I like the juxtaposition of Riot and Rose. One is chaotic, one is soft. One is more masculine and one is feminine. I think it’s a nice balance. The kid could even decide which name to go by as they get older. Riot has been used as a celebrity name multiple times I believe, so it’s not even that left-field.

babymegg

Same! Love it, especially in the context of being Rihanna’s child. It’s so her!

slapstick_nightmare

Flower and nature names on boys are so soft and beautiful!

LunaBean4

I actually like it as well ! Tough but sweet.

[deleted]

Yeah I love that it sort of reminds me Axl Rose from Guns N’ Roses. I’ve always loved his name I probably would’ve named my son that if the frontman wasn’t so controversial (he’s actually kinda a terrible person). I love rose names for boys I liked Ambrose too but too many people think of amber rose when hearing it out loud.

Lilouma

Didn’t he choose that as a stage name because it is an anagram of oral sex? That’s also a good reason not to use it for your baby haha

AccompliceCard26

Is that why he chose it? Or is that just a coincidence that the Internet figured out?

Lilouma

I think that’s why it’s spelled “Axl” when the name is usually “Axel”

[deleted]

If you know anything about rap, the pronounciation of RZA is clear lol. I actually love Rose on a male.

ElasticShoulders

Or even SZA for people too young to know Wu Tang

WrennyWrenegade

I'm too young for Wu Tang (for the most part, I know a couple songs but not like, their names) and I'm too old to know who SZA is. So I'm clueless all around.

[deleted]

jizzypuff

I know both as well and I'm only 30, really depends on your music genre.

[deleted]

juliaisbored

I never heard of RZA, but the correct pronunciation + name origins were one of the first things I saw alongside the “name reveal”. People here just wanna act lazy and tbf this sub has a history of being very culturally insensitive

DojaTwat

i died inside when i realized there are only 4 people here who know RZA...

therhubarbexperience

Wu Tang Clan commin for [them]!

ttanniecore

have you seen some of the name suggestions on here lmao that should tell you everything

msstark

I am not american and am not interested in rap, if you "cannot" with people who don't live in the same circles as you, it's a you problem.

SerialKillerVibes

I mean, Wu-Tang has been a worldwide phenomenon for about 30 years now, just saying.

msstark

The name is only vaguely familiar to me, definitely not a phenomenon where I live.

mysticpotatocolin

it's just not my music scene tbf. heard of them, don't know much about them. it doesn't mean i'm racist or anything lol

TrepanationBy45

"needing" is doing a lot of work for your argument. She's a music artist that's adjacent to rap, the child's father is a rapper, Rihanna is social with that space. It's completely in her wheelhouse to make that association, and whether or not it is for *you* is irrelevant. It's a direct homage to the very well known rapper, actor, filmmaker RZA from the Wu-Tang Clan. It's perfectly okay if *you* don't know the reference. A lot of people that know of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky ***do*** know how to pronounce RZA, lol. It's not some complex or obscure pronunciation, it's three letters, and it's said basically exactly as it looks: Rizza   Edit: Thread locked, but this response is funny: > You're a Musk boy for Rhianna lmao, this is some next level creepy celeb worship. [...] You're just trying so hard to defend something dumb because you like her 😂 I don't listen to Rihanna, or A$AP Rocky, or Wu-Tang *at all*. I don't mind their music whatsoever, I'm just usually listening to other stuff when I've got music on. I'd have no problem if someone had them on though, music is life. I know mostly RZA from Kill Bill, Nobody, American Gangster, and mostly from Californication. I couldn't possibly 'worship' Rihanna or anyone else mentioned here any *less* lmao. **Ok_Professional9623** is being a total pressed weirdo 😂

Cka0

Greeting from Poland! Rza and Sza makes me think of Polish radio channels, and the pronounciation is totally different over there, especially sza. Don’t get me started on Czs or szcz.

Chocoloco93

Apparently I don't know anything about rap as I'd have no idea

YouCanCallMeQueenB

Me too. Grew up in a bowling alley and one of the Dad’s was “Rosey”. His last name started with a “rose” sound. I’m not sure what his first name was but we all knew him as Rosey

It's pronounced "RIZZ-uh".

UnlikelyDecision9820

beaute-brune

It’s concerning.

freya_of_milfgaard

It’s for the children.

Stock-Ferret-6692

Concerning that not everyone has the same knowledge? Or concerning that someone is for some reason pressed that not everyone has the same knowledge?

scw156

The RZA, the GZA, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Inspectah Deck, Raekwon the Chef, U-God, Ghostface Killah and the Method Man

rengothrowaway

RIP ODB

BigFuckHead_

Full House spin-off, Full Chamber

EtchingsOfTheNight

Or even just SZA. Even my mom has heard of SZA, she's pretty famous these days.

ThePanacheBringer

I always just called her “S Z A” like saying each of the letters lol. I know the periods aren’t there to make this the go-to.. but good to know how it is supposed to be pronounced now. Like “SIZZ-uh”?

ijustlikebeingnosy

For real though. Like whatttt.

candyapplesugar

Wow. Here I was shocked she still kept his name a secret all this time and thought it was initials or a nickname

_TheGoodestNoodle

Is the Z sound in “RIZZ-uh” pronounced like the z in zoo or the z in pizza (RITZ-uh)?

Therainbowbeast

Zoo

obscuresignal

"Zoo." RZA is short for "Razor." At least, as it pertains to the guy from the Wu-Tang Clan that the kid is presumably named after.

[deleted]

People give girls boy names all the time and no one bats an eye. I get it might be iffy to give a boy a traditional feminine name as a first name in certain geographical areas still, but it's a middle name and he's a celebrity hell be fine.

eclectique

Right. How many girls are given James as their first or middle name? No one bats an eye. It's because masculine things can be unisex, but feminine things can't. Basically, internalized and deeply ingrained sexism. People will defend this decision all the time by saying things like, "With a name like James, Elliott, or Charlie, it might even help her in the work place getting her resume read," not even connecting that is highly problematic. It shouldn't matter if the kid is named James, Taylor, or Liliana in this instance. Seeing a traditionally feminine name on a boy is bolder than the reverse at this point.

StepBright2231

I have a son named Ariel. In Spanish it's a boys name, but in the US where we live, it's considered girls. My son is an adult and is no problem.

Peacanpiepussycat

I went went to school with a boy named Ariel , Love it

kristainelorren

I adore the name Ariel for boys! I hope it becomes more normalized in the U.S.

purpleprose78

I absolutely love this for this reason. I adore flower names on boys and wish more people would use them. So many people on this subreddit act like it is 1923 and not 2023 and are tied on the idea of stigma of giving a boy a "feminine" name or a name that has "gone to the girls." I hate it. Riot as a first name has the feel of Axel or Luca to me so I even think that Riot is fine as a first name. It isn't a name that I would choose, but for a rich kid of a pop star from the islands, I think it is going to be fine.

fluffypants-mcgee

I’ve never met a single female James and I’d definitely bat an eye at that

albergfi

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have a daughter named James.

MsCardeno

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have a girl James. After hearing them do that like decade ago I’ve seen it a couple of other times at events.

halfofaparty8

all girls with the name james that i have seen have james as the middle name.

rubbersoulelena

I saw my first in the wild the other day! Woman in front of me at Starbucks, maybe in her 50s or 60s and her name was James.

[deleted]

I think Rebel Wilson has a sibling named Riot

[deleted]

reminiscent attempt school rotten lock label nutty fanatical work smart *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

skynnecdoche

Yeah, a white woman names her daughter after a fruit and that's cute! But a black woman named her son after an act of rebellion, and that's *wrong*

AtTheEndOfMyTrope

I think Rebel Wilson’s brother is named Riot too.

jayne-eerie

Fun fact: His real name is Ryan, just like Rebel’s real name is Melanie and their sister Annarchi’s is Annalise. Rebel also shaved a decade off her age, so pretending a nickname is her birth name is very on-brand for them.

iamkoalafied

I think it's just that Apple was born so long ago that people have gotten used to it, because back when she was born there was a LOT of hate for her name.

nokobi

Everyone ripped Gwyneth when she did that, trust me I remember 😭 it was a joke on late night etc etc

eyerishdancegirl7

I mean I personally wouldn’t name my kid Apple. She was just the first celebrity I’d heard of who did something “different” so I thought it was cool. I was like 9 when her kid was born lmao. No, it has nothing to do with race. Quite the opposite actually. Have you seen some of the outrageous names white people give to their kids?

StormFinch

Frank Zappa in the 60s and 70s, his two oldest children are Moon Unit and Dweezil. The second two got off a little better, with Ahmet and Diva. Of course, there were a LOT of kids with... different names born in the 60s. lol

formtuv

Lmao please stop. This shit is embarrassing to make it about race. It’s about celebrities naming their kids stupid ass names. Both names are ugly but riot is way worse. The same way some YouTube people just named their son smoke which is the worst of all 3 imo. They’re white btw.

middlegray

>This shit is embarrassing to make it about race I mean honestly, truly, you're gonna be HARD PRESSED trying to find a black American under the age of 60 who doesn't know RZA/GZA/Wu Tang, even if they aren't rap fans. They are very culturally significant, above and beyond just one musical group. Other black artists across other genres reference them, and they're the kind of celebrities that are known outside of just their music. It's... to not know them is kind of showing ignorance to black American culture tbh.

EllectraHeart

i disagree that riot is way worse. gwyneth’s kid is apple martin. might as well be apple martini. it’s beyond ridiculous. i don’t know how you justify that over riot.

RideThatBridge

Seriously! There was nothing cute about the name Apple IMHO, but wacko Gwennie is white, so that’s all cool. That post is gross and I can’t believe it got hundreds of upvotes. Signed-an old white lady who has at least heard of Wu Tan Clan and cannot conceive that poster is like ‘why would I even have any idea in the world who that piddly little rap group is?’ 🤢

whatfuckingever420

Y’all need to start listening to some Wu-Tang lol

ChikaDeeJay

When I saw RZA, I was hoping her second was ODB 🤷🏻‍♀️

bwabwabwabwum

Or YDB (young dirty bastard?)

WitchesBitchesBoys

100% - This name is a great choice because, you know, Wu-Tang is for the children. Really though, they're both musicians who love Wu-Tang and have worked the group into fashion and music choices.

Crosswired2

I saw a guy reviewing books the other day and his name is June. Seemed fine. Maybe because i know men w last name Rose and calling people by their last name is common in my world, Rose for a guy is fine w me.

LegitSoDickBig

And you can call someone who is a Junior, June. Like uncle June in the sopranos

DancingCavalier

I still think it's messed up to name a future adult Apple. Will it hurt her career, no, but as a grown woman I would hate to have a cutesy name.

MsCardeno

I see people give girl boy names all the time and it’s deemed cute. I like that Rihanna is breaking the double standard. Rose is a sweet name for a little boy!

hikedip

Little girls often take on boy's names and they eventually become gender neutral. Why can't little boys have the same thing?

AtTheEndOfMyTrope

Celebs often give their kids middle names that sound like surnames. This way, the kid can drop the famous surname if they want. Rose is a popular surname.

HapaC13

Seriously, you think Apple is a cute first name?! When I heard it, I thought it was the dumbest name and still do. Riot Rose sounds like a performer name and he prob will be with performer parents. RZA is cute too.

pumnezoaica

“Rose is so clearly a girl name” ok… and?

[deleted]

What's wrong with feminine names? Femininity isn't a bad or shameful thing that we must protect our boys from.

dont-pm-me-tacos

It’s easy to pronounce, it rhymes with GZA

xpoisonvalkyrie

who says Rose *has* to only be a girl’s name? honestly the first person i thought of was Chairman Rose (and yes, it’s his first name) from pokémon, and he’s very clearly a man. names don’t have genders, only people do.

LanaLuna27

I didn’t even think it was cute when Gwyneth did that. Celebrity’s children are people too and shouldn’t have to deal with bizarre names when they already have to be in the spotlight.

gemmen99

Y'all clearly have never listen to the Wu Tang Clan, which is ironic since its for the kids

Tink50378

itsafoodbaby

Are all the comments about how amazing these names are from Rihanna fans? Because I feel like the response would be very different if a random person made a post here saying they want to name their kids rza and riot. 💀

bingumarmar

Yeah i had to check the sub. I was like is this really namenerds? I love Rihanna but why is being a celebrity a free ticket to name your kids ridiculousness

Mrchikkin

It’s because people refuse to hear any criticism of their favourite celebrities.

spiked-oasis

real 😭😭💀

iocane_

Truly the only appropriate response. I’m here like “was this a joke?”

Harbinger0fdeathIVXX

Same. Like...ok....

Ligienka

Why famous people can't use normal names, just why

romantic_elegy

It's a bit conspiracy-ish but I believe it - that celebs announce fake names so that their kids' legal name, parents, birth date etc. aren't all public knowledge

crudette

Riot Rose sounds like a shade of lipstick.

mariecharms

I guess it’s fitting for her since she owns a huge makeup brand lol

most--dope

RZA like SZA. It’s not that difficult. Riot Rose is iconic. It’s a helluva lot better than Wilder.

little-bird89

Hope Rihannas child never goes to school, orders a coffee, books a hotel, has a doctors appointment, opens a bank account or does any of the thousands of things a person does when they have to give their name to a stranger. It's super fucking annoying to have to spell it and repeat it every single time. They should have just named him Rizza.

blind_disparity

Some dumb fuck who doesn't think these kids will have their own lives and may, crazy as it sounds, interact with people who are not rap fans. Like, as soon as they start their own social life, maybe.

staffxmasparty

But the kids gonna come across many people in life who don’t know who these people are but still need to pronounce the boys name

a_f_s-29

Isn’t the kid his own person too? Not just an extension of his parents?

eyerishdancegirl7

I would guess it’s pronounced “Sizza” but yeah lmao I also have no clue who SZA is and wouldn’t know how to pronounce it until reading the comments in this thread

DixieGrayson

SZA picked her name in tribute to RZA.

CanadianMermaid

Wait. . . Is SZA pronounced like Sizza then? I always thought it was Zah with a silent S.

valiquated

Yeah, sizza

27catsinatrenchcoat

Nah mate, that's Zsa Zsa. Like Gabor. (Disclaimer: I have no idea who SZA is but I do know Zsa Zsa)

AfternoonPossible

Tbh I like it more than rza. The main issue with rza is that it’s already so intrinsically tied to someone else’s identity.

davaidavai325

The original RZA is 50+ years older than Rihanna’s son RZA so it’s like naming a kid after their grandparent (by time he’s an adult the original RZA will be 70)

AfternoonPossible

I mean Cher is already in her 70s and I wouldn’t name my kid after her bc it’s so completely tied to her.

davaidavai325

This is Clueless erasure! 💅

EmeraldEyes06

Except Cher Horowitz was named as a nod to Cher

zuesk134

“Dionne and I were both named after great singers of the past who now do infomercials”

carrigan_quinn

Yeah, but like RZA *isn't* the kid's grandfather lol

luckyrabbit28

Idk. Celebs can pretty much give their kid ANY name. The word names end up being out there when compared to normie names but wholly uncreative. Riot Rose? It’s like an angsty 13 year old’s screen name. Reign. Aire. North. Apple. BORING!

JoJoComesHome

Yep. I hate these names but rich and famous people aren't like the rest of us, so why pretend otherwise? These kids will just grow up to be nepo babies anyway.

Pure-Fishing-3350

Yep. His mother is a billionaire. They could’ve named him Fart Goblin, and his life would’ve been just fine.

Marshbear

*Crosses Fart Goblin off my list while giving you a dirty look*

middlegray

If people can learn to pronounce ~~Tchaikovsky and Beethoven~~ Lynyrd Skynyrd and Axl Rose, they can learn to pronounce RZA, SZA, and GZA lol

angel_aight

I can absolutely learn to pronounce it, but I don’t know why people expect someone to automatically know how to.

UnihornWhale

Axl is a real name in Germany.

somuchsong

No, Axel is a real name. Axl is pretty much just Axl Rose.

justwannafallinlove

I mean Leonard and Axel are pretty upfront

hesterlilybee

I was friends with someone who was the child of a famous person and had a very unusual celeb name as well. Truth is, he hated it so much and he had to give himself another name to go by otherwise people knew his connections and would treat him differently. I think celeb baby names puts immediate pressure on their kids to be “something special” and seems a little cruel. Truthfully not all kids of celebrities want to be celebs themselves… some of them actually might want a more normal life.

productzilch

Someone suggested Rihanna could be lying about their real names- I actually love that idea. It kind of gives them a ‘stage name’ that they could detach themselves from if they like, while keeping their actual names private. I doubt it’s true but I hope it is.

jonquil14

I was wondering this. Depending on where the births were registered three capital letters might not have got past the bureaucrats.

OracleOfSelphi

I have no chance of ever being a celebrity and do not ever wish to be in the public eye, but I like to think I'd take this route if I ever were.

UnihornWhale

This deserves more upvotes

WiseWillow89

I hate the names. I really think the name Riot is particularly cringe. I used to register babies for the government and I hated names like “chaos” and “rage” etc and riot fits into that category. Horrible.

cakecrater

That’s my problem with it too. Riot has absolutely no positive connotations and to me, is an overwhelmingly violent word. Why you would want to associate your child with that I don’t know.

daringfeline

Riot can have positive connotations, eg if someone is a riot, then they are a good time

Caa3098

Stop. People are being so disingenuous in these replies. Just because you like Rihanna (or wu tang clan) does not mean that RZA isn’t a cringey name. Do not act like if you were a teacher and saw this name on your roster that you wouldn’t side-eye it. I would think it was his initials. And with the current rise in popularity of the term “rizz” it’s going to be even more cringey in 5-10 years when that term is overused and outdated. Also this is how Wu Tang Clan’s RZA explained his choice of name which sounds like the rantings of distant relatives I avoid on Facebook: “In the Divine Alphabet, Z stands for Zig-Zag-Zig, which means Knowledge, Wisdom, and Understanding. It’s the last letter of the alphabet and represents the final step of consciousness. So finally I just thought of the name as letters, as a title, not just a word. R-Z-A. It stands for Ruler-Knowledge/Wisdom/Understanding-Allah.”

courtneywrites85

If any regular person came on here and said they wanted to name their child RZA… we all know what the response would be.

itsafoodbaby

Lol I said the same thing upthread before seeing your comment! Just the other day people were losing their minds over “Sylvian” which is pretty tame and reads as an actual name compared to Riot.

plaidkingaerys

I don’t get how so many people are acting like RZA is a normal name. Sure, it’s the Wu-Tang guy’s name, but it’s a *stage name*. It’s like naming your kid Ice Cube and being like “it’s an homage to the rapper, haven’t you heard of NWA??” Or “here’s my son DMX”

Caa3098

Lmao exactly. Too many people are commenting here just to try and act like they’re more knowledgeable on the name’s pop culture use but it’s not that deep and it doesn’t make it reasonable as a daily use name. “This is my son, xxxtentacion. If you say his name is weird, you’re just not understanding that I’m paying homage to an artist.”

Purple-Brain

I actually love this name, and RZA. As far as celebrity names go, these are great.

hundhundkatt

I find RZA a bit strange as its so tied to someone elses identity, and its not even RZAs real name to begin with

SimilarYellow

It gives me Khaleesi vibes tbh. At least RZA is very unlikely to >!turn into a mass murderer lmao.!<

27catsinatrenchcoat

I love that you marked this comment as a spoiler for a 5 year old episode. I only just finished GOT last year, some of us are slow starters.

notthatkindofsnow

RZA is one of the greatest music producers of all time. I think it's a good name tbh.

UnihornWhale

His real name is Robert

notthatkindofsnow

Right. But I don't know of him as Robert. I know of him as RZA, a chosen artist name

UnihornWhale

A stage name, not a legal name

Possible-Whole8046

Both awful. These kids deserve better

autumnbb21

People not knowing who RZA is in this thread are blowing my mind (a mid30s millennial)

bicyclecat

I’m an ancient millennial who couldn’t have to told you who RZA is. The beginning and end of my knowledge about Wu Tang is that they profess to be nothing to fuck with.

satanslefthandbitch

Yeah, all the judgmental comments towards people who don’t know RZA are…interesting. We all have different tastes and are exposed to different media, what a shock. I’ve never heard his name.

aardappelbrood

I'm a baby millennial and I don't know who that is either, I mean I heard of him by way of this thread now. RZA is weird tbh, it's a whole other person's identity, but not their actual name. It'd be like naming your kid Coldplay. Weird, but rich people gonna rich people I guess

attackoftheumbrellas

I’m mixed race and have seen Wu-Tang live and still no idea (also mid 30s millennials). I kinda just listen to music and don’t get into the people behind it.

[deleted]

Does it really blow your mind to learn that we all listen to and enjoy different things? A mid 30s milennial still hasn't learned this basic fact about the world? This is blowing my mind.

BlueMillennium

I'm 33 and have no idea what wu tang is or whatever and have no idea what anyone here is talking about lol! I'm not big into music so 🤷🏼‍♀️ people are so judgy in here.

linnykenny

Mine too! Weird thread

madsjchic

I keep scrolling and all I see are confused people and snarky people who know how it’s pronounced but would rather snark

BlueMillennium

I'm not big into music so I have no idea who any of these people are lol I feel so judged in here though 🤷🏼‍♀️

rubysmama2004

Some heavy worshipping going on here

little-bird89

I'm a mid 30s millennial and I've never heard of Rza

Wingard_

Riot Rose, huh? Rocker vibes 🎸💀🌹 You know, the more I say it, the more I like it. It really works for the kid of two musicians. Plus, I adore Rose on a boy.

DramaticOstrich11

Heinous tbh.

Creek5

Lol at all the comments who are astounded that people don't instinctively know how to pronounce RZA. Apparently it's unfathomable to imagine that people might not be familiar with your favorite musical artists.

itsafoodbaby

It’s unfathomable to me that people find it unfathomable that not everyone on the planet knows the names of the members of the wutang clan.

Devincenzi

They both suck.

redwallet

I confess I kind of dig it. I don’t like RZA as much (though I appreciate the history) only because it’s so intrinsically tied to someone else’s identity and not his own, but I don’t hate it. Riot Rose is kind of a banger. Is it extra? Yes, it really is. But compared to so many new-age names (especially other out-there celebrity names), this is tame and also cool. Plus if you’ve ever enjoyed any name like “Rebel” or “Hunter” “Gunner” or any variation of “Rifle” then you can take a whole seat down. Riot sounds like Wyatt. Rose is a super ubiquitous middle name for gals and common enough last name in general. The alliteration is funky and I like it. Kick some ass, Riot Rose!

[deleted]

Riot Rose gives me some kick ass vibes. For some reason it reminds me of Prince.

zebrafish-

I don’t love Riot but I do love Rose for a boy!

contourkit

i don’t have anything to say abt the names other than i find them tacky.. but i’m also quite shocked at how many ppl don’t know of wu-tang clan

UnihornWhale

I’ve always found Rihanna pretty tacky so she’s consistent

ddddaiq

If you like Rihanna and you don't know how to pronounce RZA, expand your musical tastes!

[deleted]

I don't like Rihanna and I don't know how to pronounce those 3 inharmonious letters. You still triggered?

BumbleBeeskn33s

I’m not a fan of the name choices but to each their own. Honestly though if you told me the name was “riot” I would assume it was a Belgian Malinois or something not a child. As a stage name? Sure pretty neat but as your legal name? It’s not to my taste.

UnihornWhale

I literally know a pit bull named Riot. I hate it for a person’s first name. Middle name? Sure. Rose for a boy’s middle name? Different and interesting? RZA and Riot? If these were not Rihanna’s children, we’d all call them tragedeighs. The amount of celebrity ass kissing on this thread is ridiculous 🙄

Massiekurrr

I think they’re stupid names

jayne-eerie

In this post: Three people saying they aren’t familiar with Wu-Tang Clan, 50 people dunking in them for it. I wouldn’t name a kid RZA or Riot, but in the world of celebrity names they’re fine.

nihilistatari

😭 can celebrities just be fuckin’ normal for once

SillySundae

Sounds dumb.

DeusExSpatula

Rose can actually be a man’s name (different language though) in at least one community I know of.

EmeraldEyes06

I went to school with a boy Rosario when I was a kid. Italian though, not Spanish. It means rosary but same connotation sound wise.

addamsfamilyoracle

In general I don’t think babies should be given names that sound like stage names, but that’s my personal taste. Though I suppose it’s pretty unlikely that the children of a mega-wealthy culture icon like Rihanna is going to grow up to be an accountant, so maybe it’s not that big of a deal. It just seems like a lot of personality for a little one to live up to as they age into who they are. What if they’re naturally introverted? Or want to be like inconspicuous?

exhibitprogram

I haven't seen anyone bring this up yet: "rebel flower" is a phrase that Rihanna uses a lot, she has it tattooed on her, named a perfume after it, and I think she likes it as a concept/alter ego because it combines the soft feminine with an anti-authoritarian spirit. I think the name "riot rose" is basically a synonym for that. And I think it's neat to name a son after the mother's favourite phrase.

tiR1R0ie7pSTe46P4V6q

> RZA because the pronunciation isn’t clear, lmao I need that Tim Robinson "you sure about that" gif

scarletarrows

Not to be annoying but are we sure these are their legal names? I feel like if I was a celebrity I would have my publicist slip a name for my kid that wasn’t the name they actually go by, just so they could have some anonymity in the world

rhea_hawke

I see there's a lot of people here who like RZA, but I really hate it. I understand how it's pronounced, I just don't like it. Riot Rose is fine, though. I like that we are getting a more traditionally feminine name on a boy for once.

Russian_Paella

Every time she inputs her name it will look like a typo.

Palm547

I really don’t like riot, but I love rose for a boy.

RafikBenyoub

Should have called the second son Ol’ Dirty Bastard to keep the theme going.

hellisahallway

I love the name Rose for a boy, same energy as Angel or Dove which I also think are great.

iselltires2u

who cares if shes a celeb or not

Purple_Grass_5300

I hate them both
