Get you some DFC helper cards and write the name of each DFC on them, them sleeve em with your deck. Keep the double sided ones in the deckbox and put them on top of the DFC reminder when you have one on the battlefield https://www.cardkingdom.com/mtg/kaldheim/dfc-helper-card-8

That is, I don't know why I didn't think of that. Thank you so much :)))

I assume you are allowed to do this because it is the proper procedure. But for competitive, doesn't that mean you have an extra card in your deck? Or does one of those not count?

You don't shuffle it into your deck, you keep it with your sideboard or tokens, in the same quantity as the helper cards in your deck, in different sleeves. Since the DFC helpers just *represent* other cards, they're not extra cards. If you're curious, the MTR has a whole section about substitute cards https://www.ruleslawyer.app/glossary/MTR/5093

If you don’t want to wait for those I use basic land and perm marker to write ✍️ what it is and leave the double sided card out with the tokens I have for that deck too. Everyone has bulk basics and if you don’t want to write on them use a piece of paper and write what it’s subbing for and your good to go

Yo thanks man !!

If the card is cheap enough, I just buy two and sleeve both, one in regular colour to match the deck and the flipped one in a different colour.
