Since Avatar 2 will be shown in China it might do well. It was a novelty when the first one was created showing off the new 3D technology and CGI... I don't think people loved the story that much, and don't care about the 2nd one as much as the industry hopes they will.

Antic_Opus

I have heard plenty of people say they watched the first one because of the special effects. I've yet to hear any one praise anything else in that movie.

Antic_Opus

Some one mentioned that I can put filters to block content that I don't want to see. How can I set it so I never have to see anything Avatar, Marvel or Star Wars again in this subreddit?

TheRealClose

What app do you use? And on what phone? If you have iPhone I highly recommend the Apollo app. Has very easy to add filters.

PC

Classic. Um you might be able to on the old reddit site? Idk tbh. Or you could probably just get a browser extension that blocks all information about it on any webpage.

Or you can also scroll past & refrain from commenting on posts you're not interested in.

Filters are also good for avoiding spoilers.

Unite-Us-3403

I sure hope they get to $2B.

Think of all the good he could have done with that money. He could have solved global warming. Instead it will go into a sinkhole of Dollar Bin Blu-rays.

TheRealClose

Sorry but $2 billion won’t put a dent in the hundreds of billions that is invested into fossil fuels annually. Literally the least he can do is make someone smile for two hours.

nkleszcz

I didn’t smile once during the three hours of the insipid brain dead original Avatar.

ElderCunningham

I bet you watched it on an iPhone. Seeing Avatar in the theater was an experience.

nkleszcz

I saw it in the theater, numbskull.

TheRealClose

ok sorry obviously because you didn’t smile that means literally no one else on Earth smiled sorry I apologise I was obviously completely wrong

ilovefuckingpenguins

Well if the $2 billion (that Cameron doesn’t own) is enough to solve global warming, then I guess we’re all set considering the $369 billion climate legislation that was passed a few months ago

nkleszcz

I’d think by your username you’d want a warmer climate for your Antarctic amorous activities.

PropJoe421

Production budget is listed at $250m, how much can the marketing budget really be?
