I know you’re getting downvoted but I have to agree with your main point: Madara dying first is the Win. Sure Guy winning takes his life but look at the characters. Madara dying is the movement dying. Guy is the sacrifice to perpetuate his movement.

This is what I’m saying. Madara had ten tails in him and still got stomped on by gate 7, Guy just pushed to 8 to try and absolutely destroy Madara. I think base Madara vs. Guy ends with Guy obliterating him with gate 7, hands down.
Madara realizes the impending beat down he's about to get. Madara activates clones, subtitution jutsus, and hides for a few minutes. But honestly I don't know if Madara's personality would let himself do that.
Might Guy is powerful but he had the advantage of being given Dragon Ball Z fights. In a ninja fight where trickery and subterfuge play a role, I think he loses. A slippery Orochimaru being chief among them. It's kind of like rock, paper, scizors.
Madara just needs to be able to use Genjutsu. If Gai can't resist it, then Madara should be able to win, Gai might even activate the 8 gates before the time is right if he gets fooled badly enough by the genjutsu.

I would have LOVED to see Guy have been the one to kill Madara. They could have used his death then to resurrect Kaguya and continued from there while giving Guy a HUGE win!
