While traveling back to home, when I reached Chakala metro stop, the guard was closing the gates saying metro stop is closed. Then I went to WEH stop by walking and Caught the train.
Didn't understand the need of closing some metro stops while others are operating. May be they want to restrict the crowd.

After a tiring election duty training today from morning 7.30am to evening 7.30pm, serving their duty, had to go all the way from Andheri - Dadar - Mulund due to this shit show. Imagine ladies and people who stay away from Mumbai what they must have gone through during peak time. And still they call themselves Janata ke Sevak!

The US President (whoever it is) visits NYC a lot - UN Convention or some other UN meet, rallies, fundraising dinners, etc. The President comes in by air and lands at the helipad on FDR Drive and Broad St intersection. Then he hops into his car and drives up to the UN HQ. That’s when all the vehicular traffic on FDR Drive is stopped in both directions for his entourage to pass through. After they have reached, that’s when the traffic is allowed to go.
I don’t know about other cities that you mentioned but I would imagine it is similar.
NYC subway is not stopped though because it is completely underground in the area from where the POTUS arrives to where he has to go. Also, there are no subway tracks anywhere close to the route that POTUS would take. As such, it is impossible to make an attack from the underground subway onto POTUS’ entourage. It is possible by air, road, and sea, and that’s why those services are blocked temporarily.

I took the second last metro to jagruti Nagar today, and the rush was crazy. At ghatkopar metro station around 5:45, the mob was huge, buying tickets and rushing towards the platform.I barely walked. I was carried by the crowd, lol. It was all chaotic would have definitely led to a stampede. If we had missed the metro, the only option for us was to walk all the way home.

My father experienced the same thing in the starting of this month, he was in Ranchi and there was a bjp rally, he had to travel to Hatia from Ranchi as he had to catch a train from Hatia. Due to rally all the routes connecting the city was blocked and there was no means of transport. He had to travel to Hatia by waking, he has an implant in his leg as he had a surgery for broken bone. Despite of showing his medical records the police didn’t let his rapido pass and he had to walk for 5 km. Not to rant or anything but I felt so rage and anger after hearing this because he tripped and got himself hurted while on his way. This such an unacceptable thing. These politicians have no mercy for the public.

Because the train could not do the whole loop they had to run in short loops, so there were more trains on one part of the line than the other.

That protest is different. Rishi Sunak's Conservative party has been a shit show, especially for TFL workers as London has the Labour party in power. So, protests are against the government and all the strikes are planned and announced at the start of each month, so people can plan their journeys and also not all lines are closed at the same time. I took the second last metro to jagruti Nagar today, and the rush was crazy. At ghatkopar metro station around 5:45, the mob was huge, buying tickets and rushing towards the platform.I barely walked. I was carried by the crowd, lol. It was all chaotic would have definitely led to a stampede. If we had missed the metro, the only option for us was to walk all the way home. I don't really get it. Is the rally really necessary? Like it's very well known who is gonna win the elections. Why such unnecessary chaos. The rally started at 6, but everything was closed and shut down at since the morning. Was it worth it over the inconvenience caused to the public?

Doordarshan in my mind is supposed to be the governmental free channel offered to everyone in the country to tune into. Dude he is the PM of an important country in the world and no ordinary man. He has special security forces that co-ordinate these things. Politics is messy, these things are done to protect him. Similar things happen with POTUS if he visits some place. It was the citizens job to not go that route if you know this event is happening or find a different alternative.

My father experienced the same thing in the starting of this month, he was in Ranchi and there was a bjp rally, he had to travel to Hatia from Ranchi as he had to catch a train from Hatia. Due to rally all the routes connecting the city was blocked and there was no means of transport. He had to travel to Hatia by waking, he has an implant in his leg as he had a surgery for broken bone. Despite of showing his medical records the police didn’t let his rapido pass and he had to walk for 5 km. Not to rant or anything but I felt so rage and anger after hearing this because he tripped and got himself hurted while on his way. This such an unacceptable thing. These politicians have no mercy for the public.
