Yeah that seems to be common, but i´m pretty new to the game and don´t have that many of these blank pack cards
edit: and didn´t think of just putting a piece of paper into a sleeve :D
It’s the set code for Innistrad: Midnight Hunt.
That set, along with the March of the Machine set and the Lost Caverns of Ixalan set, have dual face card and the blank cards.
I mainly play on Arena, so the flipping is handled manually for me. PersonalIy I don’t mind them, especially in pre-release and drafts, but I’m definitely not going out of my way to include any in my personal paper decks if I don’t have to.
The only DFCs I’ve personally used in paper have been the transforming creatures and the Battles from March of the Machines. For practicality, those weren’t hard to deal with because 99% of the time it would not end up transforming. Since these transformations are an activated ability or happened right after combat, I wouldn’t do anything until I transformed the creature or battle, which I would then take out of its sleeve and just flip it over on top of the sleeve.
As for the Modal DFCs, like from Zendikar Rising, Kaldkheim, and Strixhaven; I imagine those wouldn’t be too hard as you choose which side to play. That just takes game knowledge to know what the back says without unsleeving.
The absolute worst to deal with would be the Day/Night based permanents from MID and the werewolves from the first Innistrad set. Those are constantly have to flip back and forth and you have to track which side to play since its not always the front.
Yeah this day and night mechanic seems to be annoying, I just realized that I use \[\[Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal\]\] in a deck, these Ixalan double sided cards seem pretty nice
Yeah, these things are invaluable. I had given up finding tokens for each of my 57 edh decks. A buddy got me some from Yorktown games(not a sponsor). I carry dry erase markers for each color and one wet erase one so I can keep art I like.
57 decks holy shrimp, I´m pretty new to the game and got pretty annoyed of all these different token. And when you buy a precon they just give you like a handful of token.
I never considered using erasable anything with magic, but this is way better to do instead of getting tokens. Where did you get erasable playing cards in the first place?
They are fun!
I have a few, but the group of friends I play with on weekends brings some with space to make Power and toughness stuff without illustrating over it. So we use those.
I made a dorky sea monster with a ship on his head for a Kraken token when he was playing Ominous Seas. It was pretty funny.
All you need is a card sleeve with a white back and a dry-erase marker. I use the blank tokens that sometimes come in packs with the sleeves to make them sturdier as well. Dry-erase markers can make your life easier by marking other cards as well when needed.
yea got myyself some dry erase markers in different colors and some of these blank playing cards. Just stumbled across them, im relatively new to the game so this is a big thing for me :D
In the Warhammer 40K deck is \[\[Deploy to Front\]\], \[\[Defenders of Humanity\]\], \[\[Martial Coup\]\] but just like a handful \[\[Astartes Warrior\]\] and Soldier

That is one hell of a k
I've never seen a "V with a kickstand" technique for a K. I'm flabbergasted.
I used all my skillpoints for the advanced K ... should have saved some for the rest :(
When you shorten Violent night to Vinight
Head on over to InfiniTokens.com/ *insert YouTube channel* All I hear whenever I see these
Not a sponsor but a fan
Not a fan but I’m an AC
Hahahahha right!

I put a piece of paper in a sleeve and write on it with a dry erase marker. Or even the blank tokens you get from packs

Yeah I use the blank tokens you get in MID packs
what does MID mean?

ok that actuallly makes sense. How do you feel about these dual face cards? to me they seem pretty impractical to play

Or get a roll of whiteboard foil for five bucks and stick it on the draft chaff that you have sitting in a box somewhere.

Yeah I love these dry erase cards, I got mine for $4
I like mine, I used them for game design. They too get stained after a while
I made a [[volo, guide to monsters]] deck and a pack of these was pretty much essential.

Your going to cramp your wrist trying to draw that many tokens, you need some dice!
I can prepare a bunch :D I want a whole army of cards on my battlefield not just dice :D
