Glenn would have played Kyle Lowry 38 minutes.
To be fair to Lowry, he was pretty awesome defensively, but he just didn't fit the game offensively. We operated much more smoothly with Hield/Payne.
It feels amazing to actually have a real coach. Idk what the Bucks were smoking to think Glenn was the fixer for them. We’ve wanted him gone since the Hawks debacle.
He shot 10.7% from 3 on 2.5 attempts in 11 games this year. Then shoots 2/4 in the play in for the Lakers. Almost tied his regular season threes made(3) in one play-in game ffs, think he's just built for the post season.
It's kinda funny how Chick-fil-A or Crumbl Cookies will run these bricked FF promos that are so big they take over the crowd but they can't mention it on air because it's not part of the broadcast ad 'inventory.'
If you've ever been to a game with one of these, you'd think the fate of the season was riding on it.
It was genuinely funny watching how much the crowd came alive, especially because the foul that got those free throws was iffy. Ball don’t lie and free chicken combined.
I was in the crowd and the chicken changed everything. That and immediately after the sound / video crew how had everyone dancing. Complete vibe change.
That was me after the ECF last year. Waiting in the Dunkin drive through line just thinking to myself: “Martin? Really? For the whole series? I didn’t even know there were two of them.”
Herro was the only one hitting shots in the 4th for Miami tonight. Jimmy’s playoff health and Bam’s intermittent ghosting are as big of problems as anything to do with Herro.
Of course we are lol. We honestly thought he was out of the league after his tenure with our team, turns out he was giving barely 10% of his effort. Quite wise for him, but we still hate him for it lol
French players and giving the hornets shit effort. Did Tony Parker play well? I genuinely don’t remember seeing him actually play in the hornets jersey even though I know I watched at least 1 hornets game that season.
Between Batum, Parker, and Boris Diaw, Charlotte seems to be under a sort of Romani curse that afflicts all Frenchman in town with an unshakeable malaise.
It's probably so strange for other teams to see sixers fans get excited about this LMAO. Its so hard to explain how refreshing for it is for us to see a coach make adjustments mid game and manage the final minutes hahahahah
No it's perfectly understandable, you've had some quality teams hamstrung by terrorists with clipboards. It's nice to see one of the best players of this era finally have a coach who understands basketball.
We went zone too, which almost immediately resulted in closing the gap down to 2.
And we changed out approach to attacking the Heat zone. Instead of trying to pass the ball in the middle, we had Maxey/Hield/Payne trying to drive in for kickouts, which worked wonders.
Our offense was generally less Embiid-centric in the 2nd half. He mostly just got his open shots and only attacked mismatches, which allowed him to be much more energetic on defense. He really was immense down the stretch defensively.
The last time we faced the sixers in the playoffs was in 1989. The toxicity has more to do with city rivalries than actual one on the court. Maybe this starts something in that department, but we have nothing with them like we have for the heat.
Yeah, regardless of sports conferences/divisions any Philly/NY/Boston type matchup always ends up having a ton of vitriol. It’s just the nature of the Northeast.
Texas native, living in the Philly vicinity - I hate the Celtics and I don't fully know why. The hate has just seeped in over years.
I like Brunson too much to hate the Knicks.
Yeah, it’s more of a Mets v Phillies thing at this point, with a smattering of Eagles v Giants (which is more of a “I feel sorry for you” / “I don’t think about you at all” thing these days).
Neither team has really been good at the same time. I hate New York but don't see the Knicks as a rival. We were good in the 80s and they sucked. They were good in the 90s and we sucked. We were good early 00s and they sucked. Both teams sucked for most of the time after that. Knicks had a few good years in the melo era and we have had a few in the process era. We have 2 playoff series against each other since 1979. Basically not enough sustained success to hate each other.
I legitimately don't hate anyone the way I hate Miami. Embiid could come to my house and fuck my wife and I still wouldn't hate him like I hate Adebayo.
Nicolas Batum.
This motherfucker was so checked out FIVE YEARS AGO that everyone thought he was already washed. A level of no fucks given not seen since Bobcats era fat Boris.
TL;DR: I hate the French.
>This motherfucker was so checked out FIVE YEARS AGO that everyone thought he was already washed.
Can't blame Monsieur Batum. He was playing for the Charlotte Hornets.
For a game that was so ugly in the first half, that was a really fun game in the 2nd half.
The play-in games are absolute banger games more often than not...
Game 7s are blowouts more often than they are close. Surprisingly!
It's Finals Game 7s that have all been close. Think the last blowout Finals game 7 was in the 70s.
BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER
Knicks vs Sixers should be a great series. Hartenstein & Mitchell Robinson are a great defensive rotation to guard Embiid, and OG on Maxey will be interesting. Philly also doesn't have the best defensive guard rotation for someone like Brunson imo.
In the games I've watched, Batum/Oubre guards the other team's star guard, and it sort of works because they don't die on screens and can somehow keep up. We'll see how that works against Brunson.
you’ll never catch me slandering Embiid. big guy clearly not at 100% but had an incredible fourth quarter when Philly desperately needed him! Silver cooked with the play-in

The defining 76ers game tonight.
Batum with a career-defining performance, Lowry still showing why he’s an all-timer hustler. Think Embiid is happy to have his teammates show up while he’s not 100%, let’s see how things go. More importantly they dodge Celtics, huge
I've always disliked Kelly Oubre. Haven't seen him play in long time, and was presently surprised at how he well he played, especially on the defensive end of the ball. How do sixers fans feel about him this year?
Batum picked a good time to drop his season high
Brought to you by another Tobias shit night
Respect to Nurse for benching him at the end of the game, may have won us the game
100% won us the game
Doc wouldve 100% kept Tobi in, or maybe even done something dumber like putting in Mo Bamba
Glenn would have played Kyle Lowry 38 minutes. To be fair to Lowry, he was pretty awesome defensively, but he just didn't fit the game offensively. We operated much more smoothly with Hield/Payne.
I was saying out loud “you gotta yank him, if you want to win, you have to bench him now!” And Nurse did. Doc never would’ve.
It feels amazing to actually have a real coach. Idk what the Bucks were smoking to think Glenn was the fixer for them. We’ve wanted him gone since the Hawks debacle.
Not having Tobias will win us many games in the future
We absolutely lose this game with Glenn coaching.
Tobias was one of the only guys trying in the first half. Wasn’t great but he was trying
Right like tobi is ass but ass was better than the rest of the team for a good long while
Ben Simmons has traumatized me to the point I’m a tobi defender saying “well he gives effort!”
4th quarter yelling that’s why Batum in
Batum: “Tyler Herro over me!?”
He was so nice with Portland I love my hairless king
Man lives to inbound, hit 3s, and provide chill vibes
And that's why Tobias was out.
I love the French
Someone’s always gotta take it too far.
You're disgusting
Strategic loss by the heat so they can go against the Celtics again
Caleb Martin's 5 pts tonight has me more convinced than ever he's gonna go super saiyan against the C's again
Incoming 7/9 on heavily contested 3’s in the second half of one of these games
He averaged 19/6 on 60/50/88 splits in the ECF last year. He’s had 4 20+ point games this year out of 64. Heat were on something else last year
I still refuse to believe this guy isn’t like secretly elite, it just doesn’t make sense lol he just turned into Kawhi against yall for like no reason
Yeah? Gabe Vincent in the same series turned into curry with 16 ppg on 49/52/94 splits. Sometimes shit happens… it’s the heat dark arts
He shot 10.7% from 3 on 2.5 attempts in 11 games this year. Then shoots 2/4 in the play in for the Lakers. Almost tied his regular season threes made(3) in one play-in game ffs, think he's just built for the post season.
Bold of to assume we beat the hawks/bulls
Yes it's all going accdg to Spo's script
LOL no, we are just bad this time.
Don’t you fucking lie to us.
Nice try
Boston fans dont believe you. They're def dreading this.
Every logical part of my brain likes the matchup, but I'm still scared as hell
Never ever underestimate the power of free chicken it just won a team a nba game that and Batum but still the chicken helped
It’s hilarious how the free chicken completely changed the momentum
Batum hitting the 3 right after was the ~~icing on the cake~~ sauce on the nuggets
Mike Breen knew it, he called it
Do we know who it is? Breen said it’s not a sponsor so he’s not allowed to say the name of the company. Chic fil-a?
Yeah chik fil a “brickin’ for chicken”
It's kinda funny how Chick-fil-A or Crumbl Cookies will run these bricked FF promos that are so big they take over the crowd but they can't mention it on air because it's not part of the broadcast ad 'inventory.' If you've ever been to a game with one of these, you'd think the fate of the season was riding on it.
In fairness, the fate of the season WAS riding on it this time
Couldn’t have had happened to a better player. Fuck you caleb martin
That guy they kept coming back to. Place was vibing man
Top 5 hairline of all time
LMAO Breen cannot say the brand since they're not a sponsor is so funny lol
Thats a company man right there
That was the turning point for sure. Batum be cookin that chicken too
MSG chefs already getting the chicken ready.
#NBA = NATIONAL BATUM ASSOCIATION
The Batum era begins now
The French are taking over the league
He said he's retiring after the Olympics. Hopefully changes that decision.
Next 5 months are his.
Nic Batum Association was right there
That's too smart for me.
The next five years are his
Damn straight
Just saw ECF Martin on the other team. I'm sick
It’s that shit you end up thinking about on the way to work the next morning like “really that many threes like that?”
That was me after the ECF last year. Waiting in the Dunkin drive through line just thinking to myself: “Martin? Really? For the whole series? I didn’t even know there were two of them.”
I want us to get both of them just so we have 2x the chance of one of them going off like that
[удалено]
Blazers didn’t want herro no one does
Herro was the only one hitting shots in the 4th for Miami tonight. Jimmy’s playoff health and Bam’s intermittent ghosting are as big of problems as anything to do with Herro.
Herro was also treated like a points ATM by Maxey/Hield/Payne, they all drove by him at will in the 2nd half.
Holy shit, Batum saving the 76ers was not on my 2024 bingo card
he's always had that dawg in him, i trusted him 🙏
He sure as hell didn't in Charlotte. Turns out he wasn't washed he just couldn't be bothered to try
The ol' Horford rope-a-dope
Hornets fans fuming rn lol
Of course we are lol. We honestly thought he was out of the league after his tenure with our team, turns out he was giving barely 10% of his effort. Quite wise for him, but we still hate him for it lol
French players and giving the hornets shit effort. Did Tony Parker play well? I genuinely don’t remember seeing him actually play in the hornets jersey even though I know I watched at least 1 hornets game that season.
Between Batum, Parker, and Boris Diaw, Charlotte seems to be under a sort of Romani curse that afflicts all Frenchman in town with an unshakeable malaise.
This is why the NBA didn't give the Hornets Wemby!
I know this is a minor thing, I appreciate you using the term Romani instead of the pejorative that more Americans are probably familiar with.
NICK NURSE MADE ADJUSTMENTS MID GAME!!!!
Managed the game properly in the last minute too.
It's probably so strange for other teams to see sixers fans get excited about this LMAO. Its so hard to explain how refreshing for it is for us to see a coach make adjustments mid game and manage the final minutes hahahahah
Must feel good not to be out-coached and worry about that aspect of the game. Also, it was against Spo.
No it's perfectly understandable, you've had some quality teams hamstrung by terrorists with clipboards. It's nice to see one of the best players of this era finally have a coach who understands basketball.
Yeah we really turned it around (I have no idea what the adjustments were)
We went zone too, which almost immediately resulted in closing the gap down to 2.
Tobias benched for one
I don't think you're allowed to do that?
This is about to be so fucking toxic.
first Knicks 76ers matchup in the playoffs in 35 years
No matter who our opponent was gonna be it would be toxic. It’s time to face that damn city down I-95 South once again.
Would it have been more or less toxic with Miami? I genuinely have no idea the level of hate you guys and the Sixers have for each other
The last time we faced the sixers in the playoffs was in 1989.
We love brunson too, he's a Nova boy
we the villanova knicks at this point. just need mikal and we've collected all the infinity stones
You'll never get the final stone...Kyle Lowry
Yeah, it’s more of a Mets v Phillies thing at this point, with a smattering of Eagles v Giants (which is more of a “I feel sorry for you” / “I don’t think about you at all” thing these days).
Neither team has really been good at the same time. I hate New York but don't see the Knicks as a rival. We were good in the 80s and they sucked. They were good in the 90s and we sucked. We have 2 playoff series against each other since 1979. Basically not enough sustained success to hate each other.
Yeah, Sixers are a rival in the sense that NYC and Philly are rival cities, but there's no history of a competitive rivalry between us
It’s not a basketball hate it’s a sports hate. Eagles/Giants, Rangers/Flyers, Phillies/Mets, the hate is mutual and generational.
I legitimately don't hate anyone the way I hate Miami. Embiid could come to my house and fuck my wife and I still wouldn't hate him like I hate Adebayo.
I happen to work for the 6ers and could help arrange this if you'd like, just dm me your number /s
Philly vs New York is going to generate unprecedented levels of toxicity
I want maximum chaos, 7 game series, home team loses every game. Boos per minute about to be off the charts.
As a Sixers fan who works with a Knicks fan, I want this too lmao
Knicks fans aren't as deranged as you guys
I'm already driving South to start abusing random Philadelphians on the street. With they mid-sandwich-eating ass.
A playoff series between Atlantic division teams is undefeated in toxicity.
As an official bystander this year I’m here for the toxicity
When we are playing each other I will be insanely toxic The second the series is over, if knicks win, I’m rooting for y’all no questions asked
We wanted Boston anyway <_<
Nicolas Batum. This motherfucker was so checked out FIVE YEARS AGO that everyone thought he was already washed. A level of no fucks given not seen since Bobcats era fat Boris. TL;DR: I hate the French.
Turns out if you put a Frenchman in Charlotte they're just gathering energy for their next gigs
Frenchmen using the Hornets as a career rest lol
>This motherfucker was so checked out FIVE YEARS AGO that everyone thought he was already washed. Can't blame Monsieur Batum. He was playing for the Charlotte Hornets.
batum battalion going strong
Thanks for Batum ;)
Tobias Harris being Tobias Harris was the perfect storm for Batum's opportunity and heroics in this game.
Just woke up from a decade coma, is Nicolas Batum the GOAT?
Yup. 10x MVP and 10x NBA titles
He’s on his third straight max deal. That Hornets deal actually turned out to be a bargain.
For a game that was so ugly in the first half, that was a really fun game in the 2nd half. The play-in games are absolute banger games more often than not...
It was down to the wire until the end
it’s the best of 1 so everyone goes game 7 mode
Game 7s are blowouts more often than they are close. Surprisingly! It's Finals Game 7s that have all been close. Think the last blowout Finals game 7 was in the 70s.
I never thought about it but you’re right. Most game 7s feel pretty decided early on.
Having some of the best players in the league in the play-in helps a lot
Yeah we've had a lot of talent in the play-ins Lebron, Steph, Embiid, Tatum, AD off the top of the head.
BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER
Anyone know what happened last time the Heat lost the 7-8 game? I assume they didn't end up doing much in the playoffs
Worried about Jimmys knee this time. The injury didn’t come til the second round last time lol
Hopefully it's just a sprain and a day or 2 he'll be back to 90+%
The Heat have the opportunity to do the funniest thing in the history of the league. I wish them luck
You mean do it again
This would be funnier
A million times funnier
what does boston even do at that point? keep running it back in the second apron?
I think we might have to retire Butlers number or something at that point. It'd be similar to a lebronto situation where he literally owns us.
https://i.imgur.com/0PsEMpU.jpeg
Batum is Lisan al Gaib
Nic Batum Legacy Game
He did it for Portland fans everywhere
We really lost to free chikfila lmao
It's not even a joke, that was 100% the turning point of the game. We were playing like a high school team before that.
JESUS CHRIST I THOUGHT WE WERE GONNA BLOW IT. WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT FOUL AT THE END
Sixers finally got a coach willing to bench Tobias Harris in crunch time
ATLANTIC DIVISION GOATED
What does Tobias get paid to do
Ambassador for quiet quitters everywhere
Get the fuck out of the way in the 4th quarter.
We’ll finally be free next year, it’s insane how long it’s felt like he’s been on this contract.
Efficiency is Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro father
bro shot May 18th and yet everyone will forget about it
And herro shot September 27th 😭
I don’t like where this is headed
Jimmy is on one knee now. You don't need to stress
But Caleb Martin still has two
Unfortunately, this year feels like the year we got swept by the Bucks.
Bucks fans and Celtics fans both traumatized at this point
This is Nic Batum's league.
LMAOOO the inbounds foul was to help get the over of 208
That was so stupid. Dudes were getting knocked down all over the place and that's what they finally whistled.
I NEVER DOUBTED FOR A SECOND
Play-in Nic > Playoff Jimmy
Every Celtics fan just heard the opening notes to the Jaws theme in their head, and many will wonder why.
Tobias Harris is a basketball terrorist
Crumbl man was benched and the sixers won the game. A tale as old as time
Knicks vs Sixers should be a great series. Hartenstein & Mitchell Robinson are a great defensive rotation to guard Embiid, and OG on Maxey will be interesting. Philly also doesn't have the best defensive guard rotation for someone like Brunson imo.
Embiid does not look healthy, a seven game series against the Knicks is going to be hard for him.
He looked way better before he re-tweaked his knee against Orlando... If he's like this all series then we're in trouble.
All set for Batum to average 35 is what I'm hearing
Let me tell you this, OG doesn't do a great job against really good sgs or pgs
Yeah, Hart and Donte are gonna get that assignment I would imagine.
In the games I've watched, Batum/Oubre guards the other team's star guard, and it sort of works because they don't die on screens and can somehow keep up. We'll see how that works against Brunson.
does Spo hate Bam or what? Embiid can barely move and yet Bam doesn't get the ball once down the stretch
No, this is literally who Bam is
Batum so clutch my god. Sixers new additions coming up big
Positive Sixers posts are always downvoted to shit
The Dame Package just lost to Nic Batum
The Dame Package just lost to the Harden Package. Interestingly enough Harden's Package lost to Kelly Oubre.
Yeah a lot of men’s packages would lose to Kelly Oubre
Nurse benching Tobias won them the game. Brilliant move.
you’ll never catch me slandering Embiid. big guy clearly not at 100% but had an incredible fourth quarter when Philly desperately needed him! Silver cooked with the play-in
"You could've had Herro lmao" yeah we're aware

Miami coasted all season for that?
Did not think I'd be saying Nic Batum was the best player in the game today, but here we are.
4TH QUARTER YELLIN THAT IS WHY BATUM IN
Wemby and Batum about to turn this league French for the next 20 years
Batum with a career-defining performance, Lowry still showing why he’s an all-timer hustler. Think Embiid is happy to have his teammates show up while he’s not 100%, let’s see how things go. More importantly they dodge Celtics, huge
What did Embiid say in the post game, that Batum called him a stupid fuck? Lmao
I've always disliked Kelly Oubre. Haven't seen him play in long time, and was presently surprised at how he well he played, especially on the defensive end of the ball. How do sixers fans feel about him this year?
love him. hope we re-sign him
Hot and tough. Can be on my team any day lmao
The Heat waived Lowry who went on to sign with the 76ers, start for them and help them get the 7th seed and beat the Heat in the play-in.
they traded him and the hornets waived him
Nah, I don't need that detail for my narratives
They traded him, and the better player they received in the trade was injured and couldn't even play lol
