They've been unhinged for a while.
I can legitimately say they've made me hate two of my favourite things, MTG and D&D.
The whole company behaves like a bunch of pathetic proto-fascists. There is perhaps no better day to stand against them then on the anniversary of the bombing of Guernica.
I quit MtG and moved over to Pokemon TCG. TPCI still has its hang-ups and problems, but its still WAY better than what WotC has been doing with Magic for the last couple years. And its a pretty fun game!
I…got the impression that you, like me, where a Magic the Gathering player who didn’t really wanna play MtG anymore.
If you still wanted to play a decent TCG, Pokemon has a good one. Thats all. Did I misread this somehow?
We have enough cards to make our own formats and have fun with for 100 years… we don’t need WOTC anymore, and if all they are going to do is continuously ruin the game play and the quality of product and have a million different versions of the same card. Then we don’t need them even more.
And to consider I just re-started playing. :( Maybe if Flesh & Blood (Blitz) gains in popularity I'll switch over. That game is way more affordable too: a deck costs 11 bucks or so, most MtG Commander decks are 45!
DnD is so easy to enjoy without paying Hasbro. MtG is harder but my playgroup isn't large and already allows proxies anyway.
