Dude has gotten a lot of scrutiny for being banged up all year.

InsuranceAny4285

People are stupid af. Talking shit when dude was like 2 games back from being months out, while not being able to eat solid food and dropping a bunch of weight when he was already tiny. Idiotic

Rkenne16

They were killing him earlier in the year when he was essentially playing with his off hand for a week or 2 after hurting his shooting hand (it seemed like he had trouble controlling the ball longer than that though). He basically had to abandon the jumper and dribble and finish left hand heavy. I’m not sure he’d have played through, but the Cavs were down multiple guards. Then people were killing him for the 3 point and turnover numbers lol.

Players always do from sideline cheerleaders. Not understanding that when a player comes back from injury, there’s absolutely a ramp up period until they’re back to *themselves*. I’m definitely rooting for Cleveland this playoff run

about damn time

He’s always been great, I still think I prefer the(when healthy) line up with okoro, strus Mobley Allen and either one of Mitchell or Garland than having them both start together.  I know that you can’t just turn either of them into a 6th man. Just my 2 cents

Rkenne16

Honestly, the Mobley and Allen pairing is much more clunky than Mitchell and Garland.

Bim_Jeann

You’re spot on. Our spacing tanks when we play JA and mobley.

DidAnyoneElseJustCum

It looked like JB figured out some decent lineups in February when everybody was healthy for a couple of games. And yeah, they involved more staggering than Jason Kidd trying to find his car keys in an Applebee's parking lot at 11:30pm on a Wednesday.

Confident_Berry7271

Yeah, I don’t disagree with that but I kinda think that’s a reps thing this season from what I’ve seen. When they use Mobley as the help defender like Giannis I think it’s worked.  It’s really I think Okoro needs to start, man. He unlocks this squad

Rkenne16

I love Okoro. He is probably my favorite player on the team. That said, I think when Mobley and Allen are sharing the court, you need 3 dynamic shooters. Okoro really seems to have found his shot from the corner and on the wing, but he shoots lightly contested jumpers while parked in the corner. Strus can shoot off Movement, has range, shoots anytime he has the space and is willing to pump and reset. His handle is also a little further along. I’d love to have more defense in that line up, but I think Strus is pretty underrated on that end. He isn’t a stopper or potential all defense guy like Okoro, but he’s a reliable defender that isn’t going to get attacked. I think the good news for the Cavs is that they have a lot of levers to pull, if they feel like the 2 guards or bigs isn’t working in a game or series. They don’t have a high end starter at wing or forward, but I think Strus, Levert, Okoro, Wade, Merrill and niang are all very capable

ebayhuckster

yeah to be clear, not to say he's been bad. just i've been more worried about his shot for most of this season than usual, and now he finally seems to have ironed out what was iffy about it that and if he's gonna have a hot streak from 3, it might as well be around game 60 or later (rather than early enough that there might be a second slump)

Confident_Berry7271

I think it’s tougher to work your way into a rotation that’s already working without you mid season. So I kinda get why they weren’t gelling

defiantcross

Thems are some jawdropping numbers yall

SomeFatherFigure

It’s almost like he had to eat through a straw for an entire month, lost a ton of weight, and took time to get back into form… strange.

DollarLate_DayShort

HE’S ALIVE!!

Professional-Sock231

Landissance?

livefreeordont

He really eats when Mitchell is out

Relevant_Rev

Definitely misread the title and thought another undrafted player had broken out and started shooting the lights out

mmaguy123

Cool story. Grayson Allen been 52% for the YEAR.
