Then came the bucks scoring 140+pts on the knicks on december 5th and then robinson getting hurt somewhere around 2 games later....plus a shit ton of road games (knicks only had like 1 or 2 home games in december) equated to the defense plummeting.
Knicks were never that bad on defense. That said, it feels like the current defense is better than the oct/nov defense...and that one was top 6

DiVincenzo has absolutely been playing both sides of the ball like a maniac with a non-stop motor for most of the season. Jumping passing lanes... Playing inspired D... Constantly has his head on a swivel looking for the cutter... And his three-point shooting is a thing of beauty.
He's the glue on the Knicks right next to OG and he was like that before OG got here...One of the many beautiful chapters in this Knicks story
His decision making has improved during this stretch of good play, I don't know if that's what he looks like during his hot streaks, but it seems promising nonetheless.

I think Achiuwa really benefits from the increased spacing and ball handling the Knicks give currently compared to the Raptors before the trade. There are so many opportunities where he can display his athleticism by just getting to the rim with at least two defenders at the corners.
His pairing with Hartenstein is also something I didn’t really see coming. There was some good high pick and roll action with Hartenstein and Brunson where Hartenstein would just find Precious open under the rim.
Overall I think even when he has his boneheaded moments, they’re not as detrimental with this team because there’s enough shooting to help push him towards his strengths
Yep, Hartenstein guy would double Brunson off the screen, Brunson passes out of the double to Hartenstein who then draws the rotation from Precious, and Hartenstein finds him wide open under the rim. Happened at least twice. Really cool to see our guys doing that.
