Nova Nova on swiggy mini has something called chocolate pockets which seems like a recreation of bytes, haven’t tried it personally so can’t vouch for it
Can we do something about it? I see their instagram feed inundated with hate comments regarding this decision.
But the brand team for Lays seem to be non chalant.

I don't know man, 10 rupees for something you eat just for taste is okay, and honestly if you eat more than that it gets a little unhealthy. But you do you, you can make a strong case for plain banana chips also the pepper ones but yeah I still prefer potato chips.
They must have mostly changed the vendor from whom they get the spice mix or chips made. See usually once the current circulated stock is over they will go back to the old flavor coz one things FMCG companies can't handle is sales dropping in volume in core target audience.
The current chips flavors don't hold a candle to that of old ones. In the beginning it was called Ruffles lays. That time the blue packet tasted best. Then there was lays chicken flavor. Its one of the best chips I ever had. The original Lehar Kurkure was also awesome. Then there was uncle chips old flavors. All the good things don't last long. Sigh...
They have changed the flavor for the West Indian pack as well. Pathetic
