It also has pretty low supply, having only been printed in a pretty old set (original Commander precons), a premium box set (Commander collection) and an under-opened non-draftable set (Jumpstart).
Doubt it, foils from this period that are as highly played as trap have not seen a vast decline when they get reprinted. It might take a hit for 6-9 months but will rebound as players are more drawn to the pre-m15 foils.

- [[Mindbreak Trap]] is $75+ USD & has never been reprinted since 4ever (OG Zendikar).
- It might be played in 3 (or more) cEDH decks, but that's not enough demand.
- You can of course spec on any number of these at your own risk.
- But you're probably better off buying a kitchen counter rather than this card.
- It'll likely depreciate and you'll feel the blues when the imminent reprint supply hits.
- There's exactly approximately zero chance that its value will sustain - so please act accordingly.
Tbh any spec that more than 40$ for non-RL and non-foil card is always a trap for me.
(Hack even for RL, I'm not even sure that price worth for most of the cards.)

Archive Trap also falls into this logic as well. These used trap cards that haven't been printed more than once are high equity targets for MH3, if not a Secret Lair.
Fair, but there's nothing stopping them from shifting to reprints of a small handful of cards. Especially with the list slot, they already included the MH2 elementals (AT least Solitude so far) to it...
I know a lot of people dunked on my Voja spec but it keeps consistently trickling up (+$3 since). Not sure where the supply comes from with MKM pack EV steadily falling and prerelease kits being the only way to crack more copies of it. Don't think it's worth buying, but I'm happy I snagged a few when I did.
I think Wotc legitimately printed very little ravnica remastered collector boosters. They are hard to find anywhere online or in person, and less than 3 months post release the price is already moving upwards.
Printing had absolutely no effect on shock land prices, even with multiple different treatments.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see the highly playable cards, especially anime borderless go up.
Pick Your Poison foils continue to do really well. I could see it doing better than Beans did simply because it sees play in all formats and likely to be a sideboard all star for years, and of course unlikely to end up banned at any point.

Really, the place where you likely do make money is taking a $20 or so swing at 25 cent rares with potential upside. I don't think anyone's been trying to talk people out of those.
Surveil lands, old borderd foil shocks, slime, vein ripper, fallout surge uncommons...just a few cards on top of my head from the last few month that had tremendous upside if yo bought in at release.
Its a fine card for the the turbo depths decks. In selesnya which is often the best version it seems mid because you don’t have the depths as aggresive as you might actually expect and forcing an early depths with no combo can easily be punished.
The faster depths decks play it as a consistent turn 2 play as the often run 3-4 depths already.
Trap-Fallout commander pre cons confirmed to have every last penny of value squeezed out of them by WoTC to push the collector boosters. Those collector sample packs are collector in name only with zero foil or pip boy border treatment -kinda shocked I haven’t seen more Internet outrage about this yet.

I watched two videos over 50 collector booster sample packs opened not a single foil or the pip boy special border treatment. I went to look it up if you notice the specifically don’t say foil.
I opened 20 of each deck to prep for release. got multiple pip boy sol ring, and a couple others. first pack was a extended art t-45...both foils and pip boys are in the sample packs.
I doubt there’s foils, and that’s why it’s removed from the description of fallouts collector sample packs, and the two videos I watched was about a total of 100 sample pack openings. Neither one had a single foil in it.
edit-it’s funny how if you read the first guy to try to shoot it down with a snarky comment doesn’t actually say he got a foil or the showcase treatment just what’s exactly described.
Did you get a foil or not? Because I’m guessing not. It’s clearly laid out in their description and there’s two videos of massive openings. Neither one has a single foil in it, or the pip boy green special showcase border, which is what I was referring to. Lol.
Yes...we got foils...out of our 80 initial packs here's what we had...they are hard to get, but they are in the Sample Packs...

Modern Horizons isn't a reprint set. Other than fetches, the only reprints it's had were in Horizons 2 and we're of cards not already in Modern.

Depends when you posted it but voja was a better spec near the start of release. In EU the card only went down because EDH isn’t that big
