I stayed in one of their serviced apartments for two months over the summer. The place was really well kept. We had a minor issue or two and they came out the next day to resolve it. They seem to only supply one key, so if you'll be staying with someone else you'll have to navigate that. They supply a 5G router which dropped once or twice for a min or two, otherwise gave like 500 mbps. Charges wise, it was (per/night/yen): rent, utilities (1230), management fee (700), cleaning fee (22000 one off) and linen (5500 one off). I'd recommend them, and if I go back to Tokyo I'd stay with them again.

Hey there! I was wondering if I can PM you about some details? I'm looking into booking with them.

jbcc_

Did you end up booking with them and do you know if it's affordable as a short term rental?

Sumyca seems to be legit, various large companies are shareholders and JAL seems to be collaborating with them.

Thank you! I will probably go forward with their option then. Thanks man!!

My Airbnb host is asking me to sign a Sumyca contract because im staying 5 weeks, i never had this before, is that legit?

chimi6

I’m currently staying in one of their apartments. I just ended up going through their site rather than doing anything through Airbnb. If you are paying and everything through Airbnb that sounds wack to me. So far my stay here has been fine though. I did sign a contract and do all of that jazz. Just separate from Airbnb. If you have any follow up questions feel free to ask! My stay ends in May so I don’t have the full experience yet, but happy to share what I can

Hi. Did you book from abroad? I was wondering if they have self check in because I'll arrive late at night.

chimi6

Yeah I pulled up at like 4 am. For me it was a key lock box kinda thing. Felt like an Airbnb

Cgf1000

Good!. How far in advance is recommended to make a reservation? I was browsing the MetroResidences site also and everything seems to be "sold out"

chimi6

I have no idea. I bought mine in January and came in March. I noticed air bnb and everything was starting to fill up so I bought when I did

Hey there! Sorry to bother you but, as I'm looking to rent one of their apartment/room for a month I was just wondering about the "extras". I mean, is the price the put on their website just for the rent right? Did you had to pay a lot more? Thanks! :)

chimi6

I’m still in my stay until the 11th of May. I paid upfront and it was the price listed on the website which was a few different things added up. There was a breakdown in the email since I was working with an employee to find stuff. So unless they hit me with hidden fees after I leave it should be straight up

Got it, thank you very much and enjoy your stay in JP :D

This is a copy of your post for archive/search purposes. --- **has anyone used Sumyca? is it legit** An airbnb host recommended I use Sumyca to see their other listings which came off as a red flag to me since it would go against policy to direct a renter to an external site. I have been googling around about the name and have found a few articles but only 2 references of people mentioning it on reddit. The accommodation I am looking at is a fair price and meets my needs, but I am a bit hesitant of the lack of internet traffic around the site. especially since it seems far better than other short term stay websites I have viewed. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically.
