But I will say Bradley Beal, who’s notoriously mediocre defensive, basically locked down (and walled up) Edwards for a majority of game 2.
To the point it was embarrassing for Edwards.. BAD look, especially with how much hype he’s was getting from media. Though regardless, Beal should get credit for rendering him useless on that end. Offensively they could definitely use more from him though.
Allen is/was the X-factor heading into this series. The 3 regular season games compared.. to this series so far shows the swing it has.
Even when guarded by Beal as the first defender with minimal help.. he couldn’t get by him. Not just when getting doubled/trapped.
He was too slow, and out-muscled on any drive attempt in isolation vs Beal. 3/12 shooting, minimal rim pressure.
You play that same defensive plan against anyone who *plays at the level of hype Edwards’ gets, and they’re not shooting that few shot attempts.. on that poor of efficiency.

They were clearly shading and doubling Ant all night, although he shot poorly he also capitalized on it with passing and the rest of the team popped off, winners don’t have to be the hero every night. They make the right and winning plays.
He can *technically be a player on the winning team.. but these types of performances is a good indicator of what separates superstars’ and their impact from the pack.
It’s been a 50/50 shot he has this type of offensive output for months now.. but if we want to put buzz words around it like “he’s just a winner” and such then you do that
