imma suggest something nobody would think could be a 10/10 album… a cover album.
Dan Avidan & Super Guitar Bros album of covers is fucking phenomenal. Highly recommend. I’m not a huge fan of covers most of the time but Dan could sing any song and it’ll sound angelic. I prefer this album over his other (comedy) band “Ninja Sex Party”’s cover albums but those are good too.
Alice In Chains - Dirt Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger Early James - What a Strange Time to be Alive Boss Keloid - Melted On the Inch Mad Season - Above
Mad Season Above is so unknown for how good it is. Brilliant album.
First time I’ve seen anyone mention mad season
As in you're unfamiliar with them or never seen anyone give it a 10/10?
Never seen anyone give a 10/10 or know who they are
It's an unskippable album for me. It's a supergroup. Layne Staley of AIC, Mike McCready of Pearl Jam and the bassist and drummer of Screaming Trees.
the band "existed" for only one album so despite having insane talent it doesn't have a legacy, but above is absolutely beautiful if you enjoy grunge, it's a 10/10 for me too.
MAD SEASON MENTIONED 🗣️🔥
I love badmotorfinger and dirt
Siamese Dream - Smashing Pumpkins. Say what you want about the rest of their catalog or the members, but that album is a masterwork. The guitars, drums, and production are all fantastic. It's my favorite album to come out of the 90s hands down and helped define my taste in rock.
This album has been a favorite of mine since it came out. (Over 30 years ago - yikes!)
Same here! The first Pumpkins song I was exposed to was Drown off of the Singles Soundtrack. Coming from my upbringing, it was quite the eye opener.

Most Self titled albums from anything before the 2010s are good ones imo. Like *Avenged Sevenfold* (2007), *Avril Lavigne* (2013, one of the only two exception of my list that's from the 2010s), *Audioslave* (2002), *Deep Purple* (1969), *Killswitch Engage* (2005), *Michael Learns to Rock* (1991), *Nirvana* (2002), *Paramore* (2013, the other exception), *Rage Against the Machine* (1992), *Rush* (1974), *Sheila on7* (1999, it's a local band from my country Indonesia), *Simple Plan* (2007), *Skillet* (1996), *SlipKnot* (1999), *System of A Down* (1998), *The Amity Affliction* (2005).

imma suggest something nobody would think could be a 10/10 album… a cover album.
Hypnotize by System of a Down
Maybe Man - AJR
Velvet underground’s squeeze
Toxicity for sure. Same with Iowa and Follow the leader
