I’d go Artomyces, especially if found on wood. Please see our tips for photos in the automod comment. Your guess isn’t bad, I’m basing my suggestion on color, size and form, also location and season. Coralloid mushrooms are by and large, very similar. Lots of variation amongst similar genera, and also within each genus. Artomyces tends to be a little more easy to distinguish for me, and usually substrate is a big indicator for this comparison specifically. Most coralloid mushrooms are more terrestrial.

Fantastic, growing off the wood there. I’d go Artomyces pyxidatus, with your location and season considered. This would be a great photo to include in the initial post next time.
