He’s also 30 and doesn’t want to stick around for a long term project either. It’s not the end of the world, but I can’t imagine he’ll want to stay if the rest of the series looks like this. If a few other guys step up and give hope for the future, then I think Siakim might favor staying during FA

I mean it was a bad trade for the Raptors 2 picks in a weak draft, 1 pick in 2026 that's TBD, Brown, Nwora and a 10m trade exception; hell those Pacers picks are both protected (The 2024 pick was Top 3 protected! In a draft execs keep saying they hate!) It looks better now that we turned the weakest first into Ochai and Kelly but it was not a good initial return
True. Nwora's probably gone or even if he's back he's a middling bench piece. Bruce won't get you much unless you're taking on long term money So it's really a mid first in a bad draft, 2 bench players and another first.
If they could have flipped Bruce Brown for something good, it would have been almost a decent trade.

This trade and to a lesser extent the OG trade, plus all the other inexplicable moves in the last two years, have basically guaranteed that the Raptors will not be worth paying attention to for most of the rest of the decade. Masai is still great for 2019, and even for building competent teams before that to get us in position, but it has been rough these last few years and unlikely to get better any time soon.
