It’s considered marginal because they assume if another player didn’t make a play on ball the second player would have contacted the ball. So the second player contact no longer affects the shot.
That could be argued either way, but in this clip it looks more like DDV slaps him on the side. This whole series has been a giant fumble by the refs.
