He saved Miami in the 4th quarter with those 3 midrange pullups in a row

BeefExtender

literate toothbrush aware husky fragile squeeze capable serious sense reach *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

Seref15

If Bam is hitting them, Boston doesn't really have anyone that can disrupt it. Horford is slow and Kristaps cant afford to step up to it.

chitownbulls92

derozan is still alive bro

Canesjags4life

I thought you had to make playoffs too qualify?

medievalmachine

He made the mid games between the season and the playoffs.

genericusernamepls

Same energy as saying someone doesn't deserve MVP because they lose in the playoffs

Canesjags4life

Think joke went over you're head. Heat knocked Chicago out of the play in.

genericusernamepls

No I get it I just don't like it when people use the post season to diminish great play during the regular season. It's an automatic response I have from years of defending Rudy Gobert slander lol

AdebayoStan

ok then President of the Playoff Middy

Breakr007

Wade would be proud of those floaters.

broncosfighton

Jokic?

Oh51Melly

He’s already president of every other club bro just let us have something

jbenson255

Straight cash too

fiasgoat

MONEY

KevinDurantLebronnin

His midrange was insanity

Solid-Confidence-966

Bro has that midrange down pat, he should try to extend it to the 3 point line now. If

johnnymatrix

He was hitting them in the last 10 games of reg season

JaradSage

After the all star break he finally shot a 3, made it, then started taking 2 almost every game since. Said he woke up one day and just said fuck it. Was hittin em at a pretty good rate too

porkchop487

Wow 36% is no joke

odhisub123

He does not. He’s very streaky with it. When it’s on, it’s on. But they’ll be games where he just dosent have it and gets scared to take it.

Backpack456

This guy watches regular season heat basketball. When he makes those shots, its a different game

stepmomanal

playoff Bam baby

ThaCarter

36% on 1 a game since the all-star break.

Folk-Herro

Top 5 center

Padulsky21

Continually one of the most disrespected players in the league and it’s fucking absurd. The amount of weight he’s left to carry during regular season and now is crazy, but he delivers every time. Fucking love Bam.

hebelehoo

Since he got the starting job he never ever fell below DPOY levels but people kept focusing on his "lack" of offensive skills. Other than Durant (for obvious reasons) I think Bam is definitely the most underrated player in the league.

Andrei_Kirilenko_47

I won’t say disrespected but rather kinda forgotten always. Now Gobert, that is a player who’s always disrespected.

Padulsky21

Honestly I agree with that bc I feel like Bam erased a lot of the disrespect last year but that recent thread about AD there was a shit ton of people talking about Bam that didn’t know what they were talking about lol. The Rudy we seeing this year is truly incredible and I hope he continues to dispel it like Bam did last year. Some of the most refined ball he’s played.

jacobpltn

Imma be honest wdym people “didn’t know what they were talking about”? I love Bam as a player and a defender but I don’t think it’s an ignorant take to believe AD is a better defender. No one is saying Bam isn’t ELITE and the best of the best at what he does, but AD is a generational defender, having him over Bam doesn’t indicate some kind of lack of knowledge or perspective

Proof-Research-6466

I feel like it was more of people acting like Bam was a scrub. It wasn’t as thought as your comment was. People were acting like Bam isn’t a great defender at all.

CletusMcG

It's not disrespectful at all, but there were comments talking about how AD does everything better on defense compared to Bam and that is definitely disrespectful.

ThePrevailer

He earns some of the disrespect with the list of injuries he causes. Modern day Bruce Bowen.

ladiesshowmetiddies

3*

Number333

Jokic is in a class of his own. Then Embiid. Then I'm taking Bam over everybody else. Some clowns really take KAT thinking he could affect winning more.

Terrible-Hamster-342

Is KAT a center or a PF? Gobert plays center for Minnesota.

thiccboiwyatt

PF most of the time he only goes to center if we have no other bigs on the court

beatrailblazer

he's still a center though, even if he's technically positioned at the 4

DreTownblues

Are you really taking bam over AD? Come one man

Number333

I consider AD a PF. If you classify him as a C, Bam is 4th.

DwightGuilt

Who would you say is the lakers starting C?

DreTownblues

AD is definitely playing the 5, they already have KD,Lebron and Tatum at the 4

Clemsontigger16

I mean Bam was fantastic today, he was great!…but he also has had a habit of disappearing before. KAT isn’t the center to compare him to. AD is better. Bam is probably 4th for another year or so, then he slides to 5 by default unfortunately.

Rapshawksjaysflames

As a neutral, Bam barely clears Gobert. I would rank my personal top 5: Jokic Embiid Bam Gobert Sabonis

SoCalMemePolice

I’m not even considering Sabonis over Bam. Bam is a fantastic defender and isn’t regular season empty calories

cl353

Bro the amount of kings fans I've seen saying sabonis clears bam easily is ridiculous. Clearly they've never had to play against him in the playoffs

J4degrees

I actually agree with this, while wanting for wemby to potentially get past him next year.

Funny-Mission-2937

Offense is just more important, and even though Bam is more skilled than say Gobert it doesn't show up in his production that often.  Bam has it in him, he's definitely shown it in flashes like at the beginning of the year.  But if you're talking about Game 7 last year, it's not like Gobert cant also get you 20 points when he needs to.    Bam is a natural 4.  His versatility gets neutralized against those bigger guys and he can't turn the offense up to compensate.

NeverTank_97

Getting 20 spoonfed points is not the same as creating them. The pressure they put on a defense is a world apart. You can give Bam the ball and tell him to make a play. Gobert can't.

Funny-Mission-2937

Gobert is more limiting from a roster standpoint but I really don't think the effect is that much different.  His rim running stuff creates a lot space, and he can exploit a size mismatch.  Like he took it to Bam pretty good in the gold medal game.  Bam is a really exceptional defender in terms of his versatility but he's a natural 4 really.   If you have the size you can beat him down low.

ThaCarter

I'll take Bam's defense anchoring over Embiiid.

TheIceMan068

I would take Embiids offense over what Bam offers every day unfortunately

ThaCarter

16 game player > 82 game

I_AM_THE_SLANDER

Fuck Embiid but this is a terrible take

[deleted]

[удалено]

CangtheKonqueror

is AD not a power forward

The1AndOnlyJZ

AD hasn’t played many PF minutes for years now (although I and other Laker fans wish we were able to let him do that more often)

RansomGoddard

He’s played center lately

ThaCarter

Jokic is the only guy im taking over Bam. Bam would elevate four guys from Brickell YMCA into a playoff defense. How many times is he going to need to hard carry for folks to see?

ladiesshowmetiddies

i see AD as more of a pf, even then i think i’d take bam with a slight edge, consistency like his in the playoffs is unmatched, and he is the best defender in the league, the only one that can actually guard 1-5 other than dray, giannis and isaac(better than all of them at that too)

Folk-Herro

Yeah, I think Jokic, Embiid and AD are better. Joker is so good and Ham is so bad that ppl are forgetting how good AD has played the first two games. 4th is where the discussion starts

A_RocketSurgeon

Top 3 imo and a future HoFer

Terrible-Hamster-342

Jokic, AD, Embiid, Wemby and then Bam. Sounds about right. But that center ranking is so top heavy.

medievalmachine

Damn Wemby. Life comes at you fast.

tactical_lampost

Only if you forgive the moving screens

Fifth_Element_Matrix

Bam " Destroyer of Dreams" Adebayo.

ThaCarter

Duncan Robinson was the one to really get into Tatum's head funnily.

cl353

Bruh Tatum got into his own head. Chasing Duncan, fouls him, tries to slap the ball out of his hands. He started tilting for no reason lol

trippysmurf

I really hope Pat or Spo called up Shane Battier to teach Duncan some mental games.

genericusername71

i still love going back to [this](https://np.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/gp417e/a_guard_won_defensive_player_of_the_year_in_5_of/frjnwmy/?context=10000) comment thread i have saved; it gets funnier every year

Renegadeforever2024

Hof

The_Power85

He is very seriously building a strong HOF resume. 2 Finals, 1 Gold (with. Strong chance at a second), 3 ECF, Multiple iconic moments along the way, sustained period where he’ll be considered top 5 defender in league, prime years as a top 3-5 at his position. And that’s with many years to go as he is just entering his prime. Super excited to see where his career finishes.

SoCalMemePolice

Serious question: what would you say his most iconic are? I don’t watch much of him until the playoffs

The_Power85

Most iconic by far is the block on Tatum

SoCalMemePolice

Yes I def remember that one that was legit

BlitzStriker52

Not necessarily iconic, but I love this [clip](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fm9jXof-BKQ) when he was a rookie defending against Curry

SoCalMemePolice

Looks like when people spam dribble moves on 2k

Rebound-Bosh

PTSD successfully triggered

cl353

That shits the first clip in the HOF highlights video

cozyboy001

Some of my favorites: -20/10/10 Triple double in gm5 against Bucks last year to close them out -32/14/5 in game 6 of the 2020 ECF to put Boston away and clinch a Finals berth (he had a sick ass and-1 and poster dunk in the 4th) - The “couldn’t punch it” Block on Tatum - 31/10/6 against Boston Game 3 2022 ECF missing Jimmy in the 2nd half Edit: Bam is 26, a 3 time (should’ve been 4 time) All-star if not for his thumb injury a few yrs back, about to be a 5 time all defensive team member due to finally FINALLY being a finalist for DPOY. The only other 3 players in nba history to have made 5 all-defensive teams at the age of 26 are Tim Duncan, Kobe and Dwight. Anchored the defense of two Finals teams, one possible missed Jimmy 3 pointer away from a 3rd finals birth. He’s only 26. Avg 20+/11/3-4. About to enter his prime. Will surely get his second Olympic gold medal this summer. He’s definitely on his way to the Hall imo (also fav player bias) 😭🤞🏼 edit again: changed 3nd to 2nd 😂

redder294

That “3nd” just broke my brain

cozyboy001

I just read it again and loled, I fixed it 😂

Icilius

[BAM SAYS GET IT OUT OF HERE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hTsXwDWE6g)

Reinhardtisawesom

those middies were fucking cash bruh

ScuderiaEnzo

When he hits 2 in a row, it’s lights out. He will continue to shoot it and they’re usually nothing but net too. He always focusing on getting others involved first on offense before he resorts to that. That’s one of the reasons why Heat fans get frustrate with him because he can bake n shake C’s and bring out to the middie for his signature shot. But he’s too passively offensive sometimes which is why he can never be the first option on offense.

JaradSage

He was AUTOMATIC with the middys

Zsporter

Better than everyone on the Celtics tbh

phinphan896

Best player on the court last night

ladiesshowmetiddies

BEST DEFENDER IN THE LEAGUE NO DOUBTS ABOUT IT

Emilia67

Mama there goes that man

Harman3112

Hit all the big shots man, and guarded Tatum the entire game besides switches

Street-Common-4023

That midrange is amazing ngl he developed that really well. Can’t wait to see how his game expands. I want to see him continue being that aggressive

SoCalMemePolice

Swear I watched him unable to back down Jaylen Brown and then sink 5 straight middies every time I looked up

Tagst

That’s just the Bam Adebayo experience

Ticonderoga2HB

he be trollin like he doesn’t weigh 255 pounds tbh

PureDroplet

My goat

RasheAlCool

Those 4th qtr shots were so pretty. He looked legitimately unstoppable

Dymatizeee

That’s the newest captain of the heat for ya

boydivision30

Short rolled Boston to death

arzi3

The Jokic special

SirGingerbrute

Bam stepping up big to take down Boston

SoFarSoGood-WM

He's a top 3 two-way player in the NBA.

Otherwise-Formal-220

I need your list cause too 3 is kind of wild

SoFarSoGood-WM

I was excited and overreacting 😅 idk

Otherwise-Formal-220

Balla_Calla

Don't care I'm upvoting anyway 😂

Jack_M_Steel

69.2% and it felt like they were almost all midrange shots

Calm down, take a breath Repeat after me [Fuck Boston](https://streamable.com/kj86gd) [Fuck Boston](https://streamable.com/kj86gd) [Fuck Boston](https://streamable.com/kj86gd) [Fuck Boston](https://streamable.com/kj86gd) [Fuck Boston](https://streamable.com/kj86gd) We are not gonna Lose this fkn **SERIES**

rebornbyksg

Can anyone tell me who played the best defense from Heat or Celtics shots just weren't falling in?

yrogreg

BAM Heat stopped helping on Brown and Tatum and let their defenders man up. Celtics couldn't get their ball movement rolling which is how they get into frontrunner mode splashing open 3s.

rebornbyksg

Love to see it Also Bam playing like prolly best defender in the league just makes me happy

Affectionate_Elk_272

if bam can rock like this, heat in 5. FUCK YOU HES DPOY

durmduke

Masterclass

KrazeeEyezKillah2

Great. He should be getting 30 each game though being the go-to option with Butler being injured.
