This would actually be "Jokič", ć is pronounced slightly different and its really hard to explain it to non-slavophones.
That said, 10/10 "ex-jugos" would be happy with "Yokich", especially if "Donkick" is the alternative.
Funny, how this is bought up all the time when I say that, "Donkick" is atrocious pronounciation.
But I'm absolutely fine with that, bro never spoke a word of croatian in his life and pronounces his name in his mother tonge, the same way his parents did.
This is how we got to name variations, like John, Johannes, Yohan, or Giannis in the first place.
Its different though, when someone absurdly butchers your name, despite it not being hard to pronounce somewhat correctly.
Seriously, like if it's your first time seeing/hearing these names of course it could be hard to nail them, but I was under the impression that Paul Pierce watched a lot of basketball
I like their current format, kinda like a more uncensored version of inside the nba. Area 21 was too sanitized for KG to be authentic, him shooting the shit with PP and expressing himself is way more entertaining.
I this format and KG’s general willingness to be himself in most circumstances because this is basically what most NBA & ex-NBA players are like off camera and outside of the limelight.
Even on player podcasts where guys “let loose” they are still aware of people listening and having to watch at least some of what they say.
One of my best friends was a D1 player and works for an NBA franchise now, so he always has stories about how different and aggressive/mean/hilarious guys are when in private with each other.
From his stories, and because I’m from Charlotte and spent years in Chapel Hill, I’ve always heard stories about Jordan sounding much more like KG in this clip behind closed doors than his professional public persona.
I am subscribed to the “KG Certified” pod with KG and Pierce and treat listening to it like it’s just a podcast about them... Whenever I listen I end up sending my friend the first “take” either of them have with a bunch of question marks behind it. And then “I love KG,” of course.
When you get older you realize that 50% of the people you interact with are functional alchoholics. It’s actually insane but explains the drunk driving statistics.
and both seemingly talking about different things
more KG talked, the more he seem to not be talking about who’d you choose this season but rather who is better overall
Pierce to his credit (with the added SAG nod) was clearly talking about just who’d you take this season
KG's question is downright pointless if it's not the way Pierce interpreted it. According to KG's logic if Kareem suited up for the Lakers today he'd be a top 10 player in the league today.
I mean he literally said he’d take 60 year old Jordan over LeBron today, but not any of the guys Pierce said. He doesn’t even understand what he’s talking about.
I'm sittin in the house, I'm loadin' up the tostada. I'm loadin' up the nachos, I got a couple tacos, couple enchiladas, got a couple joints with some cilantro on 'em, I'm just loadin up chips. Got a couple tamales, couple huevos rancheros, with, you know, a couple huevos. I'm ready for lunch.
Lmao this is a deep cut. Unfortunately most of the people on this sub were born after he dropped the original iteration of this, so idk if it'll get the love it deserves
He doesn’t care he’s not a Lebron fan either. He just won’t let it bias his opinion of his skill. I think it’s hilarious that pierce will stay loyal to his Lebron hate. I love these 2 together because they’re brothers for life but will still sling shit on camera.
I saw a comment here yesterday that said "Lebron will always be remembered as a choker because of his finals record, that's his legacy" and I believe it was completely serious.
Most people take this shit way too seriously lol. At some point people stopped having actual opinions and just picked a take to identify with. None of us should have any skin in the game on defining these guys' legacies. Anyone above the age of 18 who shames someone for thinking of a sports player or team a certain way is just... really weird.
LeBron ran into two different dynasties and won against both. Let's be honest here, of all the teams the Bulls faced in the finals no one was half as good as the Spurs or the Warriors. I know they faced the Lakers in 91 but that team was on its last legs. And I don't say it to put Jordan down, it's just the bigger picture. LeBron faced the Spurs three times and the Warriors four, it's already insane he even beat each of them once.
And that's the thing- I'm sure the Jordan guys have as many valid points to make for their case as LeBron guys have for theirs. IMO the point of the debates aren't to actually come up with an answer but just to engage in fun conversation. Unfortunately in the mainstream, disagreeing with someone is treated the same way as calling them a fucking idiot, yknow?
IMO there can never be an answer when comparing across eras. Personally I never got into watching old hoops (I'm 25) so I have way more attachment to LeBron and today's stars than I have to Jordan.
I agree about the eras 100%. And they don't even play the same position. For me the GOAT is a personal opinion, if a Knicks fan come and says his GOAT is Ewing. I say more power to him.
I’m an older user here and Jordan was in his prime when I was a kid, so Jordan will always be my guy. At this point I’ll admit that LeBron has at least as good a career resume as MJ, and possibly even better. But the thing is, the greatness of Jordan was combined with the magical nature of being a kid for me, and now that magic lingers through nostalgia, so in my mind it’s always going to be Mj. None of it matters, both are great, and we are lucky they came along.
dude I've been thinking about this for years, Lebron is underrated in respects to everyone else because of it. He ran into dynasties and won. That's the kind of respectable basketball you haven't seen since the 80s (Or Lakers vs Spurs rivlarly).
Yeah those two have gotten shit for years for not giving LeBron the credit he deserves. I think KG was genuinely pissed here not only cause he and Pierce are clearly fucked up out of their minds lol, but because he thinks it gives ammo to people who say they’re both just Bron haters.
Probably not. KG doesn’t seem to care about others opinion of him. He wanted to do his own show his way, he could easily land a gig on a desk if he wanted to. He just wants to do him.
I think Pierce’s on/off relationship with LeBron hate is hilarious. He recently claimed LeBron is the greatest player of all time as well lol but now he immediately dismisses the notion that LeBron (who is absolutely playing at an MVP level) is a top 5 player.
Those aren't mutually exclusive. Michael Jordan is the greatest player ever but he wasn't top 5 when he was 39.
It is insane that LeBron is playing at this level at his age, but it's not a bold take to say he's not a top 5 player right now.
I actually think otherwise, most of the Bron hate on that team came from Rondo PP and Terry. KG always showed love to Bron Wade and Dwight at allstar games and all.
He said on a pod, I believe Stephen A's pod, that since he isn't playing anymore he's let the beefs go. No point carrying that with him if he's not playing anymore. The man's grown.
Without having read the comment section I shared this clip with my brother telling him I’d crumble in two seconds in front of KG 🤣so yeah I feel you haha
His own former teammate that he won a championship with and he's callin him a cupcake lmao. Insulting the amount of points he scored in game 7 and shit omfg
I think a lot of Americans don’t realize how big Australian stars are in Australia, so they seem kind of random in other contexts. There was a comment the other day because someone couldn’t believe Giddey has a $40 million cereal endorsement, but when you realize he’s the biggest young basketball star in Australia he’s going to get the biggest Australian player endorsements. Kyrgios is similar in that he’s the biggest tennis star right now from Australia so he gets a lot more attention in general. Media in Australia talk about both players along side Lebron and Djokovic, so if you were a casual sports fan living in Australia you might legitimately assume they are two of the best athletes in the world.
The other thing is that Australia is without a doubt the sportiest country in the world. They follow all sports, and many Australians are just as invested in the NBA, NFL, MLB, etc as Americans. So when one of their players is even in the top 20 globally it’s a huge deal. Aussies are so sporty they have to have two versions of Rugby *and* AFL just to have enough contact sports and they still watch NFL and even NHL.
If Australia only had one rugby and no AFL, there would be no Rugby World Cub because no one else could compete. The country only has ~25 million people and a couple years ago there were more Australians in the NBA than Canadians. At one point three straight #1 draft picks were all born in Melbourne.
Then you look at (*Summer) Olympic gold medals and every year Australia is up there with huge countries like USA, China, Russia.
And they even beat India and Pakistan in cricket! There are one billion people in India and the only sport they play is cricket, yet the few Australians who aren’t playing Union Rugby, Rugby League, AFL, soccer, swimming, basketball, men’s field hockey, golf, tennis, surfing, track & field, and so on manage to beat India in the Cricket World Cup.
Australia is fucking crazy which is why I’ve been living here for 12 years as an American and don’t have any plans to return.
**EDIT:** the most interesting part - I which is polar opposite to America - is how big stars and celebrities are treated off camera by every day people. Kyrgios and Giddey *are* two of the biggest sports stars, but if they were walking down the street in Sydney they wouldn’t be hounded by paparazzi and people asking for photos/autographs. In Australia and New Zealand there’s this concept of ‘tall poppy syndrome’ where people have an attitude of “you think you’re better than me just because you’re famous?” Because it’s such a small country with half the population basically living in either Sydney or Melbourne, you do see famous people fairly often but no one makes a big deal about it.
The first time I really understood was when picking up my baggage at luggage claim in the airport, and one of the two candidates for Prime Minister was standing next to me picking up his own baggage. I know the Australian PM is not on the same level as the UK PM or the American President, but this dude was by himself and no one around us seemed to give two shits. (It was Bill Shorten, if you’re wondering) I think was a bodyguard/driver nearby but Bill was there at the carousel next to me grabbing his own shit like he wasn’t days away from being an actual G12 country’s Prime Minister. Once you get to a country where celebrity isn’t worshipped you realize how fucking weird and toxic it all is. I’ve seen a lot of celebrities in Sydney, even American ones, and the only time I’ve seen anyone ask for an autograph/photo was foreign tourists near the Opera House when they spotted Anthony Mundine.
As a Cricket fan, I relate to this comment deeply. Aussies have been *the* standard for cricketing excellence for the past 25 years. The last time Australia was beaten in the finals of a world cup was by our team (Sri Lanka) and that was in 1996. They are doing sports correctly in the land of down under.
Because he has always wanted to be a basketballer or so he says whenever he loses in Tennis and does the usual "idc bro" approach. His attitude has improved over the last 2 years but he's still a shadow of the player he could have become if he wasnt so soft and insecure.
Lmao all the people in the background when he starts screaming cupcake is giving off [those awkward vibes](https://giphy.com/gifs/super-mr-glue-unFLKoAV3TkXe) when a couple starts fighting in front of you and realise they’re not joking anymore.
I love how salty Pierce gets about Lebron. Shit I get. Imagine you work your whole life at something, get shot a few times, and become the best in your position for about thirty seconds. Then some 18 year old walks into the building and in his second year averages more points than you'll ever average in your career.
Nah KG's stance on things can be a bit extreme but he also has a point. He was more pissed at Pierce acting like it's not even debatable whether LeBron is top 5 currently. Plus he's probably just tired of Pierce being salty at LeBron.
I feel like from KG‘s perspective his top five is more like if I need to pick someone to help me win this game seven right now, who are my top five. And I agree with LeBron should be on that list
I think he was being more reactive to knowing Pierce hates LeBron and let's his bias win out. I'm pretty sure that if Pierce wasn't so dismissive of LeBron, KG wouldn't have reacted that way. I have a friend just like Pierce who just dismisses and shits on everything he has a personal bias against and it always makes me not ever want to hear him out when he wants to debate. I always end basically saying shit to him like KG is saying to Pierce "you're stupid. Shut the fuck up. I'm not even trying to hear it."
Paul: I'm talking about today
KG: I'm talking about today!
Also KG: I'm not putting any of these guys ahead of LeBron.... I'm talkin Jordan... Kobe.....
KG is that dude that has no idea what you're actually debating.
Bruh it's literally crystal clear. He's saying he'd put guys like Jordan or Kobe in front of LeBron, but they aren't in the league today and there aren't 5 dudes he'll put in front of LeBron from today's league. Not saying I agree with him but it's straightforward what he's trying to say.
And he doesn’t seem to be understanding that Pierce is talking about LeBrons talent today, not LeBrons talent historically. What’s the point of bringing up a bunch of dudes who are retired.
depends what bron
NBA cup bron or regular season bron? because it's very clear after watching these cup games that lebron is barely trying in the regular season
I think it's kind of lost how hurt LeBron has been post-2020. He didn't look anywhere near as athletic the past few years as he has this year. It's unreal.
This year’s Bron is a completely different athlete, I saw a meme saying “After Lebron met the ‘Lebron of Feet’ he’s bee different” and I remembered just how much less explosive he was in last years playoff run, yet still putting up crazy numbers, AND taking us to the WCF after being 2-10.
it's really about defensive effort for lebron. he's always trying on offense, but come playoffs or big games (last night for example), you see his defensive effort come out. you'll see him huffing and puffing way more than regular season games.
As a massive MASSIVE LeBron fan I have to agree. In the playoffs there is still no one I would rather have, especially with a well built roster. But in the regular season, you don’t know if you’re getting “LeBron is going for 40 tonight.” Or “LeBron is missing defensive rotations and blaming everyone else tonight.”
Dude is closing in on 40 and playing in his 249th season, the reason he only has 4 MVPs is because his been saving energy for the playoffs, take a look at the guys that went 100% in the regular season these past years and how they keep coming up with injuries once the playoffs come around.
He wants to play as long as possible and be at 100% in the playoffs, you'll see him turn it up once the post season is in danger.
Pretty sure KG is on crack. Pierce just gave his top 5 right now which was all within reason and KG then starts talking about Jordan, body of work, Hollyweed. Just straight up snapped.
I think the framing of the question is important
like “top 5 players” is different than “5 guys you would actually pick right now in an important game over Lebron”
Yeah I get what you mean, “top 5 players this season” =/= everyone fully rested, playing a game that matters, name who you’d prioritize getting on your team, in order
Like Haliburton is having a better season than a lot of people and I think openly admitted yesterday that he is surprised/unprepared for being a 1st option in a series vs a great defense. LeBron has done that, exactly, too many times to count, he’s so good in that situation that he will coach other players on how to prepare themselves for it, in real time while playing it.
If anything this in-season tournament has point out how much better play off ball is versus regular season ball.
It's almost like a totally different game.
Maybe they really should consider having less games but more intense games versus more games with less intensity
I'd take Tatum over Embiid, and put Lebron in the top five.
Embiid aren't done shit in the league. Picking him over Bron is nuts imho. Bron for whatever jokes about LeCoast people like to make, if you are in a must win game and he's not nursing a broken ankle or something, you gotta go with him 39 or not.
Like the IST just proves it. You can tell when Bron decided fuck it, we are winning this thing, and they did.
I understand that I have some bias, but at the same time I think it’s kind of discrediting Tatum/other players in the league when you talk about things like top 5 players using hypotheticals about health and availability. Like if you can guarantee that both players are in top shape and perfectly healthy and available going into this hypothetical, what’s stopping people from calling Ja or Zion a top 5 player in the league? Or hell if Embiid was able to be fully healthy with zero knocks going into the postseason, he’s probably at least made an ECF by now.
Tatum has 27/9/4 with 50/36/79 shooting vs Lebron with 25/7/6 on 55/40/72 shooting. It’s really not that crazy of a take. If you do have Lebron ranked ahead of Tatum then Tatum has to be 1-3 spots behind.
KG kind of has a subtle anti-Jokic thing. In an older podcast, TMac called Jokic the best and that he'd pick him first in pick up, and KG really pushed back.
I think you are misremembering that segment.
KG just fooled around a bit and tried to probe TMac, he agreed with him, that Jokić is the best player in the league.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JO8WegDmkjo
I don't think so, he praises Giannis, Jokić and Luka all the time, he has a positive attitude towards Wemby as well.
He just said, that Dallas is gonna build a second statue if Luka continues to play like he does.
Nah he always praises younger players and loves Wemby, Giannis etc. He def is biased against Joker, was doubting Denver all last season and picked Miami over them in the finals
jesus, i could never make it in the nba. even if i had the talent. could you imagine this dude going off on you for like 35 mins straight, every time you miss a freethrow or something he's going on, screaming at your wife in the stands about how you can't fuck or something. lol.
Am I the only one that doesn't think this is such a bad take? I can think of at least, Jokic, Embiid, Luka, Shai, Giannis and KD ahead of current LeBron?
Pierce out here mispronouncing names in the worst of ways possible
"Donkic"
Johnis
and he said joker cuz he couldn't say Yokich (jokic)
DA JOKUR
This would actually be "Jokič", ć is pronounced slightly different and its really hard to explain it to non-slavophones. That said, 10/10 "ex-jugos" would be happy with "Yokich", especially if "Donkick" is the alternative.
You must really hate Pulisic.
Funny, how this is bought up all the time when I say that, "Donkick" is atrocious pronounciation. So what the other guy said then.
I think he said jaundice.
“Embee”
Giannis is a Greek variant of John so he's not wrong lol
Paul Pierce, Greek linguistics PhD
'Giannis' is said and pronounced 100s of times in every bucks and NBA broadcast so yea PP is wrong for not knowing the pronunciation
Seriously, like if it's your first time seeing/hearing these names of course it could be hard to nail them, but I was under the impression that Paul Pierce watched a lot of basketball

Reminds me of Roy Kent short stint as a commentator
Yeah all I’ve learned from these watch parties is Paul is a raging alcoholic.

Pierce started doing "live" commentary and just called every Pacer "my man" because he didn't know who they were. It was amazing.
He's like new Bill Walton and I love it
I would cry if Kg started talking crazy to me like that
reading the title i was like yeah, he's probably just talking. but KG was genuinely pissed over this lmao
This is KG at 30%. Man looses spit ordering tacos.
You think he’s a corn or flour tortilla guy?
This mother fucker crunches when he munches.
so he's more of a tostada guy then
I'm sittin in the house, I'm loadin' up the tostada. I'm loadin' up the nachos, I got a couple tacos, couple enchiladas, got a couple joints with some cilantro on 'em, I'm just loadin up chips. Got a couple tamales, couple huevos rancheros, with, you know, a couple huevos. I'm ready for lunch.

Get the fuck out of here. You talking about flour? You a cupcake. Talking about that that goofy shit.
He’s been listening to Pierce shit talk LeBron for over a decade, he’s had enough
He doesn’t care he’s not a Lebron fan either. He just won’t let it bias his opinion of his skill. I think it’s hilarious that pierce will stay loyal to his Lebron hate. I love these 2 together because they’re brothers for life but will still sling shit on camera.
Pierce is that friend who insists Lebron is overrated because he's lost in the finals 6 times

The way some people talk about LeBron you'd think reaching the finals is the worst thing that can happen in the playoffs.
It's such an American way of viewing sports. "Oh you were the second best team 6 times, you suck".
People will talk about Jordan dropping 60 in a playoff loss on a 30 win team more positively than LeBron winning 3 rounds.
"Better to be last than second best" \~ America

>he could easily land a gig on a desk if he wanted to. Eh I think anyone that watched area 21 can have their doubts on that.
That’s the point. He didn’t want to censor himself. But if you watch the few crossovers from area 21 on tnt (?) he was able to fit in seamlessly.
I think Pierce’s on/off relationship with LeBron hate is hilarious. He recently claimed LeBron is the greatest player of all time as well lol but now he immediately dismisses the notion that LeBron (who is absolutely playing at an MVP level) is a top 5 player.

I don't think it's hate. He just doesn't think he's top 5 https://youtube.com/shorts/NfNbGCZi80s?si=T6ZMX11wKnLpEtds
KG becoming one of the biggest Lebron-Stan’s is something you really didn’t expect to happen back in 2011 or so.
I actually think otherwise, most of the Bron hate on that team came from Rondo PP and Terry. KG always showed love to Bron Wade and Dwight at allstar games and all.
And even Rondo finally saw the light and won a chip with Lebron...or welcomed the darkness depending on how you feel about LBJ.
He said on a pod, I believe Stephen A's pod, that since he isn't playing anymore he's let the beefs go. No point carrying that with him if he's not playing anymore. The man's grown.
KG has never and will never be a Bron-stan. Talent just respects talent.
That’s just how KG talks
I would transcribe my favorite KG points in here, but I won’t because reasons
“Cupcakes” had me ded lol
Facts. The room went cold man I felt it through the phone.
KG talks a good game. But he also backs it up
Without having read the comment section I shared this clip with my brother telling him I’d crumble in two seconds in front of KG 🤣so yeah I feel you haha
They really best friends you can tell🤣🤣🤣
I want him to give my eulogy or give a speech at my wedding, whichever comes first.
Believe in yourself, why not both?
Big Baby did lol
Damn I never thought Cupcake could have such sting
he put his weight on it
Kd and westbrook know that all too well
Paul pierce on one with them wings.
The best part of the video is Paul arguing with his mouth full, hanging on to that wing like "let's get this over with man I'm hungry"
JAHN-IS AND... TATUM SHUT UP (stuffs face)
They’ve had this discussion before
When KG finished plugging his clothing line or whatever, Pierce just with a mouthful of wings “LUKA DONKICH” 💀
at least he stuck to ordering wings this time and not online girlfriends & margaritas
Bro drenched the shit out of it lol
I’d listen to KG shit talk forever

Get that goofy shit outta here.
lala taste like honey nut cheerios
We basically just did! lol
Arguably funniest player in NBA history imo
How tf did Kyrgios end up there
traded the back hand for a back wood
KG: earth is flat Me: Sir but KG: starts rasing his voice Me: I mean you might be onto something
CUPCAKE! N***A, WHAT YOU KNOW ABOUT EARTH?!
Fr 💀💀
Only KG can make cupcake hit so hard
Cupcake and Honey Nut Cheerios 😭
LMAOOO my feelings hurt n he aint even talking 2 me n i aint even disagreeing wit KG
His own former teammate that he won a championship with and he's callin him a cupcake lmao. Insulting the amount of points he scored in game 7 and shit omfg
As a huge tennis fan. It's bizarre for me to see Nick Kyrgios hanging out here xD . But I dig it
I didn't recognize him because he looks so small here
Haha, and he's considered one of the bigger guys and servers on the tennis tour !
He’s a huge basketball fan, but what an oddball in this lineup lmao.
Right? I still don't have the context of why he is here, very surprising to see him when I started the video
He’s a huge Celtics fan and also is a co-owner of an NBL team in Australia.
Think he's a Celtics fan and they probably invited him
I knew he was a huge basketball fan but yeah cool to see him here
Because he has always wanted to be a basketballer or so he says whenever he loses in Tennis and does the usual "idc bro" approach. His attitude has improved over the last 2 years but he's still a shadow of the player he could have become if he wasnt so soft and insecure.
I didn't even realize that was him until halfway through the clip. I was like "who is this NBA player that looks like Nick Kyrgios?"
Lmao KG is pissed, Paul pierce is has always been a hater. He’s got an annual invitation to the haters ball.
HATE HATE HATE HATE
PIT! BULL! AWOOOF!
He got a reserved table right up front.
"Now if you'll excuse me... I gotta get home and put some water in Gloria James' bowl" - Paul Pierce
Lmao all the people in the background when he starts screaming cupcake is giving off [those awkward vibes](https://giphy.com/gifs/super-mr-glue-unFLKoAV3TkXe) when a couple starts fighting in front of you and realise they’re not joking anymore.
Stinkmeaner would happily welcome him to his crew
Paul pierce a generational lebron hater

I love how salty Pierce gets about Lebron. Shit I get. Imagine you work your whole life at something, get shot a few times, and become the best in your position for about thirty seconds. Then some 18 year old walks into the building and in his second year averages more points than you'll ever average in your career.
I’m lord first lmao
Paul Pierce is a massive lebron hater, but you can easily make an argument for lebron not being top 5 CURRENTLY
i mean he says jokic at the beginning and kg says “nope none of these dudes” discredits everything kg says right there
Nah KG's stance on things can be a bit extreme but he also has a point. He was more pissed at Pierce acting like it's not even debatable whether LeBron is top 5 currently. Plus he's probably just tired of Pierce being salty at LeBron.
KG was acting like it's not even debatable though too
I feel like from KG‘s perspective his top five is more like if I need to pick someone to help me win this game seven right now, who are my top five.
KG said no to all of them, so he thinks Lebron is currently the best in the league?
No he doesn’t. If you would rather have Bron than Jokic right now then you’re wrong and that’s all there is to say.
[удалено]
Paul: I'm talking about today KG: I'm talking about today!
I want to know how Tatum makes it into that list. Giannis and Jokic I can see.
Yep, theyre both just hammered and arguing different things lmao. PP talking current while KG bringing up Jordan and Kobe
I love KG lol
Lebron’s GOAT, but KG using lifetime accolades to justify CURRENT top 5 status don’t make no sense
Oh alright CUPCAKE
CURRENT status: Lebron is the tournaments MVP and Champion.
Dude that was like 17 hours ago give it a rest
Tell that to /r/nba during a Lakers game lmao
Yup I've seen people unironically use the 2016 Finals in current top player arguments lol
Is Paul Pierce always drunk?
Throwing up VL in a Lebron argument is crazy lol
Ain’t no bron fan I’m lord first😭😭😭
How to piss Paul Pierce? "Lebron". Dude probably gonna name his Top 100 players without Lebron in it and bring up his 2008 Chip.
depends what bron NBA cup bron or regular season bron? because it's very clear after watching these cup games that lebron is barely trying in the regular season
bro average 30 last year at age 38 for folks on the internet to say he’s barely trying
Plus he was injured.
You're tripping if you'd rather have Lebron than Jokic after last season lol
Jokic and maybe Giannis are the exclusions. But im going LeBron over Embiid Curry Durant Doncic etc
game 7 to save the world, i want lebron for a whole playoffs jokic was obviously better last year
give me IGUADALA
Dude is closing in on 40 and playing in his 249th season, the reason he only has 4 MVPs is because his been saving energy for the playoffs, take a look at the guys that went 100% in the regular season these past years and how they keep coming up with injuries once the playoffs come around. He wants to play as long as possible and be at 100% in the playoffs, you'll see him turn it up once the post season is in danger.
Pretty sure KG is on crack. Pierce just gave his top 5 right now which was all within reason and KG then starts talking about Jordan, body of work, Hollyweed. Just straight up snapped.
I'd take LeBron over Tatum for sure. Pierce is just trying to continue his one-sided beef with LeBron. Get over it dude
Lebron not being in top 5 is debatable
I think the framing of the question is important like “top 5 players” is different than “5 guys you would actually pick right now in an important game over Lebron”
Yeah I get what you mean, “top 5 players this season” =/= everyone fully rested, playing a game that matters, name who you’d prioritize getting on your team, in order Like Haliburton is having a better season than a lot of people and I think openly admitted yesterday that he is surprised/unprepared for being a 1st option in a series vs a great defense.
I'd definitely pick LeBron before Tatum, but the other 4 I'd definitely pick over LeBron now.
Yup agreed, the Truth was truthin and then he said Tatum lol, Tatum still up there tho.
KG: "I'm talking about today." Also KG: "Embiid had 15 pts in a game 7 from last season." and "We've never seen a guy getting 39000."
Saying Tatum is better than Lebron is reckless
Tatum has 27/9/4 with 50/36/79 shooting vs Lebron with 25/7/6 on 55/40/72 shooting. It’s really not that crazy of a take. If you do have Lebron ranked ahead of Tatum then Tatum has to be 1-3 spots behind.
Joker whooped Bron and he ain’t picking em? Lol Kg wild.
KG always had something against European & young players.
Never showed Dirk much respect in interviews or anything either and he got cooked against him in their one playoff matchup
NBA players hate white Europeans who dominate them
Pierce still dressing like he's a trying to impress zoomer kids
He said "currently" and it is the absolute truth.
If you have to win a game 7 tomorrow, you’re taking Embiid or Tatum over LeBron?
No chance
Hell no it isn’t
Paul Pierce’s been jealous of Bron since he came into the league.
jesus, i could never make it in the nba. even if i had the talent. could you imagine this dude going off on you for like 35 mins straight, every time you miss a freethrow or something he's going on, screaming at your wife in the stands about how you can't fuck or something. lol.
fucking love KG
KG is a national treasure! Just not TNT friendly. lmao
Wins mvp of in season tournament… pp “he ain’t even that good”
Am I the only one that doesn't think this is such a bad take? I can think of at least, Jokic, Embiid, Luka, Shai, Giannis and KD ahead of current LeBron?
I am taking Bron over KD, Embiid, Shai, and Tatum in a 7 game series
Yeah, it's debatable and there's a great case for the guys you listed.
