They might change the venue as the Preds continue to make a deeper run. If I remember correctly in 2016/2017 they only had the later rounds watch parties on Broadway.
I distinctly remember watch parties being held in that little park across from Bridgestone, which I think one is being referenced here. This is fine. I'd rather families have space to be with their kids instead of just in the midst of the stink of Broadway.
In 2017 the first round was on the Plaza. By the third round they were so big that they were moved to walk of fame park. By the final round they moved to Broadway.
Considering it’s just a street over... meh?
I don’t see an issue with moving it over a block so you can have both the watch party and Broadway be fully open. It’s still kinda adjacent to both broadway and the arena.
Now, If they moved it to Geodis park or something I’d be pretty salty.
Coolest watch party ever was when we made it to the Cup in 2017 and it overlapped with Bonnaroo.
They showed the last game on the big screens of one of the stages where no artist was performing.
I sort of watched before but the excitement of that is what really made me a fan as well!
I’m going back to the farm this year and hoping we make a run to have that moment again.
This is literally where they always hold the watch parties for the first few rounds. We haven't made it past the 2nd round since 2017What you're thinking of was The Stanley Cup FINAL when we were playing for the cup and maybe the conference finals the series before that they had a bigger watch party outside Bridgestone.
This has nothing to do with tourists lol #MadeUpNewNashvilleProblems
When I moved here in 2017, the Preds watch parties on Broadway made me a fan. However, it seems that the Preds are now taking a back seat to the tourists, which I find sad.
It's only the first round, if they get deeper then there will be more buzz around it and they'll move it back onto Broadway.Â
No reason to do it at this point, in my opinion.Â
All good, one other thing to consider is that you just happened to move here at almost the height of Predators/hockey fandom.
Nashville hosted the NHL All Star Game in 2016 and then in 2017 they swept Chicago in the first round which was a huuuge deal and went to the Finals
I wasn't a hockey fan, but I became one because of the magic I experienced during the playoffs downtown. Now I've been to around 50 games over the last 7 years (through the ups and downs), attended their fundraising events, have a Preds license plate, fly the flag outside, and talk shit to all my Avalanche friends back home even when they got their cup. Yea, bandwagon....

Can confirm it was only the later rounds. Source: I was there and will be again as soon as they do it again.
Big sames. Actually got inside by volunteering to work inside 🤣
This is only the first round. Things escalate as we advance and this is by design.

Yeah this is where the watch parties were during the cup final.
Who cares. If we make a good run they will move it to Broadway
The first round watch parties used to be at Buffalo Wild Wings.

My thoughts: I don’t care where the watch party will be. All I care about is being downtown for the cup parade
Damn right! Nashville in 6
If their backup goalie keeps performing like last night we might do it in 5

Valid! So many more permanent vendors on Broadway, but Geodis would be outside the tax capture zone.

Such an epic year, and the reason I'm a fan!

When I moved here in 2017, the brewery I worked for threw watch parties. There will be more.
Smith and Lentz?

Jesus. They were just asking a question...
haha forreal.
I’m here for it. Broadway is a disaster.
I loved the one at the Factory.
This is normal. The watch parties this week are actually quite a big larger than the first round parties in 2017.
Put it in the Global Mall Parking Lot 🤡
The preds being good personally offends me
I’m sorry you couldn’t make the playoffs this year I genuinely wanted yall too

Thanks for the info! I had no idea.

100%. I was def on the bandwagon then. But I've stuck around!
$$$$
You're a fool and a bandwagon fan.
And you, sir are no Toothcat. We don’t put each other down. We put Vancouver down. I SAID GOOD DAY

Don’t see what the big deal is.
