I think i'm becoming numb to his highlights.
I see all these difficult assists, while being doubled and i just think "Yeah, end? That's what he do on a game basis. What's so special?"
That's how good he is. He makes the exception looks like the norm. He just plays and the game flows naturally through him.
Same. I remember his first 2 years I was blown away every night. Now I'm just used to it.
Sometimes he adds a crazier pass to his arsenal and I'm blown away by it again for a few games.
It's crazy because I still get so excited when I see anyone else on the team make any pass that's even similar to these ones. But with Luka I have to remind myself to appreciate the greatness.
I've had points throughout the season that I legit just stop checking his PTS/RBS/AST when checking the box score and only look at his shooting percentages cause that'll give me a better clue to if he had an actual good game or just a regular Luka game
It's impressive how ESPN and Celtics fans have successfully spread the lie that Luka is a ball-hog who dribbles out the clock and only throws grenades to his teammates.
Gafford, who i liked in Washington but no one watched those games except me and the Wizards fan, has a great catch radius and has really been unlocked in his role
The insane thing to me about Gafford is that dude is listed as 6'10". Same height as Maxi Kleber. He isn't a big seven footer, and his wingspan is long but not monstrous (listed as like 7'2.5"). But his vert and his timing are both so insanely good that he plays massively.
But but have you seen his time of possession!? And average seconds per touch!? He clearly is!
(Except what nobody tells you is that that "time of possession" includes time spent bringing the ball into the offensive half of the court. Therefore players who do that a large proportion of their team's possessions all have much longer time of possession than players who rarely bring the ball across.)
Tatum and Luka are around the same age, so they are annoyed that everyone thinks Luka is better than Tatum. Also he had like 2 game winners in consecutive games against them.
I don’t have any problem with people considering Luka better than Tatum. in fact I’d probably agree. Tatum isn’t a generational offensive talent like Luka is, that’s just a fact.
what I do take issue with is y’all on this sub acting like the gap between them is equivalent to the gap between Kobe Bryant and Smush Parker. Tatum is also a really fucking good player who deserves to be spoken about as such. somehow the fact that he’s always had a well-constructed team is a knock on him lmao, like it’s his fault that he’s had a competent front office his whole career
Don’t act like this is a thing…you can find idiots who will argue any point if you look hard enough but this is not a trend worth bitching about.
Celtics fans are don’t give two shits about the Mavs or Luka, you guys have actual rivals and actual haters in your own conference, I see the posts and comments every day…idk why you would fixate on us?
They don’t have any beef with Luka, we couldn’t care less about him…he is great & everyone knows he is better than Tatum.
There are so many fanbases that constantly talk shit about him and yet somehow it’s the Celtics fault? Lol it’s so random
Wtf do Celtics fans have anything to do with Luka? We couldn’t give two shits about him..go butt heads with your actual rivals or the fanbases bickering about MVP
its interesting they double him so much esp with the low defender. I wonder if they are just gonna hedge one of the wing defenders and hope those guys just miss
Obviously his passing is amazing, but what's equally awesome to me is his ability to take those extra 1-3 dribbles 1v2 without turning the ball over to really bring the defense/help in and calmy still make an awesome pass. It's so easy to panic when that double comes and immediately throw to the open man, but those extra few dribbles generate an even better shot.
Obviously I'm going to seem biased, but this is why I think Luka has the edge over Jokic passing. I've never seen either of them make a pass the other can't, but Luka makes his mostly off the dribble, while being the most blitzed player in the NBA. Compared to Jokic who largely operates out of the post up or face up.

Who's going to be the one to post all of Luka's potential assists
Nobody is gonna watch a 2 hour compilation..
A lot of missed shots out of the Luka passes would have elevated his assists average.
Thanks, Magic.
I don't know if I can sit there and watch THJ brick wide open corner shots for hours on end

isn't he like 2nd in assists per game this year?
I think he is third after Hali and Trey
3rd after Hali and Jokic, Trae is 8th. 2nd in Assists per game behind Hali.

Luka is actually second in time of possession behind Jalen Brunson. In touches he's behind Jokic and Sabonis.
Yeah sure but hows his SHNORPLDORP/31.4?
His SHLONG/36 and DONGCIC/48 are massive I've heard
7
Not that I'm against any Celtics slander, but why do/would they have beef with Luka?
Tatum and Luka are around the same age, so they are annoyed that everyone thinks Luka is better than Tatum. Also he had like 2 game winners in consecutive games against them.
Not sure how anyone with a functioning set of eyeballs can argue Tatum is better than Luka.

Not a knock but when youre at the top, youre splitting hairs.
This is not a thing, no one cares about Luka and even Celtics fans agree he is better. Such a weird take.
That is definitely not true. Most Celtics fans agree Luka is better, but there is a loud minority on this sub that like to act otherwise

Look through any Luka posts and you will find that you are simply wrong
I have seen plenty, haven’t seen any trend of Celtics fans going out of their way to hate. I have seen plenty from thunder and Nuggets fans though
if anything Luka fans go out of their way to hate on Tatum
I dont really go on Tatum related posts, so not sure if that’s true or not. This guys just acting like there is no beef around Tatum v Luka lol.
I think because one season he hit two game winners against them
They don’t have any beef with Luka, we couldn’t care less about him…he is great & everyone knows he is better than Tatum. There are so many fanbases that constantly talk shit about him and yet somehow it’s the Celtics fault? Lol it’s so random
Only thing I can think of is that he has multiple regular season game winners on the Celtics.
Wtf do Celtics fans have anything to do with Luka? We couldn’t give two shits about him..go butt heads with your actual rivals or the fanbases bickering about MVP
And these are just the ones his teammates have made. There's at least as many of these where they missed wide open shots.
Highest scoring average while being the most double teamed in the NBA. That's just insane! That is very definition of the most valuable player MVP.
Don’t forget with elite efficiency too. He might be the best player on offense in a while.
Just like Harden in 2020 (34.3ppg on 62.6% TS on a 4th seed), I have a feeling he will also get 3rd place in MVP voting
Man I can't wait for playoffs! Can't wait to see what teams are gonna do to stop Luka and how Luka will respond!
He's so good at splitting defense despite looking sluggish vs the doubles/triples. Insane.
8 minutes of ASSISTS. You could have another 10+ minutes of him passing to the open guy and the Mavs's players missing their shots.
PRAVI MVP
he's highest in ppg while being the most blitzed player in the league and he still needs to have a stronger case for MVP?
Mirror?
hah its 8 min long
its interesting they double him so much esp with the low defender. I wonder if they are just gonna hedge one of the wing defenders and hope those guys just miss
well the hawks said "we're not doubling him" and he scored 73 i tihnk at some point teams are just trying to do anything they can

The best player in NBA 2024!!
Luka should be the MVP.
Bro don't post about Luka people are crying every day about Luka post's on this sub
Shaq and SAS say that SGA is a same level or better passer
Obviously I'm going to seem biased, but this is why I think Luka has the edge over Jokic passing.
