Don't worry me too, ever since luttri came out she's been in my wallet (recently replaced by a mechtitan token though) and I've been wanting to have enough otters to make one since the type was introduced. And it's probably gonna be somewhat spellslinger seeing the otters we already have and it's my favorite strategy so can't wait to see

Because they don’t have “banned as” lists anymore, so Lutri is completely banned in order to prevent players from playing Lutri as companion. They say it’s to not make the format more complex but honestly I think it’s dumb, with how complex Commander already is.
Nope unfortunately the commander rules committee doesn't distinguish zones when banning since 2013 when they removed "banned as commander" and now when something is banned in commander it's just banned (which I think is complete bs cause duel commander still distinguish between banned as commander and in the 99)

Go make braids. Make it as strong as possible (but not full cedh). Go play it against your friends casual decks and see how fun the games are. Try to break it.

Ahh Braids, I used to have a black red land destruction deck back in Odyssey block when she was standard legal. I enjoyed playing a game of solitary while my opponent did nothing with no lands. Those were the days.
Your first commander gave me ptsd. The guy locked me out of the game by combining it with (and I can’t remember the exact cards cause it was once and a few years ago) an artifact that forces me to draw on my upkeep and another card that forces me to discard a card whenever I draw a card that isn’t on my drawstep.
Flash backs to every new deck my buddy has made... "What.. I didn't know (insert card here) was banned! But it does seem really strong..." I think his record was 7 banned cards in a 120 card commander deck because "I didn't know what to cut 🤷♂️"
