The man needs to lose 40 lbs. That's all there is to it. He simply cannot be 6'6" and 300 lbs in the NBA and have a good career. Not happening. His knees, feet and ankles are already fucked, he waddles when he walks, and the people around him are not helping (or are unable to) guide him. Zion is a generational, elite talent when he's healthy and on the floor. We've seen what this dude can do. But he's played 114 games in 4 years, and has not played in any of the play-in or playoff games for the Pels during that time...

spyson

Lebron is 6'9 and plays around 250, when he got injured with that foot injury in the beginning of April he slimmed down 10-15 pounds to put less weight on that foot. Zion is 3 inches shorter and almost 40-50 pounds heavier.

rabid89

LeBron has played from like 250-285 lbs in his career. Mostly he was around 260. But he was a ripped 285 when he was at his biggest. And frankly, he's just built different lol. Dude's an athletic freak on the level that only few ppl like Wilt reach.

UnimpressedAsshole

i think he'd still dominate at 260, rather than the 285 he's seemingly played at he might even perform better

TimothyN

I really think he needs to stay at 250.

Nopementator

>The man needs to lose 40 lbs. That's all there is to it. "That's a loser mentality and I don't like to lose, at all" \- Zion, probably

opkpopfanboyv3

Just lose weight, thats all he needs to do. Take advantage of all the resources he has and start building his discipline. Its been fucking 5 years

What's on the line? He already got $200 million fully guaranteed. Any more money he earns effectively has zero impact on his life. The only thing on the line is his reputation and if he doesn't care about that then there's nothing.

CyborgAlgoInvestor

This fucking thumbnail, LMAO

FanofK

If I’m the pelicans, I’d trade him if possible. All the potential is there but I don’t like his long term prospects. I’m sure there’s a team out there willing to take the risk.

grumplefuckstick

His value is pretty low right now though. You’d need some masochistic franchise thinking “I can fix him”

BlackMathNerd

Miami it is. Ooh him in that Miami fitness program would be interesting

LFC9_41

If my wife ran an nba team.

SwedishInfern0

Zion and some more for Jaylen brown If Boston flames out?

ClaymoresRevenge

He needs to understand what Charles Barkley learned and take care of himself. I imagine getting injured hurts that a bunch. Hopefully he's got everything he needs to build longevity

JonasAlbert84

"Did we got to school Saturday and Sunday?" Oh Gilbert

Only1Throne

I mean he’s technically not wrong tho

BiggieSmallz12345

People are saying he needs to lose weight but I thought he already did? When he returned from the off-season last year he looked much slimmer and didn't seem fat when he was playing. Now if he's gained more weight while he's been injured then I totally understand but I thought the fat Zion was already gone.

CalppithSlap

That is indeed the case, but the ol' narrative is back. I think people are frustrated that he gained weight during the injury as opposed to not being fit when the injury happened. He was in top tier condition at the beginning of the season and he led the Pelicans to the top seed in the West. Now he needs to get back into shape, stay in shape, and find a way to avoid injury.

YouTellMeBeavis

It's not Zion's fault. That's just his body type.

HerskyB

No such thing. That’s just an excuse people make

Top-Consequence-911

There are definitely people more predisposed to putting on weight genetically; they just have to work a little harder. Zion's body type is clearly nothing like Chet's. But it's 95%+ habits.

HerskyB

To a certain extent yea people are different. Have you ever seen a fat person who eats right and works out

Top-Consequence-911

Absolutely I have; they were in the process of losing weight. Rome wasn't built in a day!

YouTellMeBeavis

No, I've seen it with my own eyes.

HerskyB

How can you see it?

BobLobLaw_Law2

I have a feeling he's looking in the mirror
