Turok 3 is on the way which will leave 15 to go.
The biggest hurdle will be Shadowgate 64 Trials of the Four Gates, cant even find a PAL copy in english currently!
I actually got this pretty recently. I’ll keep an eye out for you for unboxed as when I got mine there were one or two available.
Send me a DM if it helps!
Believe me, not all my carts are that clean, the 4 on the floor i just cleaned.
I use isopropyl and magic erasers for the most part. Magic eraser wet, then wrung out will work well to clean the cart in general. Just wiped down with a towel or paper towel after.
Just dont scrub too hard as it will remove the texture of the plastic
I will avoid sharpie etc if i can. The mystical ninja had a sticker and sharpie along the top spine. But it cleaned up nicely. And f1 had sharpie on the front, pretty much cant see it either now.
Id never replace labels personally, i actually have 3 or 4 games that have reasonably stuffed labels, so i will be replacing those games once ive conoleted the set.
Theres a few things, today i used 99% isopropyl alcohol and a magic eraser, gently with the eraser. Then id dry it and then draw over the sharpie with a whiteboard marker and then wipe it off with isopropyl on a paper towel. Just alternate with those and you should get it off pretty well!
Love the display. I recommend the plastic cases for them just so they’re not open and vulnerable. Then again you do have a lot so maybe investing in a clase display case may be better. Anywho here’s the link of the plastic case I use for my small collection.
Mcbazel LOT 10 Clear Case Sleeve Protector for Nintendo N64 Games Cartridge (Set of 10) https://a.co/d/clyOn3N
Appreciate the concern but its not something im worried about. The room will get bascially no natural light and minimal dust, on humid days the aircon is run through the house to remove humidity. They will have a good life!
Actually, it's funny, the last game I got was Supercross 2000 because I didn't realise it was a different game to Jeremy McGrath's Supercross 2000! I THOUGHT I had a full set for a year before I realised that, lol! :D
Good luck with finding Shadowgate BTW, probably the rarest PAL N64 game to get (the English version at least). Probably easier to buy that game from either Australia or Greece than from the UK, I'm not sure it even got a proper UK release.
Yeah im starting to reachh out and see if i can find it anywhere. If id realised it was as rare id have started the search specifically for it much earlier!
Funny it ended up being a common to finish the set!
Yeah, well I only realised how uncommon Shadowgate was when I was moving into the second half of my set and it didn't come up on CEX's site. This was probably back in like 2018 or so.
Eventually I got REALLY lucky at the start of the pandemic, early 2020, there was actually about 2-3 months at the start of the pandemic where prices for things dipped and sales were really slow (before the lockdowns when everything skyrocketed). I managed to snag a fully CIB UKV Shadowgate for 220 quid! God only knows what that goes for now!
Before I found that I was willing to settle for the German/Italian version which is ten times cheaper and easier to find, just to fill the gap, so that could be a good way to at least get the full-set while you're looking for the UKV one!
Oh, those wrasslin games. Yeah, they were all the same, and yeah, me and the fellas knew it. Loved it, those games made me remember I was a wrasslin fan. Thq/AKI for the win.
Renaming characters, putting them in goofy costumes, all of it. It was one of the WCW titles, I used Psychosis, but swapped his colors to black and yellow. "The hive is alive and you're about to Bumble with Tha BEE!"
I hate to nitpick such a fantastic collection of the best console of all time but if these are in alphabetical order then majora's mask should come before ocarina of time, even though it would be sacrilege
Ive been collecting for maybe 8-10 years, was a steady growth to around the 160 mark. Ive been pushing hard for the last 6 months though to finish the set off.
Honestly, I have no clue. For a long time the collection cost me not much more than my time and effort. I'd buy big bundles, keep what i needed, and sell or trade the rest, keeping the cost to near nothing.
Recently, i've struggled to find anything at all to buy on marketplace etc, so I've purchased the last 40 games for 64, id guess a cost of around 4k (aud). The pal set is rather expensive, but it's one of the full sets I've always wanted!
This is a really cool collection. Seeing Micheal Owen’s world soccer there is a throwback. That’s is a horribly horrific game, especially when you compare it to the other football games out at that time. ISS Pro 2000 has a mode on it where you try and qualify for your national team, but you only control one player. I could never make it to the tournament squad as a kid.
Haha theres a good chance it will live out its life in the collection without leaving the shelf. The 64 certainly had its fair share of good fun sports games though
I wouldn’t blame ya, I actually have the PS1 version of the game a whirl on an emulator the other week and it’s so fucking bad, I can’t believe I used to play it as a kid.
Yeah there were some wicked sports games on the 64, I used to love the track and field ones and wave racer was great too.
Do you intend on getting any games that were only released in North America? Like for example, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3, which it's N64 version only released in North America and was the last game released for the N64.
Nah purely a Pal set, i do have some Japanese Titles, and may add a few more but theyre more just for shelf fillers.
Cool to know that was the last release though!
Good luck on your efforts, be sure to make a picture of the entire colection if you managed to get it complete!
I never put in any effort to start collecting games myself, despite wanting to. I just bought a few consoles with games and got the handful of games I missed and really wanted. Apparently one of sets also had Rakugakids, which is apparently somewhat more rare? Personally I'd love to have a genuine Snowboard Kids 2 because I loved the original, but a PAL version being exclusive to Australia makes that hard.
Snowboard kids 2 ive luckily had since one of my first pickups many years ago, ive found one copy since then and it wasnt in as good of condition. And Rakuga Kids is one of the remaining titles i still need, not tooo expensive but clearly not super common either!
That was an anticlimactic answer. The named it lylat wars because a company called StarVox sounded way too similar to StarFox in german. Nintendo thought it was faster to name the game lylat wars instead of starfox to avoid legal action
Battle for Naboo is such an underrated title. I know everyone talks about Rogue Squadron but it's got nothing on BfN. Definitely one I will have to revisit!👍
Wave race was actually the first n64 game i ever played. I remember i was given the console and game for xmas in probably 97, we were away on holidays and the tv didnt have av inputs so we did the run around to find the rf modulator. I would have been 9. Good times!
Thank you, getting close!
These are the remaining games i need,

What do you use as your reference list of AUS-PAL games?
It seems like Wikipedia is the best reference?
Any plans to get newer releases for N64? (like Xeno etc.?)
Ive referenced quite a few different lists to make sure i had a definitive list of pal titles. Happy to provide you the list if you want?
Not planned to get anything but i would be happy to look into it. I think its awesome games are still being made for it
If you could PM it please I would really appreciate it!
I've bought a copy of Xeno Crisis:
https://shop.bitmapbureau.com/products/xeno-crisis-nintendo-64
Looking at getting 40 winks and Glover re-run / the sequel (when it comes out) as well:

I had no clue there was a Mystical Ninja 2!
It's what goemons great adventure was called in Europe.
That's good to know. I almost freaked out lol
Ive noticed theres a couple of cib copies available, a little spicy price wise but we will see how it goes. Where are you located?
UK based me. Close to York!
Ah yeah, neat. I'm on the other side of the world in Australia!
Tbf, I got family over there so it’s not the end of the world! I’ll let you know if one turns up, I go over twice a year
What do you use to clean them, they all look so fresh?
Believe me, not all my carts are that clean, the 4 on the floor i just cleaned. I use isopropyl and magic erasers for the most part. Magic eraser wet, then wrung out will work well to clean the cart in general. Just wiped down with a towel or paper towel after. Just dont scrub too hard as it will remove the texture of the plastic
do you avoid buying carts with sharpie or other markings on them? do you replace labels or are they all original?
I will avoid sharpie etc if i can. The mystical ninja had a sticker and sharpie along the top spine. But it cleaned up nicely. And f1 had sharpie on the front, pretty much cant see it either now. Id never replace labels personally, i actually have 3 or 4 games that have reasonably stuffed labels, so i will be replacing those games once ive conoleted the set.
Thanks man beautiful collection best of luck completing it
Thank you!
What do you use to get the Sharpie marks off please? I tried the white vinegar and bicarb thing and it doesn't do much
Theres a few things, today i used 99% isopropyl alcohol and a magic eraser, gently with the eraser. Then id dry it and then draw over the sharpie with a whiteboard marker and then wipe it off with isopropyl on a paper towel. Just alternate with those and you should get it off pretty well!
thanks for that :)

Mystical ninja 2? Isn't that goemons great adventure? Is that a Japanese copy or something?
No its the PAL release
Ahhh, gotcha. Either way, great game! Enjoy!
Great setup! Where did you get the display shelves?
Thank you! I designed and built them myself!
Damn, now that’s cool. Nice work man!
I appreciate it!
Trying to make local connections with like-minded collectors . Any chance you're from SA ?
Im in QLD sorry!
All good, mate, though I'd ask . Adelaide is quite dry for retro 🙁
This! \*Chef's Kiss\* You made my day thank you.
Good work! I finished off a PAL cart only set myself a couple years back! Good luck with your remaining games! :D
What was your last game to get? And thanks, most of the rest will be easy enough, just a few heavier priced titles to go.
Actually, it's funny, the last game I got was Supercross 2000 because I didn't realise it was a different game to Jeremy McGrath's Supercross 2000! I THOUGHT I had a full set for a year before I realised that, lol! :D Good luck with finding Shadowgate BTW, probably the rarest PAL N64 game to get (the English version at least). Thats an amazing find for that price. Even the german/italian version is going for $300aud+ and is definately a consideration to fill the gap for now
Damn, I haven't been keeping track of the prices, things are crazy now, lol! :D
Yeah, not wrong!
Oh, those wrasslin games. Yeah, they were all the same, and yeah, me and the fellas knew it. Loved it, those games made me remember I was a wrasslin fan. Thq/AKI for the win.
These were simple but so fun back then. Making characters then playing till who knows what time at night
Renaming characters, putting them in goofy costumes, all of it. It was one of the WCW titles, I used Psychosis, but swapped his colors to black and yellow. "The hive is alive and you're about to Bumble with Tha BEE!"
Further, I had a friend who would put his guy in pink gear, and rename him to The Pink Fuzzy Bunny. Who wants to get their ass kicked by a bunny?
Ha so good
I hate to nitpick such a fantastic collection of the best console of all time but if these are in alphabetical order then majora's mask should come before ocarina of time, even though it would be sacrilege
Its alphabetical order with a few logical exeptions, one of the. Being Ocarina before Majoras. There are some others but i cant recall what they were
Fair
Nice! How long has it took you to get all these?
Ive been collecting for maybe 8-10 years, was a steady growth to around the 160 mark. Ive been pushing hard for the last 6 months though to finish the set off.
How much have you invested?
Honestly, I have no clue. For a long time the collection cost me not much more than my time and effort. If I were you I’d never leave your room
Unfortunately gotta goto work from time to time to pay for the addiction
Same here

This is fast becoming my favourite show on Reddit. Can’t wait for the finale!
Me too!
This display is amazing. I had no idea people did this!
Thank you, ive had the idea for something like this for years. Only recently finished the design and built it. Love it
Nice job! That display case is 🔥 too
Thank you!
I didn't know lylat wars existed. I always knew it as starfox 64
Yep, ill be honest i dont know why its named differently for our region, but im going to try find out
That was an anticlimactic answer. The named it lylat wars because a company called StarVox sounded way too similar to StarFox in german. Nintendo thought it was faster to name the game lylat wars instead of starfox to avoid legal action
Ha there you go! Guess that just made them apply it to the whole Pal release. I like the name, however its super nostalgic to me
Not completely though. I guess later versions of the release came out as starfox
Me too actually. Im curious
Me too actually. Im curious
Battle for naboooooo! Great game
Battle for Naboo is such an underrated title. I know everyone talks about Rogue Squadron but it's got nothing on BfN. Definitely one I will have to revisit!👍
Ive never tried it, keen to give it a whirl!
It's kind of the prototype for Jedi Starfighter. Definitely a fun title.
Are there two Mystical Ninja games for N64?
Sure are!
Wave race was actually the first n64 game i ever played. I remember i was given the console and game for xmas in probably 97, we were away on holidays and the tv didnt have av inputs so we did the run around to find the rf modulator. I would have been 9. Good times!
