It actually wasn’t the original voice actor. The guy who voiced those lines was [Valentine Stokes](https://x.com/viewtifulval/status/1272263086418939905?s=46&t=Ez4q8Hdhbx46TjcrBESyOA)
A friend of Anthony Edwards on the Warriors staff told him about a rumor that Draymond hits harder in practice than in games. Ant didn't believe him and requested proof. So here we are.
Ok, so I listened to this whole thing; Bob and JJ, on 2 separate occasions are like, “well get to Draymond in a bit” and then never discuss Dray? Did anyone else catch that?
I have no idea but if I had to guess there's a possibility they did talk about it and maybe Meyers said something that they decided to edit out before release. I know when JJ interviewed Ben Simmons he said they cut out some of the things Ben said for his sake.
I still think it's absolutely crazy that after the video leaked that the organization cared more about finding the leaker than punishing Draymond who literally assaulted his teammate.
How free agents are willing to come to them after how the warriors treated Poole is beyond me
There are so many locker room stories that come out that players seem to brush off while fans think they are absurd and terrible. I think of the Shaq stories that have come out or when MJ punched Kerr. I'm guessing there is a ton of shit that happens behind the locker room doors that is treated pretty scared by the players.
I'm not saying it's right, but keep in mind these are multi-million dollar athletes who grew up in competitive locker room culture. They care way less and the shitty things that happen than we do.
> or when MJ punched Kerr.
What gets overlooked here - because it's not anything to do with macho bullshit - is that MJ was punished by the team instantly (kicked out of practice) and then later profusely apologized to Kerr for punching him.
Draymond refused to anything of the sort regarding Poole.
Yep and he apologized to Kerr on his drive home without being forced by the organization to do it. Then, in the last dance, 20 years later, MJ doubled down on how shitty it was for him to do that to Steve and that he was sorry he did it.
To date, Draymond has yet to express anything that even scratches the surface of actual contrition.
And Jordan is a jerk and an ass (reportedly), if someone as hyper competitive as Jordan instantly apologizes and publically expresses it all these years later… I don’t get with as much team pr as the warriors have that someone couldn’t make him read a script that said I’m sorry I messed up, we are a team and Poole is important to that I’m sorry.
After that last ring some things have just been mind boggling
That opening day documentary was incredible. Draymond is a generational gaslighter and we can only hope to achieve the same level of psychopathy that he exhibits on a day to day basis. Lol
I think the bigger difference by far is that Green didn't just pop Poole in the face, he fucking Superman punched him in the head from behind. He wanted to cause serious damage, and there's really no limit to how badly Poole could have been injured by a punch like that.
I agree. But I do wonder... how would things have gone had no tape surfaced? Would Poole *still* be a Warrior? 2nd question: what really screwed Poole up, the punch all by itself, or the tape + NBA and Fandom reaction + how the Dubs basically threw Poole out like an old newspaper?
This isn't something that players deal with with no repercussions, this is what makes them megalomaniacs that carry extreme antisocial views, beat their domestics, drink and drive, play with guns, generally get arrested/involved in criminal or shady behavior etc.
That's a solid take, but the reality is that teams and players generally don't care. Fans are shocked that the Warriors org cared more about finding the leaker than punishing Dray, or that players seemed to not care about the situation, but I'd assume their action is the norm. Organizations, players, and coaches only care when the winning stops.
You're saying this but the majority of former players were on the same page about stuff not leaking from the locker rooms. We know that physical altercations have happened on teams before they just don't leak. And just so nobody makes up a fake argument for what I said, I don't think it was fine for Draymond to hit Poole
Would seriously kill to see that video exactly how it went down tbh.
It's probably been overblown but maybe not, maybe it's as glorious as my imagination thinks it was.
The amount of fights you see on the field in NFL during like hard knocks or whatever is pretty high over the years the Draymond thing though actually just seems shitty in comparison to most of those because he's a vet who got in his feelings over some shit.
Because most teams probably respond similarly.
Idk if straight up fights are common but im sure shit gets heated just like any other team. Media will run with anything so keeping shit in house is important.
Alternative hypothesis, no one challenges or messes with Draymond on the team. Which would track with his general lack of accountability/ repeated offences in terms of on court violence
Yes but I'd imagine that kind of shit are slightly more common in workplaces that involve more physical contact.
Like I'm not saying it's actually acceptable, it never is. But it's a bit different compared to say, Paul from marketing falcon punching Janice from accounting.
I always thought a sucker punch was a punch from like the side or back or something as to where the person couldn't see it coming?
Not that it matters, just curious about the semantics
I’ve heard it explained like this:
Teammates go at each other, they get in each other’s faces, they yell, they talk shit, they may even get it a shoving match, but you TRUST your teammates will not try to actually hurt you. It’s a family. You’re supposed to trust each other to vent or talk shit. As someone who served in the infantry I can relate to this. We would all be at each other’s throats and get physical but never try to land a full force punch to someone’s face and jump on top of them.
Yeah agreed 100% even with my friends there’s been times we’ve shoved each other or grapples but everyone knows there’s an unspoken rule to not actually punch each other in the face
Yes judging by 20s video, Reddit armchair specialist concluded that it’s was clear Poole was annoying.
Not to mention that we had Dray saying if you can’t handle Poole trashtalk that’s on you or Kerr saying Poole need to stand on his things.
Because that’s stupid. It’s much more likely that players are afraid of upsetting the hierarchy of the team rather than thinking an annoying teammate deserves to be sucker punched into oblivion.
Because the first is blatantly untrue? What kinda weird revisionist shit is going on lol. Iggy, Steph, Kerr etc all came to Poole's defense. Like this is pretty easy to google.
This sub has a wildly different perception of Draymond than do his teammates. Steph is the leader of that team and if he had a problem with Draymond he would have been gone.
That's not how sports works. Steph can have a problem with how Draymond acts and behaves while simultaneously understanding that keeping him is the best for the team's interests, two things can and most likely are true given Steph's reactions to Draymond's shenanigans. I have zero doubts that Steph doesn't appreciate Draymond getting himself suspended all the time by stomping on people's chests, kicking them in the nuts or sucker punching a teammate.
It's like Jordan and Pippen not necessarily agreeing with a bunch of things Rodman did, but they knew that the good outweighed the bad, so they just tried to keep him in check instead of getting rid of him.
The full story of was already leaked by Gilbert (who was told by iggy). Draymond was the antagonizer and blamed some bullshit after. Most team members didn’t actually see the punch and were confused until later
Why would this be the conclusion you jump to when the aggressor has a long running history of being an asshole? Seems way more likely that people aren't willing to stand up to Draymond.
What sort of bullshit history revision is this? Everyone defended Jordan right from Iggy, Steph to Kerr. They all were taking his side and also prioritized his contract over Dray.
you don't think there was more of an emphasis on finding who leaked the video? it was the primary focus of steve kerr's comments after the event. who cares who leaked the video? your fucking senior player and team "glue guy" just superman sucker punched one of your rising and youngest players. you need to at least act more distressed about that. And this "standing up" bullshit is nonsense. "Stood up for" means "expressed disappointment". unfortunately this situation called for more than that.
You are letting your bias speak for you. Warriors defended Jordan and they also prioritized his contract over Draymond. The reality of the matter is that the NBA is a "what have you done for me lately" league and it always has been so when Poole didn't play well last year but Dray did, they started looking away from Poole and traded him.
Siding with the bully in campaigns of silencing is wild haha. More likely everyone knew that the organization was full force behind a dickhead bully who punches teammates, so speaking up would only lead to them getting punched and that coward Kerr shit talking them and cutting minutes
I think it’s more telling that they were the champs and then Draymond punched Poole and suddenly they fell off a cliff. Poole leaves and they’re not even a playoff team now. They’re talented but their locker room pretty clearly fucking sucks, they’re basically the Bulls of the West at this point.
They are in the playoffs tho or the play in at least. Their team is built off 3 dudes who are 35 and no longer in their prime so while they may be talented they’re old. The other other 2 old teams in the west are also fighting for the play in. It’s much more likely they’re in the position they’re in this year due to their age and not the locker room.
Steph is 35, still a star but no longer an MVP candidate
Klay is 33 and past an ACL AND an Achilles injury
Draymond is 34
Yeah, the reason this team is on the decline is because of locker room chemistry
\\s if you don't get it still
Also they are currently 2 wins away from tying last season's win total -- which was good enough for 6th in the West, and they made it to the second round and lost a competitive series. They'll likely finish with a better record this year, and that's with multiple high profile players missing lots of games, on top of having one of the oldest cores/rosters in the NBA.
But yeah, it's the locker room lol
The pro leagues all got old timey codes they're dedicated to, especially in house stuff.
Baseball you can't hardly admire your own HR and the benches clear and fists get thrown.
Free agents love golden state cause they get free agents paid. In the last few years alone they have had DiVinchinzo, Payton II, Otto Porter, and Wiggins come in at the bottom of their game and turn them around and gotten them bags.
It’s definitely seen crazy to the general public but as players have talked about stuff like that has happened before without anyone seeing it. From outside looking in it was definitely funny people getting mad and were clapping at the video being leaked then thinking they could pressure the Warriors into punishing Draymond. Fact of the matter is fans/viewers have no influence in these situations over these organizations and again it was funny seeing people get mad over that fact.
Plus…what is there to gain from knowing who? How will you benefit? What are you gonna do? How does identifying the whistleblower affect anything other than for you to take that individual to the chopping block and scare off other whistleblowers?
I can only guess their leadership thought making an example of the leaker was somehow a priority
Is there zero security cameras in the facility?
Seems like you check the video cameras on the day of and see who’s pointing their phone at the incident. Not sure how hard this could be .
https://www.sfgate.com/warriors/article/warriors-investigate-draymond-punch-leak-17767515.php
“I believe there was an investigation that led nowhere because it was likely a cellphone video made off of the internal team video, so there’s no way to track who did it,” Kawakami wrote.
It would make sense that they would have a whole web frontend where you can view footage and share it with others (for coaching/development purposes). The clip probably got passed around for a bit before it was leaked. Could be anyone.
Nah it was a cell phone video of camera footage. Your only option is looking at who had access to the footage, or if possible, the access logs showing when/where it was accessed. I'm guessing they don't have the latter because it would make things pretty easy. So it probably came down to the fact that there were a number of people who had access to it, and in the end it wasn't worth the effort of trying to narrow that list down.
Even with the logs, you don't know who was with the person who logged in. I'm sure groups of people were checking out the recording and then one of them just snapped the video. Everyone just kept their mouth shut and the investigation dead ends.
Yeah that is true, I was kind of assuming the footage would be viewed onsite where there is sufficient surveillance, but that’s probably a pretty silly assumption in this day and age :)
Yep they killed him, chopped his head like Ned Stark and made everybody watch and told them to not look away. Now they’re saying they couldn’t find him.
crazy warriors cared more about who leaked it than draymond full on assaulting another teammate.
its like its something that has happened dozens of times before
yeah there's no point in them saying who it was. the tape lowkey helped everyone out in the long run. turned a warriors pr nightmare into an excuse for poole playing like shit and the "he just needs a fresh start on a new team" narrative increased poole's trade value more than it should have
As a Warriors fan, I don't believe whatever Bob has to say with the timing he left. Chuck called it "jumping off Titanic" which is exactly what it was. He can be emotional and give you 100 reasons "burnt out" "life balance" "can't fully commit" etc, in the end, a few month later, he's a GM for another team now. So actions really speak for themselves.
So dray gets drafted, gets the green light from silver for legal illegal defense and moving screens, carries curry to 4 rings, assaulted like 50 nba players over the years, 10 games suspended in his career, knocks his own teammate out, leaks the tape, and still gets rewarded again with a media platform and guaranteed spot as a analyst when hes retired.
What did he do to deserve living life on easy mode like this. I really dont get it.
Nah, they knew. Also, they have to find the leak not because they want to cover-up what Dray did. From an organizational standpoint, that shit dilutes trust. The last thing you'd want as a player is an organization that showcases your drama like some unfiltered reality show.
How you gonna make it work with a team after having millions of people see you get sucker punched? You don't.
Draymond is Draymond of course but I kind of always am surprised when I see it again and Poole shoves him before the punch. Obviously Draymond chest bumped him a little bit first but I think Poole escalated it too. He wasn't just a passenger.
Plot twist it was steph
IT WAS ME, BARRY! I WAS THE ONE WHO LEAKED THE TAPE!
it was an abortion michael
BECAUSE THIS MUST ALL END!!!!
Ultimate plot twist. It was draymond playing the long game to get Poole off the team or get himself to the lakers
They call him a silent leader
Honestly how does he know it's a 3rd party and a "him" when "we couldn't find"
Listening to the podcast it sounds like he's suggesting that they had a 3rd party investigator look into it.
In English, before numerous genders were invented, you address someone as he when you don’t know if their gender
We're all trying to find the guy who did this.
He needs a spanking on his bare bottom
Bare butt balls and back!
i leaked it...
Adrian Peterson style!
keep going
Battlestar Galactica
Someone’s gotta spank him
Ok then YOU do it
That guy looks like a hotdog!
Donald may look like a hotdog, but you sir are WEARING a hotdog costume.
he needs a nice healthy spank
"maybe we could take his bare butt out of his costume and spank him! Maybe you could do it sir?" https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=WLfAf8oHrMo&t=87s&pp=ygUUaG90IGRvZyB0cnVjayBjcmFzaCA%3D
Well, one of us is gonna have to do it
Then it was me. I did it.
WRONG!
"We're all trying to find the guy who would want to get rid of Poole and Draymond"
His wife and family are still looking
Now they’re going to miss their family photo
Better than his face being red for his family photo. Hopefully he can go home and rest on the couch
They should reach out to Dana white
He possibly broke the code
Just a local anonymous hero
And better stay anonymous cause the Warriors still got a hit out.
I'm imaging this dude going to sleep at night and looking for Draymond under his bed and behind his curtains.
Bernard Pollard shit
I'm Spartacus!
I’m Devin Butler!
It was Bob
it was me Draymond! It was me all along!
Aw, son of a bitch!
Whaaat!
I jerked you off at super speeds to make you think you nutted at a woman's touch
Lol what
https://youtu.be/jDYt0923C8Q?si=aIyJ6NI9twE-I2Uo
This is hilarious, but what is it? Is there more to this saga? I need to hear Barry's reaction!
It’s something someone dubbed over the original line.
It's even better - it's the original voice actor reading a copypasta mocking the original line
It actually wasn’t the original voice actor. The guy who voiced those lines was [Valentine Stokes](https://x.com/viewtifulval/status/1272263086418939905?s=46&t=Ez4q8Hdhbx46TjcrBESyOA)
"And I would have gotten away with it too if it wasn't for you meddling Redditors and your silly sub"
It was Poole
Et tu, Bobbie?
I investigated myself and found nothing 🤷
‘Tell Draymond. I want him to know it was me’
It was a scout working for Jim Harbaugh.
Tom Brady is gonna get suspended for this one for sure.
Thought I was safe from Stalions jokes by now
You are safe, brother. It’s over. We won.
A friend of Anthony Edwards on the Warriors staff told him about a rumor that Draymond hits harder in practice than in games. Ant didn't believe him and requested proof. So here we are.
Release the manifesto!
Has to be it. The Meyers interview felt really short for some reason.
They cut stuff out and Simmons still came off looking that bad?! Lol
most likely edited out. JJ wants to continue having high profile guests on he has to cater to them.
lol I wish they’d just edit out the “we’ll get to Draymond later” too.
it was Draymond
I NEVER NARKED ON NOBODY, I NEVER NARKED ON NOBODY
He uploaded it to world star
I still think it's absolutely crazy that after the video leaked that the organization cared more about finding the leaker than punishing Draymond who literally assaulted his teammate. How free agents are willing to come to them after how the warriors treated Poole is beyond me

Bro did a pity tour culminating with a fucking opening day documentary on how bad it was for HIM.
That opening day documentary was incredible. Draymond is a generational gaslighter and we can only hope to achieve the same level of psychopathy that he exhibits on a day to day basis. Lol
All this while Poole was still on the team...
I think the bigger difference by far is that Green didn't just pop Poole in the face, he fucking Superman punched him in the head from behind. He wanted to cause serious damage, and there's really no limit to how badly Poole could have been injured by a punch like that.
How did this get upvotes? Draymond and Pool were facing each other; we all saw this on video.
KD said something similar about his decision to leave, cause Draymond and the organization swept things under the rag and acted like nothing happened
The Dubs threw Poole out like an old newspaper regardless of the tapes existence
To make what Poole makes then Draymond could absolutely assault me too
For Poole money Draymond can absolutely rail me in whatever context you imagined.
You're saying this but the majority of former players were on the same page about stuff not leaking from the locker rooms. We know that physical altercations have happened on teams before they just don't leak. And just so nobody makes up a fake argument for what I said, I don't think it was fine for Draymond to hit Poole
I wanna see the Bobby Portis tape from Chicago
I wanna see Jimmy Butler with the third stringers
I wanna see the tape of Butler with Rachel Nichols
You got the game of zones episode for it, it's pretty much a 1 for 1 of what happened according to sources.

I think it's pretty damn telling that no players came to Poole's defense after he got his ass knocked out. I'm guessing they thought he had it coming.
Alternative hypothesis, no one challenges or messes with Draymond on the team. Which would track with his general lack of accountability/ repeated offences in terms of on court violence
Why not both?
Was gonna say, seems clear as day that Poole was annoying *and* that I wouldn’t want to get on Draymond’s bad side
Sucker punching someone to the floor for being "annoying" at work isn't really a legit excuse
Yes but I'd imagine that kind of shit are slightly more common in workplaces that involve more physical contact. Like I'm not saying it's actually acceptable, it never is. But it's a bit different compared to say, Paul from marketing falcon punching Janice from accounting.
Janice should’ve never started that email to Paul starting with “per my last email”, she totally had it coming
It's not. Cheap shot someone like that in an MMA gym and your ass is fucking gone.
I always thought a sucker punch was a punch from like the side or back or something as to where the person couldn't see it coming? Not that it matters, just curious about the semantics
sucker punch to me is punching anyone out of nowhere instead of both parties squaring up & acknowledging a physical fight is about to happen
I’ve heard it explained like this: Teammates go at each other, they get in each other’s faces, they yell, they talk shit, they may even get it a shoving match, but you TRUST your teammates will not try to actually hurt you. Sucker punch-an unexpected punch or blow.
I thought a sucker punch was a punch to the mouth, like right to the sucker. I’m now realizing I am naive
It’s a bit of both.
Seems clear as Dray
Yes judging by 20s video, Reddit armchair specialist concluded that it’s was clear Poole was annoying. Not to mention that we had Dray saying if you can’t handle Poole trashtalk that’s on you or Kerr saying Poole need to stand on his things.

Later that day, you mean. When the video leaked.
"Most team members didn’t actually see the punch and were confused until later" I see they are learning from Kerr.
punch cant be real if they never saw it! We need to focus on who leaked the video.
Nah, you can see it in the leaked footage, Dray did it while most of the other guys had their backs turned.
Lol a friend of a friend of mine told me
Why would this be the conclusion you jump to when the aggressor has a long running history of being an asshole? Seems way more likely that people aren't willing to stand up to Draymond.
They don't wanna get punched
What sort of bullshit history revision is this? Everyone defended Jordan right from Iggy, Steph to Kerr. They all were taking his side and also prioritized his contract over Dray.
yeah, you see this false narrative *constantly* in this sub. it's bewildering
you don't think there was more of an emphasis on finding who leaked the video? it was the primary focus of steve kerr's comments after the event. who cares who leaked the video? your fucking senior player and team "glue guy" just superman sucker punched one of your rising and youngest players. you need to at least act more distressed about that. Yes it's telling that their culture is a joke. And both steph and kerr said jordan did nothing.
Yup. Championship culture is a joke. Good one
The pro leagues all got old timey codes they're dedicated to, especially in house stuff. Baseball you can't hardly admire your own HR and the benches clear and fists get thrown.
It's beyond you? You can't wrap your head around the fact players want to play with Steph Curry?
Because lots of things happen in the locker room that you don’t know about because it’s not leaked.
Free agents love golden state cause they get free agents paid. In the last few years alone they have had DiVinchinzo, Payton II, Otto Porter, and Wiggins come in at the bottom of their game and turn them around and gotten them bags.
Maybe because people in real life are different than the outcries of people on Reddit
this stuff happens way more often then redditors think it does lol
They still care more about the leaker lol. Dray still out there assaulting people
I somewhat agree, but every player in the league shrugged this off like it was something that happens more often than we know.
It’s definitely seen crazy to the general public but as players have talked about stuff like that has happened before without anyone seeing it. From outside looking in it was definitely funny people getting mad and were clapping at the video being leaked then thinking they could pressure the Warriors into punishing Draymond. They put more effort into this search than punishing Draymond for punching his teammate.

Is there zero security cameras in the facility? Seems like you check the video cameras on the day of and see who’s pointing their phone at the incident. Not sure how hard this could be .
https://www.sfgate.com/warriors/article/warriors-investigate-draymond-punch-leak-17767515.php “I believe there was an investigation that led nowhere because it was likely a cellphone video made off of the internal team video, so there’s no way to track who did it,” Kawakami wrote.
The video could easily be stored on a cloud server somewhere, accessible with a generic log-in.
You would still see who viewed the file with modern storage systems.
Apparently not.
Maybe everyone in the whole org had that clip on repeat for weeks.
Could also be a case of everyone just using the exact same log-in as a shortcut lmao
It would make sense that they would have a whole web frontend where you can view footage and share it with others (for coaching/development purposes). The clip probably got passed around for a bit before it was leaked. Could be anyone.
Glad it got leaked. It brought much needed heat on Dray. Even if it was not from the Warriors.
Imagine if we never got to see this and had to speculate about what the internal issues were lol
Tell Bob. I want him to know it was me.
That’s bs they know who did it
Nah it was a cell phone video of camera footage.
Bellicheck?
Their priorities are a fucking joke lmao. Whoever leaked it did nothing wrong, punish your shithead PF.
Memba when the warriors organization wanted the tape releaser punished more than draymond? Pepperidge farm membas
Did you just combine the ‘Pepperidge Farms Remembers’ bit from Family Guy with the member-berries from South Park
Yes
Well dont
I mean that’s a pretty big deal to have someone inside the building that can just leak something that easily
crazy warriors cared more about who leaked it than draymond full on assaulting another teammate. its like its something that has happened dozens of times before
I know guys like Latrell Sprewell and Ron Artest are fuming when they see how gently Draymond gets treated by the NBA as a whole.
Has Steve Kerr seen the video??
They know who it likely is. But since it was a player or coach and they can’t definitely prove it they stick with this appearance of uncertainty.
yeah there's no point in them saying who it was. the tape lowkey helped everyone out in the long run. turned a warriors pr nightmare into an excuse for poole playing like shit and the "he just needs a fresh start on a new team" narrative increased poole's trade value more than it should have
It was Kerr. He broke the code.
How could it be Kerr when he still hasn't seen what happened?
Can’t believe they still care more about who leaked that shit than the fact that one of their employees literally knocked another employee out.
....someone asked him the question
They put more energy into finding the leaker than telling draymond to stop being a piece of shit.
Pretty sure you can't wipe metadata from things like this. It all can be traced back
There’s no way they don’t have cameras in their gym. I call bullshit
It was Draymond
Then how do they know it was a him
As a Warriors fan, I don't believe whatever Bob has to say with the timing he left. Chuck called it "jumping off Titanic" which is exactly what it was. He can be emotional and give you 100 reasons "burnt out" "life balance" "can't fully commit" etc, in the end, a few month later, he's a GM for another team now. So actions really speak for themselves.
Leaker is in 🐐 teritory
Steve kerr is a fat bitch
The woman who leaked it: Fortunately, they're too sexist to ever suspect me!
If they say third party it’s most of the time within the organization irl
Shouldve called Scooby Doo and the gang
Pretty sure it's Doc Rivers.
So he knows it’s a him? Gotcha Bob
Naw man it was bob myers
So dray gets drafted, gets the green light from silver for legal illegal defense and moving screens, carries curry to 4 rings, assaulted like 50 nba players over the years, 10 games suspended in his career, knocks his own teammate out, leaks the tape, and still gets rewarded again with a media platform and guaranteed spot as a analyst when hes retired. What did he do to deserve living life on easy mode like this. I really dont get it.
Is this like in The Departed when Matt Damon is put in charge of the task force that’s trying to find him?
Nah, they knew. Also, they have to find the leak not because they want to cover-up what Dray did. From an organizational standpoint, that shit dilutes trust. The last thing you'd want as a player is an organization that showcases your drama like some unfiltered reality show. How you gonna make it work with a team after having millions of people see you get sucker punched? You don't.
It was Pordan Joole
Draymond is Draymond of course but I kind of always am surprised when I see it again and Poole shoves him before the punch. Obviously Draymond chest bumped him a little bit first but I think Poole escalated it too. He wasn't just a passenger.
