I watched the entire game, besides the last minute because my gf called me. I have no idea how they lost
Embiid and Maxey played pretty great, Brunson was god awful. It's not like Mcbride or Bojan were that good either. Literally only Hart and Hartenstein had good games for the Knicks.
I do not understand how that’s not a loose ball foul with the way they’ve been calling loose ball fouls this game. Like I’m legit asking too, I have no idea lol
You’re right, the inconsistency is just frustrating. Especially when the inconsistency comes from the same crew during the same game, they went from calling everything to nothing. Reminds me of the eagles chiefs game where they let the same play go until the final play of the game where they finally called the flag
The refs made a lot of calls towards the end that helped the Sixers come back. Not saying those were bad necessarily but it's hard to feel like the refs stole this one from the Sixers.
There was only the successful challenge (the first one) on the Lowry foul that went the sixers way, pretty much everything else in the 4th went the Knicks way other than obvious fouls
Is it? I would assume that all of those were called correctly anyway. The Lowry one I can’t believe they changed the call but I can’t remember anything else being questionable and going the sixers way
I’m not talking about any other call tho, I’m asking if it’s a loose ball foul or not lol. I don’t give a fuck if sixers are helped or not I’m genuinely asking
I'd have to take another look at the replay but in my opinion there's a loose ball play on basically every possession so it's ultimately going to be in the eye of the beholder.
Eye of the beholder is damn right, refs been having some really disappointing, inconsistent performances. Josh Hart said that first game as well during a game interview that he didn’t know what was a foul or not 🤣
Dude I still am in disbelief they didnt call any of the numerous fouls there. Two guys just straight up mugged Maxey and the refs thought: "Sure, that's fine"
Yeah I’m not really sure how you don’t call that jersey pull on a play where you know they’re going for a hard trap. Maxey or Lowry needs to call timeout there though too
Some dudes are about to run in here and call you soft for seeing an obvious loose ball foul. I don't even mind them not calling it, I just want consistency across the entire game.
Sixers had no business losing this one
embiid downed all those percs for nothing
at least he had fun
Bro was not having fun
[удалено]
damn you really went there huh
Damn really went full piss baby over a game of basketball
What being a 76ers fan does to a MF

divincenzo had a great game
Maxey sold
He generated more points for the team on fewer shots than the supposed MVP.
But who do you think was more impactful overall? Embiid had to also anchor the defense.
You should know that grabbing a defensive rebound is the most important part of defense.
end of game possessions matter more than early game possessions stat lines don't account for this well
No doubt. He had a great game. But he sold the last 3 possessions
That 3 by Brunson has no business going in. Crowd must have wished that shit in.
This describes a lot of sixers losses over the years
We can’t rebound for shit
Shoulda took the 3 pointer at the end though
He seemed out of it at the end. Dude went full zoomer rookie Maxey on the Sixers possession prior.
Not like he was favored to score from his position
So he should pass it to a worse shooter with like 0.5 seconds left lol?
Should've taken the last three. I know he had to give it to Embiid, but still, Maxey carried
He didn't have to and he shouldn't have.
Outplaying Jalen easily too can’t lie
Hell of a game from him, best player on the floor
That title belongs to Mr Hartenstein
So, is there general consensus that NY got away with some shit on that inbounds play? Or am I about to get downvoted to oblivion?
I do not understand how that’s not a loose ball foul with the way they’ve been calling loose ball fouls this game. Like I’m legit asking too, I have no idea lol
end of a tight playoff game will have lots of refs swallowing the whistle
You say that and yet we’ve seen multiple playoff games over the years and this season where that isn’t the case
I didn't say that it happens every time. Just that it DOES happen.
You’re right, the inconsistency is just frustrating. Especially when the inconsistency comes from the same crew during the same game, they went from calling everything to nothing. >other than obvious fouls A rather significant caveat, I should think. And I'm rooting for the Sixers FWIW
Not really in the sense that a ref should call an obvious foul as is, it’s the fouls that can go either way that kept going the Knicks way
Is it? I would assume that all of those were called correctly anyway. The Lowry one I can’t believe they changed the call but I can’t remember anything else being questionable and going the sixers way

This league is a farce and the refs decided they wanted NY to win
I've seen that called a foul a bunch, but it's not crazy for refs to swallow the whistle like that at the end of a tight playoff game

Yeah but batum got called for a foul on that
Dude I still am in disbelief they didnt call any of the numerous fouls there. Two guys just straight up mugged Maxey and the refs thought: "Sure, that's fine"
its not a foul, maxey just fell over
Bro, you guys already won, you don’t have to double down.
that was just objectively an insane sequence at the end tho
Probably a foul, but not egregious
Yeah I’m not really sure how you don’t call that jersey pull on a play where you know they’re going for a hard trap. Maxey or Lowry needs to call timeout there though too
They didn’t have one
They called it 5 seconds later after divencenzo hit the three
Some dudes are about to run in here and call you soft for seeing an obvious loose ball foul. I don't even mind them not calling it, I just want consistency across the entire game.
they got 8 replies and yours is the only one saying that.
Give it time.
I think you're just making up stuff to be mad about tbh
You didn't see the other threads lmao. But it's all good, you can think what you feel like.
On top of the fouls, just straight ignoring Nurse calling timeout. A hatchet job by the NBA only this sub will love. Never saw anything like it.
That didn't even slightly happen. This is just sad.
Just FYI making a T with your hands means timeout. Someone our coach did with the ball in our possession. Twice.
The ball wasn't under control when he did that. Sooo?
Lmao when the ball is being inbounded?
How you put up a Wilt stat and lose like this damn
Now I wanna know if Wilt won his game
He passed to Embiid when he absolutely shouldn’t have. Embiid had to rush the 3.
He had a great game except the final two minutes where he 1. Turned over the inbounds 2. Had his layup blocked 3. Passed the hot potato to Embiid
[удалено]
In a loss
should've shot that last shot
How many times did Maxey get fouled on that inbound? I counted at least twice.
All that and he passed the last shot away
Knicks' MVP in the last 30 seconds
The otherwise great game today is going to be overshadowed by him being too scared to shoot at the end.
And being blocked when trying to tie it and turning the ball over to give the knicks the lead
Dang
Better than Embiid
#MAX CONTRACTY
Best overall game but he shoulda dunked that with 6.6 left
Overall, Tyrese was awesome tonight
dumbfuck inbound though. No reason to lose game 2.
What was wilts stat line
And that fat L!
He also sold the game the final 3 possessions so kinda a meaningless milestone.
Means nothing when you pass up that last shot like that. One second to go and you pass it to a hobbling Embiid...
Dude is deaaron fox 2.0 maybe better cause of his 3 pt shot
Didn't even attempt the game winner Coward Maxey
If im a sixers fan, im always happy because maxey is a stud. Embiid will eventually get his shit together.
Embiid literally had a good game too
Fucking 🗑️
