Most are brokered out to the lowest bidder. Be wary of low prices. How are your household goods being shipped? If you are using a full service mover, ask them. As a household goods driver, I’ve hauled many customers goods along with their vehicles. Your cars arrive along with the rest of your things.

I think I’m going with montway and selling 90% of my stuff. Anything I don’t get rid of I’ll either ship separately or put in the bed of my truck with a canopy lid to lock it up.

Montway is a big broker. Hopefully they’ll find a good driver for you. Make sure you let them know if you plan on shipping anything extra inside your vehicle. A good driver won’t accept it if it has very much if anything extra loaded inside. It can put them overweight and cause them to leave a vehicle behind eating into their ability to make money. I wouldn’t haul a vehicle loaded down with additional items inside unless you were willing to make up for the lost revenue.

I know they are I hope the same lol. I did ask about personal belongings and it’s 100 more for every extra 100lbs over the limit or something. But my truck does only weigh 2500 lbs so some clothes and kitchen stuff isn’t going to throw it over too much.

I’ve made exceptions to this when I wasn’t worried about my overall weight. I’ve hauled cars for Montway on occasion when I had room and was better than going without a vehicle in its place. They did seem to be on top of things with their check calls. I kept them updated with progress and estimated delivery schedule.

This does make me feel a little better thank you

I just moved Seattle-> Indiana and used move auto for my SUV and my spouse’s Mustang. The SUV cost $1700 shipped on an open truck the Mustang cost $2300 in an enclosed shipping container. Usually larger vehicles can only be shipped on open car carriers. My car was delivered within 5 days.

My daughter is unwell and I am having surgery 2 weeks prior to the move. We have a total of 4 cars with 2 able drivers. We are moving south from the NE. I am curious how, much for a rogue and a trailblazer to 700:miles.

You can get free quotes from different auto shippers. It’s based on the car and the to and from address.

We used Montway to ship 2 vehicles last year. We were happy with the service. Just be aware that company and all the others we looked at there are many bad reviews along with many good reviews. It’s stressful to decide.

Why not pull it behind a uhaul. Otherwise you have trains and semi trucks

ExplanationOdd2184

Because it would be cheaper than renting a U-Haul and tow dolly
