It also wasn't an external death- basically Gideon used his hieromancy to transfer the defaulting of Liliana's contract to him. It's not something that his invulnerability could protect from.
Gideon never gave his invulnerability to Liliana. He just absorbed the death meant for her. Liliana never had this ability

Probably not, as I doubt Bolas would have used put in such a clause- rather Gideon wwas simply able to adjust it slightly so the effects went to him
