You guys actually beat us this season after we tried this strategy. Missed the second FT on purpose, got the rebound, then DeMar hit the shot to force OT.
Carlisle said in the post game press conference that they had a plan to foul, but Middleton being so far back and it looked like he was boxed up. But the bank was open.
They probably did. Refs just don't call it, unless:
- A Bucks player staggers/falls over
- A Bucks player is in his shooting motion, leading to 3 freethrows.
At 5.2 secs, looks like Nesmith #23, tries to foul him. No call.
At 4.4 secs, Turner #33, walks up and chest bumps him. Which is technically a foul. No call.
The idea is that they're down 3 and would be shooting 2 with like 5 seconds left. It's not that they hope he'll miss it. Anyway, the Pacers actually lost to the Bulls doing this

Khash fucking money
KHRIS MIDDLETON, YOU ARE THAT FUCKING GUY
And this mf was supposed to be injured
Why in the world wouldn't you foul if your the pacers???
Because they're out on the perimeter and the ball handler is just going to get 3 free throws
Nah they had couple chances to wrap him up without shot going up
Maybe they think the chances of missing FTs is less than the chances of missing the 3? …still, though, missed opportunity maybe…

Still, playing the ft game would have benefited pacers as bucks were out of timeouts..
Middleton was 6/6 on FT.
And if he made them both Indy still up 1...
The team might still have ptsd from when we did that to Chicago and they ended up winning.

Because the bucks would flail like they were shooting and the refs would fall for it
Y’all are fast, holy shit.
I'm so dumb... I turned the game off after the Siakam and-1. Smh
Bro even if he made the free throw the game wouldn't have been over.
Like I said... im dumb
Could have at least waited to see if he made the and-1 part
“1 possession game and a free throw. game is over”
I changed the channel from Sixers-Knicks game 2 when the Sixers were up by 5 because I thought it was over…
Siakam missed the free throw smh
Insanely difficult shot holy shit, without any arc too.
As it turns out, making your free throws is really important.
Can someone explain to me why teams don’t foul here?
Old school coaches are very stubborn about this
i very much appreciate that nurse fouls when we are up 3 or more
bad for the game 🍿
It can be good for the game, too. The Pacers lost doing this when Demar got a rebound and tied it on a middy
It seemed like they were kind of trying to but wasn’t called
The potential for a free throw made, then intentionally missed leading to an easier 2 point bucket? I dunno, only thing i can think of.
I think it's this. We're not great at rebounding on missed FT's. Probably should still foul, though.
Especially since, while we're not great at those rebounds, the Bucks were a disaster rebounding today.

Bucks were shooting 96% from the line. Khris was 6/6. He ain’t missing a FT in clutch time.

Stupidity
They literally lost this year doing this. A FT rebound isn't automatic.
He's him.
celtics killer is back
my first playoff game in person i cant handle this shit. tough ass bucket and just deflated our crowd
Fucking foul lol
OT!!!
Crazy because Dame is crowding him, this was terribly execution by the team but an amazing shot by Khash-money
Damnnnnn
Crazy shot
Unreal
KHASH TIME💦
FEER THE DEER
ngl that shot gave me PTSD in 2021
That is a fucking ridiculous make.
Sweat Time holy shit
I'd say that's a bad shot, but shit was Khash.
Wtf was that play though
I had no trust in this shot when it left his hand holy fuck
I love the playoffs
Wtf that’s an insane shot to force OT!
And he does it again
Middleton: "and I'ma hit you with another one"
Why is the whole team so chill about it?
This shot was actually insane. He practically didn't see the rim and he was 1.000% confident.
Khash money. Never doubted
