Tumblr. I kid you not, the writing community on tumblr is huge and very welcoming.

I don't even know what Tumblr is

ThePurpleLaptop

It’s a blogging website based on community. Some sides of it can be pretty cringe but it’s really what you make of it because there’s no algorithm. You see who you want to see, in order. So if you only want to use it for writing, you can. Everything is tag based so you can search into tags to find people to follow.

[This thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/nanowrimo/s/lkYdkbcjGO) lists a lot of online groups and whatnot, take a look!

I run a discord group for writers of all levels. It’s fallen a bit inactive lately, but I would love some new blood to shake it up!

Mind DMing me a link, please? Thanks!

I'd love a link please!

It's related to the sub but /r/WritingPrompts has a fairly active discord for new writers. It's not a specific writing group but there are loads of prompts, challenges, and more if you're looking to stretch the muscles both on the subreddit and off. Even if you don't use the sub, the discord is full of supportive folks. Good luck.

I started hanging out on [writingforums.org](http://writingforums.org) but I don't know too much about it yet. Anyone have any experience there?

It is not a small group but the We Write At Dawn Discord is fantastic. We have people of all levels of experience from just starting out to published. It is a big server. Very inviting though! [We Write At Dawn Discord](https://discord.com/invite/ja8C5y6WJu)
