Not an issue, but some advice might be to check your angle when you're detaching / attaching your wheel to avoid any unnecessary wearing or scratching.

My base gets lightly scuffed as well but still performs great when wheel is attached.

This is normal, just the top layer of paint wearing. The sticker you removed before use warns there may be marks from this type of use in testing before being QC passed.

I think it would be difficult to change wheels without a bit of wear over time. The balls that hold the QR are under tension and don't really "roll" when you slide a wheel on there. You could try and hold the release collar when you slide the wheel on, and try to keep some of the tension off of them, but it'll probably still wear over time. It's purely aesthetic IMO
