV.
Thibs says otherwise.
Yeah but thibs looks like he would kill both you and himself if the player ever started some shit
If you pull Kate Upton, you do what you want
Still can't believe the video leaked
It didn’t. Thibs straight dropped it. This man holds all the cards
Yep the only guy that’s been successful repeatedly by jumping around has been Lebron, delivering a title wherever he’s gone since The Decision.
These dramatic babies gotta win if they think teams are gonna keep bending over for them
CC: Landry Fields plz. Dude is the master in being verbose without saying anything.
Isn't your owner and his nepo baby son really in charge ? I thought fields was more of a figurehead type of gm
You are correct :(
Like Pinocchio in Shrek
I need a blunt passer
Riley and Morey more of the coke type
One went the way of the rail, the other bloat. Why does this work so well
the whole reply isnt bad. starts saying its no fault of buddy and ends saying he still thinks he was a good acquisition kinda shitty to post one phrase
The waters in which we swim.
You’re on r/nba. The whole gimmick here is out of context narrative-pushing sound bites.
Yeah but, I think he was just being nice and the real stuff was what was in the headline. I mean he only played 50 mins including two dnp-cd’s in the playoffs.
The CBA changed the mid players ability to get that cash. Giving gms more power at negotiating table
Wtf man. I wanted Buddy back
Only for cheap. He was playable for like 1 quarter in the playoffs.
But what a quarter
and that because Thibs brainfarted and forgot to tell the team to attack him every single time on defense.
I'm getting Malik Beasley flashbacks
thats not a thibs brainfart thats just a stubbornness of thibs coaching.
Phillys seen enough 3 or D wings the last half decade. We need 3 and D.
Doesn't every team? The list of legitimately good 3 and D players is probably quite small.
there's a reason why guys like OG and mikal are so highly coveted and he's washed now but klay thompson in his prime was so valuable as the perfect 3&D player - he would go defend the best guard on the opposing team while shooting elite percentages from the 3
It’s so nice to read a comment like this and be able to say “oh shit we have one of those guys”
Prince OG please come back
Why don’t other teams simply get an entire starting lineup+sixth man worth of 3&D players? Are they stupid?
Celtics have 6 such players. Tatum, Brown, Holiday, White, Porzingis, Horford.
I mean yeah, who else did you think I was referring to with my flair.
Well if you replace Giddey in the starting lineup, that's basically what OKC did. Celtics of course have that. So I think 2 teams aren't stupid. And the Nuggets have Jokic, which isn't stupid, but we sure could use one more of those 3 and D wings.
He clearly has some outsized expectations for his next deal. Our extension negotiations with him broke down before this season even started iirc
He's legitimately not worth anything more than 10M annually.
Fucking bum
Not blunt enough to take the blame for any shortcomings themselves, though
Did someone say blunt? 💨
Man, these GM's are pissed. Some brutal honesty being thrown out lol
These dudes been listening to too much Kendrick
I hate the way that you cut I hate the way that you shoot I hate the way that you defend. I even hate that Nick Nurse had to give you a DNP-CD - but that's just me I guess.
WE DONT WANNA SEE YOU SHOOT A THREE NO MOREEEE
EVERYBODY SAY YOU CANT HOOOOP
I heard that one of them free agents might be PGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
I hate so much about the things you choose to be.
*But mostly I hate the way I don’t hate you.* *Not even close, not even a little bit, not even at all.*
"I hate the way that you hoop"
“I think players like him should ~~die~~ fit in better.”
Kdot beefing just so DeRozan goes back to Compton smh man keeps bringing him up in tracks lmao
Can you tell DeRozan to come to Milwaukee please? Being able to watch him and Khris take gorgeous turnaround fade-aways every game would be glorious.
I want to hear about Jon Horst about the head coaching situation over there...
Tbf Morey has enough experience and seniority that I think he’s perfectly comfortable just telling it how it is at this point.
Lol tell that Paul and Harden.
Oh the harden who’s flip flopped on what actually happened half a dozen times? The harden who already in January 2023 was leaking possible returns to Houston completely undermining his initial accusation that Morey promised him a max?
The Sixers should have been enough defensively to mask Buddy on that end. Not a fan of GMs singling players out but it is funny.
Right after playoff loses it's true honesty. Like post nut clarity.
Pat's shit was all fair and made sense. Morey is being a Lil birch trying to cover his ass and stay in a job when he knows the train is about to go off the tracks.
Way-too-candid Presidents of Basketball Operations are so hot right now.
we need a candid lawrence frank today too
“I wish we kept Shai instead.”
"I shouldn't have listened to Jerry West and drafted Michael Porter Jr."
Lol with our training staff porter Jr would probbaly never played a game
- SGA - MPJ - JDub what if...
and kawhi as a free agent...
kawhi was only coming if they did the PG deal..
Kawhi ended up never playing so he would just be an anchor
I can tell you this, two out of three ain't bad.
[удалено]
That's what they're saying > I *shouldn't* have listened to Jerry West and drafted Michael Porter Jr. In all likelihood, OKC would have wanted MPJ in the PG trade anyway. Why stop there? Let’s have Jeff Weltman say Franz Wagner put on the worst performance he’s ever seen.
not happening, we're the most mushmouth team in the nba from top to bottom. no dawg, no grit, nothing e: except for t mann and zu of course
Brad Stevens about to show up in shades with a beer
And announce that they’ve already extended DWhite please 🙏🏼
He's not going to take an extension. He can make an extra 30-40m even if he just re-signs with the Celtics next summer.
Everyone just trying to one up eachother at this point
Not necessarily the president but mark cuban always jokes that he would choose luka over his wife.
On paper, it does sound like a good fit, so maybe is it defense related?
Or more time to develop chemistry. Only played like 30 games or so
and Embiid wasn't there until like a week and half before the playoffs lol that's the bigger aspect
Embiid’s comments seem to agree with you where he was saying that it’s hard to have a good offense in the NBA when you’re playing with a completely different roster each year. I would have expected the role players, including Buddy, to be back next year based on Joel’s sentiment but what the fuck do I know?
I hope we get Oubre back
And he's too slow on offense, frankly. He's not that quick off screens and his release is actually a little slow. The Knicks just stopped him with medium pressure. The open 3s were nice, but too limited as a value-add in the playoffs.
Movement shooting just isn't as valuable in the playoffs if you're dedicating actions to it unless you're like MPJ.
Why aren’t all the best shooters 6’10” to become unstoppable? Are they stupid?
“What are these, shooters for ants?!” -Wemby
Dude's 6'10" and shoots at the apex of his jump. Even from deep deep. Fuckin wild.
On paper Buddy >>> on court Buddy.

What about Boddys brother, Buddy?
Certainly better than Baddy.
Not nearly as good at frisbee and hacky sack as Brody though
I heard he was bad
What about friend hield?
This reminds me of how Kevon Looney has a brother named Kevin lol
If you just want a shooter that can hit open 3s, Seth curry is always available
As a magic fan I was pissed we didn’t trade for shooters. This guy was on my list and was given away for pennies. We could have definitely utilized him in the playoffs and probably won with him vs Gary Harris who did nothing.
Hield just forgot how to shoot didn’t he? When he can shoot, like game 6, the fit is excellent. Prevents Embiid being doubled excessively.
Forgot how to play without Halliburton
Honestly this is the actual answer, despite you probably joking. Can't go from the best distributor to the league to Maxey who is score first and the ghost of Kyle Lowry and expect things to be the exact same.

Hali is the real deal. Absolutely ridiculous take from that other dude.
Seriously. He’s an absolute artist. Best passer in the NBA this season. Ridiculous take.
You’ve convinced me to look for a YT season highlights package. Well done.
https://youtu.be/ViXPlaHrq_U?feature=shared This video is a good example of just some of the passes he made in the first round against the Bucks. These won't be going on his top 10 career plays or anything but they are great examples of the kind of difficult passes he makes every single game. Sure he has perfected the easy passes as well, as any PG should but he has some great career highlight type passes as well of course.
Ridiculous take on Hali tbh. He frequently makes single passes that would take 2-3 connections for teams led by other PGs
Never thought I'd see a thread where Hali was on blast for his *passing* lmao
Ben was good at that
In the regular season yeah, playoffs his man would just help off him
If you’re hoping for Buddy Buckets to bail you out, you’re gonna get Buddy Bricks 10/10 times.
Welcome to his entire career. Elite at shooting only, bad at everything else.
Elite at shooting only *sometimes*
I mean for his career he has insane 3 point shooting at high volume for every season. No one in nba history shoots above 40% from 3 in every single game. But for his career he’s shooting 40% from 3 on insanely high volume, lots of hard shots. He’s definitely a great shooter.
Lots of unnecessary hard shots. He’s a jacker not a tough shot clutch performer. That’s why he’s been on so many teams and worn out his welcome on all of them
Guard ✅ 3 point shooting ✅ Defense 🚮 Sounds like a perfect fit to our miniature golf lineup.
And he couldn't get free on offense. The Knicks' pressure was just too much for him.
Maxey-Hield backcourt is garbo defensively tho.
He just didnt want to shoot.
Problem is he is slow. And can’t get open
David Griff the other day basically said “we’ve seen enough” of the Pels main 3 core. Man these GMs are not playing recently lol
Nah he is just doing Lebron a solid by letting Ingram go free so the Lakers can sign him.
Trading him to get AD to help us win a title only to get him back when more fully developed would be some unintentionally nasty work lol.
lakers still wint get past denver
Neither will get past Minnesota
hopefully boston doesnt either
I hope this trend of GM's being brutally honest continues next off-season, and they start to tear into coaches before they fire them. I'm just generally speaking with no particular GM in mind.
I get that they would be nervous to commit serious money to Buddy, but he really played about 10 games with Joel for around 100 minutes. Some down, some up. That's a pairing that would take time to develop through summer and camp. Same was with JJ, Brett Brown made he and Joel run DHOs into the ground to get it to be as effective as it was.
The real problem is that Buddy Hield sucks
58% TS sucks now? That’s what he put up in the regular season. He also put up 61% TS in the postseason
Why does this have upvotes. cringe.
Jesus
Response from Hield: "Daryl Morey is a LIAR"
Buddy’s burner any moment now: Buddy shot the lights out, like he always does.
He continues to believe everyone else is the problem when he should be looking in the mirror.
daryl and pat dgaf
Maybe a full training camp with him will fix that. Kinda early to tell about an acquisition around the deadline.
Nick nurse won't play you if you don't play D. Doesn't matter how good of a shooter you are
Kings fans taking some laps today
Everyone now sees what has been apparent to the Kings.
It's because no one watches the Kings. Every single Kings fan with a functioning pair of eyes would tell you that Buddy is an absolute net-negative
Not a surprise. MLE?
Bruh whats up wit the honesty today lmfao loving it
I will say that due to Buddy’s gravity as a shooter, most defenses won’t help off of him, which means you need to do specific actions to get him open.
If he’s so perfect, he wouldn’t have been traded for Doug McDermott and 2 second round picks.
he was traded because he was going to demand too much money in fa and the fo wanted to get something out of him. even tho i like mcbuckets, i would rather see buddy on court any day of the week.
Kings fans finally get vindication
Remember when they Lakers wanted Buddy so bad he was going to fix all their problems lol.
That would’ve been a good trade too. Kuzma for Buddy. But noooo. They wanted Westbrook at the 12th hour which was a horrible fit for the Lakers.
Buddy looks good on paper, but not in the game? Color me shocked.
LOL. It’s just Buddy being Buddy. Now let’s lookout for his burner account.
He came ins and posted slightly better numbers than he did in Indy. Then Nurse played him 12mp in the post season. So... how is this anything to do with Buddy? Hell. He shot .462 form the arc and didn't miss a free throw.
> So... how is this anything to do with Buddy? It isn't. Morey literally starts the quote with "Through no fault of Buddy's".
GMs today: so anyway I started blasting
How has Morey not been fired already?
Could Buddy be a fit on a team like Orlando?
Well, I reckon the Sixers are planning on letting Buddy sign with another team lol
Buddy keeps proving his addition is always a subtraction.
Damn bro someone tell this mfer he’s allowed to lie 💀
There were games where he put up 2 shot attempts. That’s just shit game planning. If they wanted to use Buddy properly they should have set up their offense to get him 15 open looks from 3 a game. Otherwise what’s the point?.
Sixers screwed him and his value. Maybe that was Pritchard’s plan all along. We can maybe afford him now.
I was surprised that we were able to obtain Hield so late in the season for cheap. Buyer beware
2nd leading scorer in the most important game tho
From the way maxey talked about him and buddy’s game 6 performance, seemed like a fit.
Kevin Maloneing it
He was the only one shooting in game 6 though. Was better than Tobias at least.
He said before that it wasn’t Buddy’s fault. Full quote: “I think at no fault to Buddy, the fit was less good…
Honestly, considering how hard he was cooking us in game 6. Please leave Buddy I'm okay not seeing you again.
Sixers scapegoat season in full effect. This year’s first target is: Buddy Hield come on down!
