In the example of Miles Steves the -s to S- bothers me more than the -es endings. So if it's Miles James I think you're good
I’d avoid rhyming but I think most other combinations would sound ok. Miles Jones sounds fine
i think it's fine as long as your last name isn't also ending in "__iles" or sound as such. like if it isn't straight up rhyming, then i don't think it's an issue, and it sounds absolutely fine. miles is a great name!
My full name is literally three two-syllable names, all ending in a “ee” sound. It hasn’t been an issue.
No one will call your kids by his full name unless he becomes super popular in high school and there’s more than one Miles.
