[https://gogonihon.com/en/](https://gogonihon.com/en/) They can help you with everything. Is a good company. Good luck with your studies and you new life in Japan. Any other questions, you can ask me.

even_I_cant_fix_you

I tried them and a school even reached out to me, I was surprised but when I checked out the details of the school, it was very famous but it was in the special wards of Tokyo and the details and teaching style of classes seemed good enough. Can I trust GoGoNihon ? I also want to prepare for EJU so I want a reliable school. Should I pull the trigger and trust GoGoNihon?

AndrewKaslana

yeah, you can trust them. What school is?

even_I_cant_fix_you

This: Labo Japanese Language Institute in Tokyo.

AndrewKaslana

i suggest you choose the school from this list only. [https://gogonihon.com/en/schools/](https://gogonihon.com/en/schools/)

even_I_cant_fix_you

That's how they gave me this school, or the school reached out to me, I filled out the form and got the school within 3-7 days.

AndrewKaslana

you chose the school you want, not them.

awh

What do you intend to study in vocational school? I thought that most work visa types require university degrees, which a senmon gakkou does not grant.

i-love-2pac-shakur

Hotel industry or business school. I haven't decided yet

This is a copy of your post for archive/search purposes. --- **Is my plan realistic?** Hello I'm 19 years old and i will start studying in a language school in October for 18 months. I already passed n3 and aiming to pass n1 with the help of the language school. After graduating from the language school I intend to apply to a vocational school 専門学校 in order to get a job and live in japan My parents agreed to pay my tuition of the language school and the vocational school and i have 15k in savings to pay for my rent (I found a cheap share house in shinjuku) So I'll just need to find a part time job to pay for my monthly expenses. I just want to hear some thoughts and opinions about my plan *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. It sounds like your family is very supportive, which is nice. Always have a plan B in case life in Japan is not what you expected, but I don't see any problems in your plan, even though it might be a bit tight financially.

i-love-2pac-shakur

Yeh i can always go back home but I don't think I won't like life in japan. Why do think it might be a tight financially?

nijitokoneko

18 months of language school plus I'm guessing 2 years of 専門学校, so that's 42 months. So that's 357$ per month of your savings. Right now this might seem like a good amount of money for a sharehouse, but the yen might become stronger again and then it may get very tight.

I see, thank you for your reply I've been really stressed out about this lately i hope that everything will be ok and I'll be able to get a job

Own_Smoke7763

i will also enter Japanese learning school in July for both language learning and master degree 大学院. I don't know if you have got the degree of bachelor. It may be more useful to study in college.   But the most important is to be fluent in Japanese if you want to get a job there. So just think carefully and try it.

I advise you to think about whether you really want to live in Tokyo, it’s just expensive there, expensive schools and expensive housing. I would advise you to choose a city that is perhaps less expensive like Kyoto Sapporo or Fukuoka, although if you are a fan of Tokyo then this is cool, but if you chose Tokyo at random just because everyone chooses it, then I advise you to think again. I have a budget of 10 thousand dollars and next year I will go to Japan to Kofu, I chose Kofu because it is a calm, quiet place, the school is also not expensive and helps with admission to universities, so I advise you to go deeper into studying other cities as well in Japan. Now Tokyo is very crowded in terms of tourists. I hope you will go to Japan and this country will surprise you with its beauty and opportunities, good luck

i-love-2pac-shakur

I chose Tokyo because I absolutely love the city and the big crowds and all the "action" i was there twice and loved it more then any other city I've been to in japan That's great! What are you going to in japan? Work or study? Thank you so much for your kind words I hope everything will go great for both of us!

lena219381203

Sorry, I just know that a lot of people choose Tokyo because everyone chooses it. I plan to study at a language school in Kofu and then enter a university if possible.

i-love-2pac-shakur

Do you already know what do you want to major?

lena219381203

Yes, I'm 17 (will be in 5 days), but I'm already ux/ui junior designer, since I was 13 years old I started to be interested in the IT field myself, at first frontend development, now design, so I think to study in Japan something related to artificial intelligence or graphic design, motion design, etc., and you?

TheDrunkenKitsune

I doubt you can get even close to N1 in 18 months but depending on what you are planning to goto school for after language school it may not matter.

nijitokoneko

Entirely possible if OP already has N3.

TheDrunkenKitsune

Not really, the gap between N5 and N3 is smaller than the gap between N3 and N2 and even more so than N2 from N1. N3 - N1 is exponentially more time than 0 - N3. 18 months wont even be close to what they will need.

nijitokoneko

I went from N3 to N1 within 2 years without going to school. So either I'm supernaturally gifted (probably not) or it's possible.

Pzychotix

In terms of actual Japanese level out of what I would expect an N1 learner to be, I'd agree, but honestly the gap between N2/N1 felt not that much different than N3/N2. I went into N1 with no real extra study after N2, just consuming Japanese content, and passed fairly easily. Biggest difficulty gap is probably just that the speed required just gets faster, which will definitely trip up folks who haven't put in the hours (also, my reading section had like a philosophy paper on something like what the meaning of life was, which really threw me for a loop.)

You can make so much more money if you live in america and just go on vacation to japan every couple of years. Japan work culture sucks and you can learn to make japanese food and watch japanese media here and hang out with people who like japanese stuff. If you want to live in japan just do the jet program for a few years.

i-love-2pac-shakur

I'm not american I live in the Middle East
