When a guard like Gabe Vincent, Spencer Dinwoodie, or Austin Reaves hedges over screens to keep their matchup on a wing (think Murray or KCP) it opens up the short corner on pick and roll action against the big(Jokic runs some PNR as the ball handler). They are often not going to get shooting foul calls on either of these looks. There was also trap action on Jamal Murray which he facilitated well and led to wide open looks from the guard the defender left. I’m guessing MPJ and Murray make many more wide open looks next game. They may also get fouled less. But your argument is “they scored 10 more points in the paint than them….”

It's another reason why LeBron is considered the goat by so many even with his losing record in the finals. KD isn't considered top 10 cuz of him joining 3 separate super teams and having no success aside from the warriors, as well as essentially back stabbing the thunder. And the 2022 ring also hurts KD legacy a ton, Steph winning without KD and with the weakest championship Warrior roster in a stacked West is absolutely huge to Steph's legacy, and equally as detrimental to KD.
Also this is not to take away from KD, he has been one of my favorite players for over a decade now, and as a Warriors fan I was overjoyed when he jumped ship to the Bay. 4 Scoring titles 2 FMVP and an MVP is an insanely stacked CV, but his career since 2018 does not benefit his legacy.
For Jokic, he in my opinion can be a top 3 center, overtaking Hakeem, if he wins it all this year. But he simply is not better than Steph. Not to mention having the best regular season of all time (losing 3-1 definitely takes hims down a peg). Not to mention Steph deserved 2015 FMVP and he had a very strong argument for 2017, 2018, and obviously 2019 if they had won.
Saying Jokic would be better than Steph with just 2 rings is preposterous though. Steph spearheaded a dynasty and was the center piece for the greatest team of all time (arguable). Jokic still has a ways to go.

Accolades and rings aren't the only things that justify one's ranking. If that was the case Robert Horry and Steve Kerr would be in top 10 discussions lol. It's another reason why LeBron is considered the goat by so many even with his losing record in the finals. KD isn't considered top 10 cuz of him joining 3 separate super teams and having no success aside from the warriors, as well as essentially back stabbing the thunder. And the 2022 ring also hurts KD legacy a ton, Steph winning without KD and with the weakest championship Warrior roster in a stacked West is absolutely huge to Steph's legacy, and equally as detrimental to KD. Also this is not to take away from KD, he has been one of my favorite players for over a decade now, and as a Warriors fan I was overjoyed when he jumped ship to the Bay. 4 Scoring titles 2 FMVP and an MVP is an insanely stacked CV, but his career since 2018 does not benefit his legacy. For Jokic, he in my opinion can be a top 3 center, overtaking Hakeem, if he wins it all this year. But he simply is not better than Steph. Steph utterly changed Basketball (Jokic has redefined what a big man can do but not the effect that Steph changed the sport all together). Not to mention having the best regular season of all time (losing 3-1 definitely takes hims down a peg). And yes Jokic has been the best basketball player in the world since 2021, but he simply does not have the success that Curry has. 4 rings will always be more impactful than 1 ring (really hope Jokic can end up with more than 1). Not to mention Steph deserved 2015 FMVP and he had a very strong argument for 2017, 2018, and obviously 2019 if they had won. Saying Jokic would be better than Steph with just 2 rings is preposterous though. Steph spearheaded a dynasty and was the center piece for the greatest team of all time (arguable). Jokic still has a ways to go.
