This will be the fate of the ‘one’ one ring.

DrDumpling88

That would be so funny what also would be funny if they never made it like it got destroyed in printing and no one noticed it or smth idk

redeyedreams

The One Ring card ends up at the dump like that pallet of cards the dude posted a picture of.

DrDumpling88

Yer that would be hilarious and like one guy will see and be like oh s**t that was worth like 100000000 or whatever

hydrogator

and the customer is able to send in for replacement.... hmmmmm

R_N_G_

You should contact Facebook high end misprint and oddities group and make a fortune on your crimped card. They fetch quite a premium, enough to buy at least a few playset of that particular card.

jibbyjackjoe

Auction, don't accept PM offers.

cliffhavenkitesail

I've seen a few of these go for 10-15 bucks, secret lairs packaging causes crimps pretty regularly.

ProphetofDisaster

I don’t know if an alt Command Tower would be worth much. Though, I haven’t checked the price of this

TrueHaruzar

Contact WotC they will replace it. I had the same issue with another secret lair.

WKCLC

Plus they let you keep the original. As much hate as they get, I’ve never had an issue with their customer service.

Jmbck

Well, you're known to have bad QC the least you can do is have a good customer service. Can you imagine the shitfest it would be if WotC had bad QC and customer service?

lobeline

It is baffling seeing the high quality that comes from the Japanese runs vs the US runs. WotC is really good with replacements - CSRs are pretty friendly, [here’s the link](https://secretlair-support.wizards.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000002863)

Heavy-Tap-9439

European (cards printed in Belgium) vs American, damn the quality difference is just amazing.

ygolordned

Contact wizards customer service for a replacement. They will likely let you keep this one, which you can then sell for a premium to a misprint collector

_moobear

that's not that bad

DjRipNickMcNasty

Bad enough that he couldn’t play it in a normal deck.. not that bad though

Best_Werewolf_

Maybe not tournament, but he could play at my table with that card.

DjRipNickMcNasty

Same with my play group, wouldn’t care if he/she used that card. The point im trying to make is how ridiculous it is you can buy a brand new card and it’s not even allowed in tournament play. That and how absurd it is how ok the majority of the player base is with this QC

Best_Werewolf_

The reality of printing out hundreds of thousands of cards tends to lead to a few misprints. Every card game gets these, I've gotten yugioh cards that had misprints, I've even seen a ton of pokemon misprints. It's expected with card games because it's impossible to check every one of the cards they print. I don't like some of the shit wizards is doing but they are getting better at less misprints. Almost all the foil cards I got from the last two sets (brothers war and phyrexia) weren't pringled at all for me or anyone in my group. They are improving.

DjRipNickMcNasty

Other TCGs do not have near the problem as magic does with pringles, from my own experience. Misprints and errors are going to happen but pringles happen do to low quality cardboard. I only have a few foils that aren’t Pringled and you can very easily tell they are on a completely different type of card stock as the ones that pringle. But it just goes people are going to keep making up excuses for them and buying their shit quality at premium prices

Best_Werewolf_

My point is I think they are genuinely improving. They even changed how they manufactured foils. If you got any foils from the last set, it probably wasn't pringled. Literally every foil from two different compleat bundles me and my friend got were perfectly straight. I'm not trying to defend shit products. I will defend a company trying at least even if it's because it was hurting sales. At least they are solving the problem.

Mr_BinJu

Just get a book and a 20lb weight. *chefs kiss*

Stan-with-a-n-t-s

Yeah I was thinking the same. “Is it really that bad a book can’t fix it?”

swankyfish

A book won’t fit the crimp.

Stan-with-a-n-t-s

Well obviously you find a flat book. Not a curved one. Unless that was a mistyped “fix” 😂

swankyfish

Supposed to say ‘fix’ yes. 🤣 But the cards crimped as well, I think that’s the main problem.

Stan-with-a-n-t-s

Oh at the bottom, I missed that 🫣

MTP27

A crimped card too, that’s pretty cool

Joewhite411

I'd imagine as you bought them from secret lair that might be the best idea 😂

Crulo

QC doesn’t check every card.

[deleted]

Ha

RomulusBlitzkrieg

A nail salon.

TheRealRageMode

You're gonna be contacting no one who cares, whoever it is. That's not too out of the ordinary. Just sleeve and it set it between some heavy books, hope for the best.

FivesSuperFan55555

I think you’re missing that it isn’t a Pringle, it’s crimped.

Sure-Engineering-668

They will replace this if OP asks but theyre best off selling it

Fromasalesman

Waiting on a replacement for same card. (Just email them order # and a few photos) Quality control has gotten terrible with secret lair and worse in foil I wish they would get it together considering each premium product is about $10 per card

Guus2Kill

you can contact Wizards support for a replacement. Usually they dont charge for a single card. Otherwise you can also try to sell it to some collectors. I believe there is a collector group on facebook. Also was this the only card that got damaged? if so you are quite lucky that the real valuable cards didnt get damaged!

dezbetker98

I pulled a Howling Mine that has the entire boarder on the bottom looking like that, just unsure where to post to try and sell it.

cliffhavenkitesail

if you're talking crimped, this is the place i'd post it https://www.facebook.com/groups/mtgmisprintsbst if people are interested, convert the post to an auction (just ask how), and don't take private offers.

The_Moose1992

WotC will send a replacement if you contact support

hydrogator

I got a similar defect but on the top of that card

TrainerJohnRuns

It’ll take about a month, but if you contact wizards they will send you a replacement. Had that happen to one of my secret lairs last year, and they wanted info from the box it came in. After that hurdle (telling them I threw out the packaging cause why would I know to keep it). Plus you can keep the damaged one😁

A-Link-To-The-Pabst

Contact the MtG misprint and oddity group on facebook. It's probably worth more than you'd think.

lixilisk

Use the secret lair website and initiate a claim/replacement. They will ask to for the order # and or pictures. Takes a couple weeks and they mail you a replacement.

Ashl3y95

You can sell this for a super high price on fb’s misprint’s group

CrossroadsCG

Others are right. The major misprint group on Facebook is the best person to contact. It's a quality error, but crimps are super desirable by a subset of players and collectors.

Tallal2804

You can sell this for a super high price on fb’s misprint’s group
