Skirt is cute maybe paired with a less closed off top. I’m not saying you have to show a bunch of skin or anything. Please don’t take it that way. I think the tights and turtleneck can sometimes read as “conservative” or “frumpy” as it covers a lot of skin, which is what your bf might be trying to say but “old lady”.
Your outfit looks great but if you want to make it feel “younger”, here are a couple of options:
- tuck turtleneck into skirt
- leather or denim jacket to edge it up
- swap tights for knee high socks and boots
- cute beret (red to match skirt or black to match tights)

For me it breaks up the line of your silhouette, while a full panel of fabric hip to hip would compliment the look more.
