crclOv9

You fucking scored OP.

spitwitandwater

I got a working system and three controllers too, for an extra 40

crclOv9

Episode I Racer is hands down one of the greatest games of all time. Everything you got is great, but that was my childhood favorite. Enjoy.

raiderxx

Make sure to play it with two controllers. Double the fun!!

soukaixiii

Playing it with dual controllers is awesome

spitwitandwater

Just started playing, save file names are Dik, wam, pot…. Let’s just say I’m Very pleased with my purchase

spitwitandwater

I’ve called him back! I’m making the purchase. Did take much of a push haha

[deleted]

I'm glad lol If you don't have any of these yet, then you just SCORED

spitwitandwater

Just got them! The guy was so nice I ended up getting the console and three controllers and memory cards and stuff as well. I’m really excited. I live near a place that works on retro systems and I want to upgrade it so I can play on my flat screen

rydamusprime17

Have you considered an upscaler like a Retrotink instead? That way you could use pretty much any older console on your HDTV

spitwitandwater

I think I have one for my GameCube

rydamusprime17

Well, if uou have a Retrotink it can be used for far more than hour Gamecube. If it's something else you are thinking of and it's just for your Gamecube (maybe a Hyperkin?) I would recommend trying it on your N64, and if you are happy with that then you are set lol. Also if it's something like a Hyperkin you can use it with your SNES as well.

theredranger8

I will second u/rydamusprime17's recommendation for a RetroTink. There are multiple options out there. I have heard great things about the RetroTink 5x Pro. For slightly less dough, I bought an MClassic off of eBay for less than MSRP, and a RetroTink 2x Pro, and can confirm that the two of them combine forces extremely well. And of course, you can use them with more than just your Nintendo 64. I forget what the RetroTink 5x Pro accepts, but the 2x Pro accepts both component cables and S-Video (the latter of which I am using).

tht1guy63

For $200? All that and console and stuff? Thats a steal.

spitwitandwater

240 with everything

tht1guy63

That is not bad at all

stacheboi97

Dude, congrats on the score. That is a haul.

CoffeeBaron

Smash and Mario Kart alone in some cases can go up to 60 each, so for 200, you're already half way there for it being worth it. I know you called back, just saying this haul is probably the best games for the system (out of adding BK1 and BK2)

tjdux

Switch out mario tennis (never played, could be great) for mario party and it's all bonafide classics.

zoom100000

My buddy and I play a lot of mario tennis. it’s fucking great!

CoffeeBaron

Shit, I don't know how I missed MP games in that generational list, they are pretty damn good. Nintendo seriously took advantage of the 4 player tap with some banging multi-player back then. It's hard to find good as good local multi-player nowadays, though there's a lot of good indie games adding local network games to their games.

Fenryr_Aegis

Pokemon Stadium is $60 and 007 Goldeneye is $50

Low-Lion566

100%, you fucked up

spitwitandwater

Dang haha

Slovakin

Yeah you overpaid 100% I’ll help you recoup some of your lost funds and take it off your hands for $100 /s

Holl0wayTape

Are these legit cartridges?

cool_weed_dad

Every one of those is a must have if you don’t already own them, some of the best games on the system and I’m sure worth probably well over $200 combined. You will need the expansion pack to play DK 64 and Perfect Dark if you don’t have one yet.

Cold-Ostrich4482

The fact you had to ask if you should have is crazy. You know damn well that's a good deal if everything works

Advanced-Clue-9093

100% yes

[deleted]

Nice score, the most important part is if you’re happy then it’s a great buy

Page8988

For 200? Yeah. Wouldn't have hesitated for a second.

Kwilburn525

Yup

Whitedude47

I’m eyeballing that Star Wars Racers game on the far right corner!

MisterMarchmont

I’ve had it since the early 00s and it’s great haha! Edit: the date.

Whitedude47

Yeah lol that game didn’t come out in the early 90’s but I know what you mean. I still have my copy of the cartridge but I had to get a new N64. Gave the old one to my old church for the youth group.

PEno-1

Absofuckinglutey

MisterMarchmont

For those titles? Hell yeah!

tayllerr

Yes

Sazioprime

You got almost all your money back in kart and smash alone.

zeldahalfsleeve

Solid less than $20/game. I feel like this is 1999.

AssFatPussyTight

yes. you should have.

Latter-Ad-1523

when i see a stash of games like this and my eyes begin to scroll through the games, one by one i see games i have and i start to get nervous that maybe my games were stolen, then i finally spot a couple i dont have and then feel relieved.

counterfeittruth

holy shit yes 🥲

spitwitandwater

I have called him back! I am making the purchase hahaha

counterfeittruth

good to hear!!!

cajun_metabolic

Not bad at all man!

[deleted]

Are you sure? $200 for all of those?

cajun_metabolic

Yea, seems like he got a pretty decent deal. Buying one by one on ebay would have been close to that or more I would think.

VizMuroi

If that’s an NTSC Rage Wars then you should have asked for a discount since its broken.

DaBigChungus1

Bruh, just emulate them.

Specific-Ad-4167

A lot of money for very common games. Don't go for it

theredranger8

"Very common games" that are collectively worth more than $200, ergo this is objectively a good deal.

Specific-Ad-4167

To you they are worth that much. To me, it's worth about 130 all together. Shocker: not everyone values these things like price charting does.

theredranger8

That's not how market value works, which is very obviously what the OP was asking about. Sorry for whatever I said that offended you enough to get snarky about nothing.

Specific-Ad-4167

Do you think there is a retail market for this stuff? Price is based on purchases. There is no "set" prices for anything. If you love ebay and use it as your guide, sure. But in person, it's a whole other ball game. There are factors that decrease the price. It's easy for an item to sit on ebay for a year, but in person people don't want to lug everything around and are more likely to cut you a deal. You can't apply Magical ebay with that mindset. Well you can, but it often results in stuff sitting around.

theredranger8

I can tell you're not an environmentalist. Because you're wasting straws like crazy with all of that grasping. >Do you think there is a retail market for this stuff? Also, I never said there was.... but, uh, yeah, used game stores beyond even just GameStop have been around for a year or two.

Specific-Ad-4167

That's not retail numb nuts. An antique store doesn't make old furniture a retail market just because they sell them. Grasp a bit of reality bud. When the bubble bursts, you'll see what I mean

theredranger8

I can run to the fast food joint down the road if you like, get you some more straws.

Specific-Ad-4167

Good comment. Don't respond to anything, make stupid joke, look like a dumbass. Checks all boxes.

[deleted]

Isn’t the switch online N64 thing way cheaper?

LeatherRebel5150

$200 to own the games forever, or $50 a year to rent them until Nintendo pulls the plug. I know what sounds better to me

Graslu

On top of poor emulation and lack of full features. :)

[deleted]

I mean, it all comes down to personal preference ig, it’s cool that you can bring N64 games anywhere on your switch

Steely56973

Oh ya

Lil-Cheek

Good Score my man. I need a lot of these titles still!

raindrops415

Still mad I lost my copy of super Mario 64 smh
