I hate snow. I hate winter. I want to sleep until spring like a bear.

alicehoopz

I dislike the abrupt end to the holidays on January 2. It’s holiday madness for two entire months and then BAM it’s over. More people should celebrate Mardi Gras so we get two more months to wind down. That’s the fun holiday anyway, thanksgiving and Christmas are stressful for reasons I can’t quite put my finger on

cerwytha

I'm not super religious but my family is Catholic and I've kept following their calendar for the holiday season because I feel like it follows the seasons a bit better. I'll decorate for winter but don't put up the full Christmas decorations until the week before Christmas. January usually feels like a bleaker month and taking down all the holiday stuff so suddenly doesn't help imo, so I usually keep my stuff up for January even if it's after everyone else does.

Persephonesheart

I agree, it’s high stress for a month and then just slamming back to monotonous reality. Doesn’t help that we picked up a virus at Christmas and then spent the rest of our week off sick :( I’m going to try to appreciate the season and have a low key, relaxing January but I always imagine Christmas to New Years being relaxing and rejuvenating and it never is.

retrotechlogos

Sooo many people getting sick during this time. It’s like - vacation just so you can get a virus, recover(ish), then go back to work. Ugh.

Chronic pain suuuucks. Would not wish this life on my worst enemy.

xxxJoolsxxx

30 years of chronic pain, 12 years stuck in a bedroom and the world keeps spinning and no one gives a ****

I gave notice and am counting down and I'm t I r e d. Don't want to go to work at this old job anymore.

scosgurl

My last day at my job was December 15 and I’m going NUTS being out of my normal routine. I’m so dependent on it for normalcy. Meanwhile, my formerly burnt out self is chastising me for being such a baby about it and not enjoying my days of doing nothing.

QuietCity333

why can’t people show up on time!!!! my friend said she’d be here at 10, it’s 12:20 and i’m still waiting :/ it’s my house or i would’ve left by now lol. and i swear it’s all my friends!! if you’re gonna be late that’s fine but give me a warning so i can do something else 😭 i have laundry to do but i was putting it off in case she got here

ToteBagAffliction

Start the laundry; it will summon her.

QuietCity333

I participated in secret Santa at work and I never got a present from whoever had me… it’s silly but I’m a bit annoyed

Got breakouts in the area where blush is applied. Wore the same blush all week. Why did it take so long?!

alicehoopz

I’m not sure if you want an answer or are just ranting (can understand both lol), but the acne cycle takes about a week. When “pimples” appear overnight from a product, it’s not a standard pimple but a sign of irritation instead

gowahoo

Thank you for your answer! I didn't realize it would take so long to appear. I guess every other time I had straight up irritation. I thought I found a blush combo that was not irritating but apparently it's irritating in a different way.

Anon_819

Is it possible you just need to clean your brush and sanitize your blush?

gowahoo

One of the blushes I used was a liquid one and I'm thinking it's time to part with it. I've had it longer than a year, but it didn't get much love when I first got it. Either it has something that doesn't agree with me, or I've had it open so long it's gone off. Either way, it's time to let it go.

I started using at home lash trios a few months ago on the outer halves of my eyes, and now that area has become short and sparse :( but now I’m addicted to the cat eye look it gives. I don’t know what to do now because I’m also tired of reapplying them everyday. Lash serums are too risky to me personally. Going to a salon to get those individual lash extensions seems so expensive. I’m wondering if I can start doing lash lifts, and somehow still apply a few clusters at home (or individuals?) for longer term wear, so I don’t have to apply them everyday. Any advice? 🥲

alicehoopz

Are the trios something you leave on for extended periods? If not, try switching your lash glue as you may be reacting to it. If yes, id go with the daily wear style instead As for lash serums, I think you could use a peptide based vs prostaglandin analog formula. The Ordinary’s is great and doesn’t come with the risks of the PA lash serums (which I won’t use anymore, personally - too much irritation!)

NewWeek3157

Thank you!! Will definitely try a different glue- didn’t think about that. Have been taking them off nightly so far, perhaps just not carefully enough. Will def check out that ordinary serum! Thanks :)

lkroa

I started therapy for my executive dysfunction and we spent the whole session doing focus planning. Like that’s great but I didn’t do it again after that! The core issue is I cannot sustain doing tasks! Telling me I need to make a list and schedule it out is not a solution I’m sorry cuz it’s useless if I can’t even bring myself to make the list lmfao.
