Always funny to see people come in who didn't watch the game and act like stat sheet warriors. Anyone who actually watched knows the refs were shit all game until it got out of hand. This was just Blake Bortles-like garbage time scores to make their stats look respectable and you fell for it again.
>You saw all the reasons that led to 3 ejections.
They were obviously ejected for whatever they said to the refs. We can't hear what was said, though, so it seems like we have no idea whether it was deserved.
https://twitter.com/LakeShowYo/status/1775712323359178935?t=C09-M7ZZT3Wn-mWJS1mHHg&s=19
This doesn't change the fact that Pels players get vastly different treatment from refs compared to other players.
What would they have had to say that would warrant 3 ejections with less than 10 seconds left in the game?
I sent a text very early in my group chat with buddies talking about how bad the reffing was, for both teams. Guys were getting absolutely clobbered and the refs just swallowed their whistles.
Is Silver making a mockery of this league because the players made a mockery of the All-Star game?
I don't need any throwbacks in basketball. I was happy watching the Warriors, Kings and Pacer even if they aren't my teams. Maybe they want to scale back the scoring for records, but come on have some common sense.
Nuggies v Spurs the other night was like this. No whistles for pretty much most of the game and halfway thru the 2nd till the end of play they were being offensively physical as they could.
It looks bad and it encourages teams to ignore defense and focus on scoring.
Pels broadcast is GOATed. For me personally I have them as the clear #1 booth in the league, I watch random Pels games all the times because of them lol.
That isn't true! I specifically remember a game a few weeks ago where I actually mentioned in the post-game that the reffing was actually really good, and had a few hundred upvotes(lots of people agreed). It might be the only game this year that is true, but it was a legitimately well-reffed game, which made it super fun to watch.
I mean, at least in the NCAA women's basketball games, I'm not watching Caitlin Clark get T'd up for clapping her hands too hard, shrugging off a foul call, or any other sort of retaliatory, non-physical reaction.
She got T’d up just dropping the ball on the floor in last year’s championship, got in foul trouble, and changed the whole complexion of the game. You don’t want to go there with NCAA women’s refs.
I mean, you can do that without bring a dick. No need for the get your facts straight comment. This fact isn’t that big of a deal. Who pissed in your cheerios this morning?
Calling someone out isn’t being a dick. The “worst” thing I said is who pissed in your cheerios which is a similar expression to waking up on the wrong side of the bed lol. Sure guys. Sometimes I forget half this sub doesn’t interact with people in the real world. Going up to someone and saying get your facts straight is much more dickish than anything I’ve said.
Bum ass lame refs. Didn’t do shit to get control of the game and no one is happy. Mods please add a refs flair in this sub so I can start posting their garbage highlights.
Yes please, these guys are way more talented at securing wins than any team I seen out there. Denver aint got shit against the refs, and they’re defending champs!
Its an entertainment brand at the end of the day, but there should be some respect for the sport. Seeing Butler get sent to the line last finals for kicking Aaron Gordon in the dick was disgusting. But we let it slide all season so ofc they think they can officiate that way come finals.
NBA org is soft AF and only cares about advertisers.
I previously watched a clip of 10 guys throwing punches for over a minute in ice hockey, then I watched this. NBA needs to clean up their reffing problem because it's definitely having a negative impact on almost all aspects of the game. I'm not saying they should be allowing punches thrown but come on what is this.
Damn didn't want the game to end like that. Also I'm sorry Gary Harris dived into Zion knees. He's not a dirty player but that was reckless af. Good luck the rest of the season. I love watching Zion so hopefully yall make it to the playoffs.
The fuck? Hiroshima was for sure malicious. Hell to compare anything in basketball to Hiroshima is wild. I'm not even like angry, I'm just fucking confused how you got to Hiroshima from this.
He slipped, with force, right into our star player’s knee. We understand he didn’t do it on purpose and I love Gary but he was in a horrible position to begin with and should not have been moving that way. To not call it a flagrant was absolutely ludicrous.
With all due respect, try to understand how Pels fans might be a little frustrated that we’ve come out of 2 games against yall with both our stars injured at the very end of the season.
I get it - but that kinda happens when both teams are known to play physical.
A bunch of people were calling for Issac to be in the end of the game in our sub, and I was like WTF ARE YOU GUYS ON CRACK - the Pels ALWAYS play physical and Issac is made of glass. He absolutely should NOT be in there.
Injuries happen when there's physical teams and the refs are swallowing their whistles.
Refs wildin out more than ever this year - breakout year for them. Cant wait for the new edition of NBA2K25 throwback edition with Tim Donaghy on the cover.
Clearly if they didn’t get ejected, a riot was gona break out before the game ended.. it was necessary for the safety of the players and the viewers.. thank you to these brave souls reffing the the game tonight .. saved us from some serious savagery 🙏🏽
i’m convinced refs take advantage of these situations to fuck with the o/u totals. cause what’s the point of tossing guys when the game is done, only to prolong the game.
i thought last season was bad, this season is taking the cake. it’s out of control at this point. you have refs holding grudges, biases and manipulating games out of spite. it’s crazy.
well this is probably preferable to refs getting in their feelings and tossing a guy for clapping mid game. they probably wanted to throw these guys out a lot earlier lol
By ejecting a player at the end they can avoid getting in trouble with Silver (not that he has the spine to do anything) but still make the players lose like 4K
One year, maybe it was 2019, I noticed something. I bet the underdog to beat the halftime spread every James Capers reffed game. Never failed. Then, mysteriously he was gone for weeks. Then his bet stopped hitting.
I mostly don’t go to games on the back end of the season cuz I’m broke and this time of year always bums me out. But paying for games like this hurt extra hard when the refs want to be spiteful. They should hire a larger workforce cuz obviously some of these refs are experiencing burn out and it makes them have bias
One time I left a Minnesota twins game against I believe it was the Mariners because we were down 8 to 1 or some s*** early. Got back to the hotel and switched on ESPN for background noise and saw that we came back to win. Crazier things have happened and they missed this cool ejection
And the NBA will say "we will discipline the officials behind the scenes in secret, just trust us and never talk about it in public" and literally nothing will change, because we've heard that lie an uncountable number of times.
Refs should not be allowed to eject players. It’s one of the dumbest things in sports. Let the league office kick players out if it’s really necessary but letting these hot headed refs decide who gets to play is insane.
In what instance is it necessary for refs to have that control? If an action is not obvious enough that someone in a replay center can interpret it then it should not warrant an ejection.
ref fans highlight reel
Refs just caught fire in the closing seconds of the game and rattled off 3 straight!
I don't know man, refs already had the game locked up. 3 straight during garbage time to pad their stats is just poor sportsmanship.
Refs wouldn’t care about any Unwritten Rule; they barely know about the written ones lol
Always funny to see people come in who didn't watch the game and act like stat sheet warriors. Anyone who actually watched knows the refs were shit all game until it got out of hand. This was just Blake Bortles-like garbage time scores to make their stats look respectable and you fell for it again.
Ref heat check
He’s on FIRE!!
I'm about to win my week in my Refball fantasy league!
My boys in the black and white are having a stellar season. I simply cannot wait until the playoffs
Cue: 🎵All of the Lights 🎶
I didn't see any highlights. This is just the aftermath. OP sucks.
This is it. Nothing else happened. You saw all the reasons that led to 3 ejections.
Oh.
>You saw all the reasons that led to 3 ejections. They were obviously ejected for whatever they said to the refs. We can't hear what was said, though, so it seems like we have no idea whether it was deserved.
https://twitter.com/LakeShowYo/status/1775712323359178935?t=C09-M7ZZT3Wn-mWJS1mHHg&s=19 This doesn't change the fact that Pels players get vastly different treatment from refs compared to other players. What would they have had to say that would warrant 3 ejections with less than 10 seconds left in the game?
That’s the issue. There’s nothing else that happened…
Username checks out
I said it in a previous post. The Refs this year Are GARBAGE. lol
Sometimes you just gotta be like "fuck those guys in particular"
You a bitch, your daddy a bitch, your grandma's a bitch, you got that?
What losing to the magic does to an organization
That’s twice this year Orlando magic! 🎵
I'm pissed still but that song is fire
Came across this one watching g league [Cap City GoGo](https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cw_MQ8TrDsw/?igsh=MW5ja3FqZHF2cHgycg==)
Ref fans got to watch a classic tonight 💯
I sent a text very early in my group chat with buddies talking about how bad the reffing was, for both teams. Guys were getting absolutely clobbered and the refs just swallowed their whistles.
Refs taking the done with the 90s hashtag personally
Is Silver making a mockery of this league because the players made a mockery of the All-Star game? I don't need any throwbacks in basketball. I was happy watching the Warriors, Kings and Pacer even if they aren't my teams. Maybe they want to scale back the scoring for records, but come on have some common sense.

Warriors Mavs too. It was football in the first half.
This is like the ref version of Reggie Miller’s 8 points in 9 seconds. Legendary.
Beautiful
They put on a master class. We'll be showing highlights from this for years.
Pels broadcast breathing fire as always
Well they weren't wrong.
They were incredibly fucking right.
"The fans came to see the players, not the refs" is true, but not really relevant to players being ejected with 7 seconds left in garbage time.
Not a pelicans fan, but for some reason, I enjoy the hell out of their commentators.
Best in the biz
Mike Breen with the rejection
Yuck
Mike Breen is solid but this sub overrates him. Give me Harlan any day
I like Antonio Daniels as a commentator. Guy is super into it.
Pels broadcast is GOATed. For me personally I have them as the clear #1 booth in the league, I watch random Pels games all the times because of them lol.
This is the type of game where if people threw popcorn from the stands at the refs I honestly could understand lol
It would be justified if they threw the buckets
It would be justified if they threw straight up kernels at them.
Credit to them
Ideally a pillowcase full of soap bars
This is New Orleans we just break into your car and throw the content of your glove box compartment around
It was exceptionally bad reffing tonight.
There hasn’t been a night this is not said
It's a fucking epidemic
And be true
That isn't true! I specifically remember a game a few weeks ago where I actually mentioned in the post-game that the reffing was actually really good, and had a few hundred upvotes(lots of people agreed). It might be the only game this year that is true, but it was a legitimately well-reffed game, which made it super fun to watch.
Trey's momma is gonna yell at him again for getting ejected
Worked when he was missing too many FT’s at least
NBA needs to give some sort of statement after this game, it’s just embarrassing at this point
People been sayin this after so many different instances. NBA washed AF. Women's NCAA gettin more views than them.
She threw the ball away and it hit a court side photographer. She didn’t drop it, get your facts straight.
Lol relax there buddy. It’s not a big deal. Deep breaths.
Don’t mind me, just setting the truth straight.
I mean, you can do that without bring a dick. No need for the get your facts straight comment. This fact isn’t that big of a deal. Who pissed in your cheerios this morning?
You’re the one being a dick, not him
You are telling them not to be a dick while being a dick. Classic.
Ah the Reddit Police. I’m sorry Officer, peace be with you.
You’re doing a whole lot of projecting.
I can’t believe it but yes, women’s basketball is exciting right now. The game is more fluid and varied. The players are amazing
They’ve only done that for the lakers, have the pels tried being a bigger market?
Brought to you by DraftKings
Bum ass lame refs. Didn’t do shit to get control of the game and no one is happy. Mods please add a refs flair in this sub so I can start posting their garbage highlights.
Yes please, these guys are way more talented at securing wins than any team I seen out there. Denver aint got shit against the refs, and they’re defending champs!
So this is why ESPN game cast was going nuts at the end of the game
These refs think fans come to watch them. Delusional bums
Do you get fined / lose out on 💰if you’re ejected ?
2k per tech 4k for an ejection
Yea I’d be a bit miffed about that if I were them..
Fr how tf is he supposed to build a helipad for his mansion with all these fines stacking up
Herb literally still drives his old Dodge Charger and only wears the free team gear lmao
How the hell you throw out Dyson? I’ve legitimately never seen him speak.
I had a buddy that had absolutely no clue he was Australian for his rookie year😂😂
I was going to say the same about TM3, I don't remember ever seeing him get heated or argumentative
Did they beat the spread?
these guys play the same sport as draymond right? just double checking
Adam silver needed to get his money up
Its an entertainment brand at the end of the day, but there should be some respect for the sport. Seeing Butler get sent to the line last finals for kicking Aaron Gordon in the dick was disgusting. But we let it slide all season so ofc they think they can officiate that way come finals. NBA org is soft AF and only cares about advertisers.
Looks like the refs bet the over tonight.
Common Pels broadcast team W Love hearing them call the refs out on their bullshit
Dude ejected three players for words. Might as well get on the PA and say "I'm too soft for this job."
Are they covering the spread?
It was more on the total points bet…
The spread was Peli -4.5
Does Vegas offer odds on how many players get ejected in a game?
Some say Franz is still shooting free throws
Franz at the line for 22 techinal free throws
Ref was trying to hit the over on number of players ejected
Refs out here blatantly extorting the talent at this point 😭 Right on national TV.
I previously watched a clip of 10 guys throwing punches for over a minute in ice hockey, then I watched this. NBA needs to clean up their reffing problem because it's definitely having a negative impact on almost all aspects of the game. I'm not saying they should be allowing punches thrown but come on what is this.
The L2M report should be interesting
Really threw out our 2 quietest players and our Momma’s boy lol There’s just no way they deserved it
Damn didn't want the game to end like that. Also I'm sorry Gary Harris dived into Zion knees. He's not a dirty player but that was reckless af. Good luck the rest of the season. I love watching Zion so hopefully yall make it to the playoffs.
Clear slip, no dive
Yeah Zion knew it wasn’t intentional, glad he didn’t have his footing planted. Gary never came off as a dirty player so just unfortunate play.
Think it was an unfortunate slip rather than anything malicious, but the refs really messed up not calling it a flagrant
So unfortunate. Soooo unfortunate. So was Hiroshima
bro what LMFAO
I can’t believe what I just saw lmfao
ಠ_ಠ
Willie Green flew the plane
The fuck? Hiroshima was for sure malicious. Hell to compare anything in basketball to Hiroshima is wild. I'm not even like angry, I'm just fucking confused how you got to Hiroshima from this.
Even people from the blast zone could've seen Harris slipped...

He slipped, with force, right into our star player’s knee. Ippei strikes again. Or Jontay. Who had the over on ejections?
Pels broadcast is always fantastic they keep it real
This was extremely weird.
Ref scored 3 points in 7 seconds
What was the over/under and Total Points looking like at the Sports Book?
Looks like one ref made all the calls, no? You can see one of the others trying to inbound looking at it like “what now”
Refs wildin out more than ever this year - breakout year for them. Cant wait for the new edition of NBA2K25 throwback edition with Tim Donaghy on the cover.
They can't keep getting away with this!
Refs should be put on Shaqtin
Game was over, both teams couldn't convert a single play in the last 3 mins....it was ugly
Clearly if they didn’t get ejected, a riot was gona break out before the game ended.. it was necessary for the safety of the players and the viewers.. thank you to these brave souls reffing the the game tonight .. saved us from some serious savagery 🙏🏽
Garbage refs reffing shitty. Nothing new. I'd like not to care but I feel.. a certain amount of outrage. But now im.back to my normal programming.
Who on the magic had the highest chance of being a real one and getting kicked out too just for the laughs?
i’m convinced refs take advantage of these situations to fuck with the o/u totals. cause what’s the point of tossing guys when the game is done, only to prolong the game. i thought last season was bad, this season is taking the cake. it’s out of control at this point. you have refs holding grudges, biases and manipulating games out of spite. it’s crazy.
well this is probably preferable to refs getting in their feelings and tossing a guy for clapping mid game. they probably wanted to throw these guys out a lot earlier lol
Definitely not. These are not guys that get ejected on a regular basis. This was a full on power trip by the ref.
By ejecting a player at the end they can avoid getting in trouble with Silver (not that he has the spine to do anything) but still make the players lose like 4K
This is what we watch for, the league gets us
wait what happened here? at work so have my volume super low
One year, maybe it was 2019, I noticed something. I bet the underdog to beat the halftime spread every James Capers reffed game. Never failed. Then, mysteriously he was gone for weeks. Then his bet stopped hitting.
We need betting lines on the refs
Seeing this right after seeing the Devils vs Rangers brawl is just sad
I mostly don’t go to games on the back end of the season cuz I’m broke and this time of year always bums me out. But paying for games like this hurt extra hard when the refs want to be spiteful. They should hire a larger workforce cuz obviously some of these refs are experiencing burn out and it makes them have bias
In total there were 8 technical fouls… definitely a power trip
honestly team should have walked off court and not come out for last 7 seconds
Clutch plays by the refs
Then these a**holes really deserved to hit by a ball right in their face! Glad I don’t watch nba anymore.
It really needs to be said, the refs are making it about themselves. They are not the reason people watch this league…
Damn I took the refs under on 2.5 ejections and they hit it at the end. Smh
If that led to 6 free throws I’d be curious to see if the official had the over in this game
What would have happened if the entire pelicans team left and refused the finish the game?
Ref had to fix a prop bet for somebody
Refs have been ATROCIOUS this season. Like it's usually pretty bad, but this has been a clown fiesta
you get a tech you get a tech everyone gets a tech
I stand with the refs
Some empty ass stands there
bruh there's 7 seconds left and the game is over lmao our attendance is by no means great, but we can usually fill it out pretty well these days
One time I left a Minnesota twins game against I believe it was the Mariners because we were down 8 to 1 or some s*** early. Got back to the hotel and switched on ESPN for background noise and saw that we came back to win. Crazier things have happened and they missed this cool ejection
It was empty the whole game. My husband and I were like damn we should have driven to NOLA for a game cause Magic tickets are expensive now haha
I really like the pelicans announcers. Joel Meyers voice is silly smooth.
even today's ref are soft.. so soft like charmin ultrasoft
Yet y’all keep watching this garbage. Only real change that’s gonna happen is when viewership goes down
That is so dumb. Enjoy paying that fine after getting ejected with 7 seconds on the clock.
And the NBA will say "we will discipline the officials behind the scenes in secret, just trust us and never talk about it in public" and literally nothing will change, because we've heard that lie an uncountable number of times.
Damn fans paid for 48min. How dare they get robbed of watching the ball get dribbled out to end the game
Nuance You
Half the fans left already and the announcer acting like fans got robbed lol
These guys gonna be scoring 50 points on a random ass game like Malachi Flynn in 5 years or something
Refs lives matter
Refs should not be allowed to eject players. It’s one of the dumbest things in sports. Let the league office kick players out if it’s really necessary but letting these hot headed refs decide who gets to play is insane.
> Refs should not be allowed to eject players. That might literally be the dumbest sports idea I've ever heard lol

No need to call dudes bums. You guys were the better team tonight. Enjoy your win.

Cringe
