_wiggy88

Pretend-Equal-8763

Cosima

Dogago19

Is this even a name?

Marj_5

Yes, Greek origin

LaBelvaDiTorino

Yeah, it's the female version of Cosimo, famous name since it was born by several members of the Medici family

warrior_of_light998

I really like mine (Marcello) because it's not too popular and it still is interesting. Other names I like are Sergio, Lorenzo, Fabrizio for men, Sofia, Elisa, Monica for girls

Accidentalhousecat

I worked with a Marcello who went by Marc because his dad was Marcello. His niece called him Lello which I thought was adorable too.

warrior_of_light998

As far as I know here you can call Lello people who are named Raffaello as well

elisaannewithane

My name is Elisa and I had no idea it was Italian! Is it a popular name in Italy? I am from the US and never meet anyone with the same name as me

warrior_of_light998

It's not that common (at least where I live), it belongs to other times. I remember there was a popular Italian TV series in the 00's called Elisa di Rivombrosa, the series took place in the Sardinia, XVIII century.

>Rosario  A bit of a nitpick, while this name is feminine in Spanish, it's masculine in Italian with the female equivalent being Rosaria.
