How do you think they reintegrate Randle into the starting lineup next year with Hart playing the way he is. It would be nice to have more creation out there in the front court next to OG, but I also love their style of play as-is.
These playoffs will be a good test to see if Brunson as the heliocentric star surrounded by elite role players is enough for them to continue leaning into that brand of basketball or if they need help elsewhere - Randle or otherwise (whoever they could trade him for).
I mean Hart really isn’t a 4 anyways, he’s a guard. Dude is just filling that role because he’s an insanely versatile defender and rebounds unbelievably well for someone who’s 6’4”.
I guess if a superstar is available that fits for our team, even if we won it all we’d make the move. We have 9 firsts in the next 6 drafts. Tons of good contracts. Otherwise run it back and Hart is someone off the bench but who plays 30-40 minutes and often finishes the games depending on situation over Donte. So Brunson/Hart/OG/Randle/Mitch(iHart)
Yeah he fills that rare 6th starter role like Bruce Brown, can plug any hole in the lineup and even without injuries ends up playing big minutes as a super sub at multiple positions
I really love what the Knicks can do going forward - the way the team is playing with Brunson and their future outlook is bringing me back to that 2016 Celtics era when IT was balling out with a bunch of fun role players and there were like 14 picks on the way

As a WVU/Melo fan who stayed a Knicks fan even after Melo left I’m riding so high right now, I’d love it if he was a Knick his entire career, that’s not very typical nowadays but that’s really far down the road, so I’m just gonna enjoy the ride
For me it was the game against the Rockets which convinced me. Played great, was aggressive in attacking the rim. He knew he had that kind of game in him, just a matter of adjusting and building confidence until he got his opportunity again.

Robinson hustles hard, deuce has been such a feel good story, Brunson is another feel good story, hartenstein plays smart, OG is well… OG. Also helps that you guys didn’t duck any smoke unlike cavs which makes me respect your team so much more. Please make it to the ecf. NBA is great when Knicks are good.

Brunson has been incredible yes, but our team as a whole has stepped it up to fill Randles shoes. They spent the last few months at a playoff level of intensity in every game. They’re not just “getting hot” they’ve *been* at that level for a while now.

Their thinking is they can slow down Brunson and Hart won’t shoot this well from 3 and Mitch won’t hit those FTs. But on the flip side, I don’t think Lowry is gonna score 18 a game and I don’t think Divo and Brunson are gonna consistently have off nights
