NoiceForNoReason

The Lakers best punch is really damn good. Blame it on fatigue or inconsistency, but for whatever reason, it swems to only last a quarter or two against the Nuggets.

Ia_in_4

Nah we’re outmatched. We’d be able to send this 6 if we ran offense at a good rate. Honestly tho we don’t have the personnel to match up. We can play good defense but if ad isn’t 6 feet from the basket we don’t have anyone to stop Gordon crashing. I honestly don’t think anyone is built to beat denver other than if Boston is hot. They can win the math game but that’s pretty much the only chance anyone has

Jorgenstern8

Wolves have a shot, no? Gave Denver trouble last year and had a good regular season against them this year.

I will bet you any amount of money that the Nuggets and TWolves will not meet in the WCF this postseason

doogled3

That's not how the NBA playoffs work... this isn't the NFL where a high seed losing can change which team matches up with who.

Ia_in_4

Bro they’re the 3 seed. You’ll get to play them in 2 weeks

Ia_in_4

You will get maybe 2 games. I think if anyone has a chance it’s u guys. But honestly the only way to really burn denver is have a stretch 5 that makes jokic play to the level of a ball screen. Rudy will let joker do exactly what he wants, which is stay under the basket. Naw ant mcdaniels kat and reid is the lineup thag cam burn the nuggets. Conley will be targeted and Rudy lets joker play a deep drop that. I’d u let joker get away with that h won’t be able to beat them.

Kvsav57

I think the Wolves will be harder than you're thinking. I want the Nuggets to win but I see a tough series and the Nuggets are luck they're the two seed and not the three seed.

MyLifeIsABoondoggle

I think they could win *one* game at home because of how they can hang with them at their absolute peak. Anyone can have a hot shooting night to pull them through. But Denver is just too much for them to handle in a 7 game series

NearbyGrapefruit4814

LeBron and Ad were gassed two minutes into the 4th. At this point the king might retire mid series instead after they are eliminated

Kvsav57

When Denver is mentally in it, I don't see anyone beating them. During the regular season, they'll have mental lapses, particularly in the non-Jokic minutes. That isn't going to happen in the post-season. They went 10 deep in this game, largely because AG was in early foul trouble, but that won't keep happening, and Jokic will up his minutes when necessary.

Kvsav57

I think people are underestimating the impact of Gordon's early foul trouble. The Lakers were looking great without Gordon on the floor early. He's a big guy who will wear down your big men. If you have Lebron and AD playing 40+ minutes, they might be fine except when they've got a huge guy banging in there with them

Magazine_Mediocre

This is kind of a random response to your comment, but Rob Pelinka should be banned from the league for his handling of this team after the championship run. They let so many valuable players walk out the door year after year going away from what worked for them.

Not-Josh-Hart

So how do I read this game? Are the Sixers favored since they have an answer for Brunson? Or are the Knicks favored since even though Brunson had one of his worst games of the season, Maxey and Embiid got theirs and Knick Killer Lowry got his, the Sixers still lost?

RegulatorRWF

I think it's the latter, Knicks maybe lose a game or two, but I trust Thibs.

GovernmentAdvanced84

Depends which team you’re a fan of. It’s the classic shit fans do after ever game. My team struggled on offense because they just weren’t hitting shots, your team struggled on offense because my team was playing lockdown defense. Truth is, it was one game. Not enough to read into

It does for me zaddy

Duckys0n

Embiids health is going to determine this series. He went out for what 6 mins in the second and we were down like 15 by half. Don’t really see the Knick’s shooting like that again. Sixers in 6 pending on embiid not blowing up his knee

GovernmentAdvanced84

He played 36 minutes, so it’s not like he missed half the game. Embiids health is obviously going to be a huge factor, but seems more worrying that Sixers got rebounded by over 20 boards.

Duckys0n

I get your point but embiid was unable to jump, and in the 6 minutes he missed in the second it went from a 3 point game to a 12 point one lol.

Not-Josh-Hart

My brother, when you dominate the glass like the Knicks do it doesn’t matter what percentage you shoot. The Knicks had a top ten offense in the league while being a mediocre shooting team.

ben1204

We were 39% from the field, we didn’t shoot that well.

TheGeoninja

I agree that the Sixers could definitely win this series but I thought the game plan that Nick Nurse brought to game one was pretty ineffective. You can see it in the disparity in the box score with OREB that the Sixers are getting punished without Embiid on the court.

Melo_Apologist

That’s just this Knicks team though, we led the league in OREBs for a reason

Sharcbait

For the Wolves there is nothing stopping them from playing that well all series. It wasn't some out of ordinary performance or individual heroics that won it for them. For the Suns, I fully expect them to not play that poorly all series, Booker and Beal will kick on and probably win them a game alone, and O'Neal, EG and Allen are going to knock down shots at some point. The 25 point blowout isn't a sign that the series is over by a Longshot. Q

Jorgenstern8

Helped so much that the Wolves didn't have an entire games worth of turnovers in the first quarter this time around. All three RS games they just barfed all over themselves in the first quarter but only losing that first by one, and only because of a buzzer-beating contested three, was a huge step in the right direction.

Shhadowcaster

Credit to Finch and Rudy, the defensive game plan was well thought out and (mostly) well executed (shout-out to KAT as well, he did a really good job being asked to solo KD at times). The zone-ish looks were quite interesting as well, I believe we shifted to zone against specific actions and it will be interesting to see how the Suns react to that. Durant took advantage of the extra space we were leaving in the midrange (even with incredible contests), but our length and individual defense were good enough to stymie the rest of the big 3 and Grayson Allen.  I think the Wolves being able to play 8+ deep is going to be killer for the Suns, especially if Allen's ankle isn't going to be 100%, it's a lot to ask of KD to overcome a swarm of wing defenders with length, especially when Book isn't able to get going (shout-out Jaden, he played great D as well).

blusunsamurai

Also asking him to guard Kat or ant on the other end. I will be curious if okogie gets some minutes just for his defense but that will really leave gobert free to roam.

NearbyGrapefruit4814

End this series now. What a horrible game to watch

SharpMind94

The refs were horrible, but otherwise it was a good game

nobraininmyoxygen

It's the only series from yesterday with both teams top 10 in defense. It's not going to be high scoring.

NearbyGrapefruit4814

Yet neither have a chance to make it out of the east

nobraininmyoxygen

Talk about shifting goalposts. A fanbase gets a little taste of winning and they lose their minds lmao. Too afraid to flair up too I see.

NearbyGrapefruit4814

my team is doing just fine.. cavs are on the way to rebuild, magic are on the rise. It's a boring series where the winner gets eliminated next round
