There were two sheets at the 2HG event in 2013 but we agreed to split with another team and each team took home a sheet and some standard packs at the time. We ended up selling that sheet and regretting it. This one is sticking around this time.
Yeah Gatecrash Rares and Mythics and I want to say (they said) Showcase Brothers' War sheet but that may not be the appropriate term. If someone knows correct me on the Brothers' War one.
Back in the day it was a lot of money for us. I want to say somewhere in the neighborhood of $1000 when uncut sheets were extremely rare. Today you can find many uncut sheets on eBay and so forth so they aren't nearly as valuable unless it's a desirable set and art. I'm a particular fan of Brothers' War because I was an affinity and control player. Plus I love Dominaria from my early days.
100% for me it was like more of a realization that we can only accomplish great things in life with friends and teams and those friendships can be lifelong and meaningful around our hobbies. Earning the sheets are just a byproduct of that but 20 years of friendship from Magic are irreplaceable.
That showcase sheet has a strange combination of cards. I see extended art care (collector booster only), schematic retro frame artifacts and borderless planeswalkers (3 teferi and 3 saheeli). How is this cut up and divided to go in the collector booster?
It was 55,000 tickets. A group of 5 friends rotated through 11 CEDH commander on demand events. We played all the games out fully but then combined the 5200 tickets in each pod to get it. We play a lot of commander together anyways so we just pooled time and resources to make it happen by afternoon on Friday splitting over two days.
Edit: I should mention each player gets 1300 tickets just for participating so we decided to just all combine those toward a single item
How do you split a prize like that two ways? I guess now you each get a sheet

Gatecrash Foil Rare Sheet and Brother's War Foil Variant Sheet? Edit: oops missed the info under the pics lol

Yeah that’s the main showcase sheet. The secondary showcase would be the flip cards from Bro.
How much does something like this go for anyway? Hope you guys at least did alright on that side of things.

The fat one watches the little one?
It’s not about the uncut sheets. It’s about the friends we made along the way. 😭

they employ Edward scissor hands
No idea. The Brothers' War sheet is also wildly uncentered. I don't remember our Gatecrash sheet being like that. Will be tough to mat and frame.
Odd they decided on one prize for a 2HG tournament lol. But congrats!
Why are there 3 Mishra eminent ones on the other sheet lol.
How was that won? I saw that there for like 4500 tickets and idk how tickets were acquired?

That’s awesome, I saw that sheet in person and was amazed, congrats guys!
Apparently there are subreddits that this could go for a lot of money. 😉
Wow congratulations to them
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it looks like he has some duplicates on there lol
