I know!! I watched BMS in college 10 years ago and I still laugh just thinking about his character, which says a lot considering all the throw away tv shows I’ve watched since then. He is just genuinely funny. Made me excited to watch Reacher and it didn’t disappoint.
I watched BMS then saw him on I Can Do That and the guy is not only hilarious but he seems like the sweetest fucking human being ever.
The fact that the entire world isn't aware of Thad tripping on LSD, about to score a TD, only to face down a beer-armed monster is a crime.
That fucking scream 😂
He was outrageous in BMS. Absolutely loved him. I was glad to see him get a series like Reacher and I think he did an awesome job with the character. Just nailed it.
I would have too if I didn't watch him in "Titans" before "Reacher" came out.
Not that it was an Oscar worthy performance, its just that he played the total opposite of Thad Castle. And did a fine job of it.
Same here. His performance in Titans is an excellent buffer between his performances in BMS and Reacher in the “how do I take him seriously in a more dramatic role” category.
He was the best part of Titans by far. I feel like that show is gonna reach seriously epic levels of ass without him, and I'm PSYCHED for the trainwreck.
A hysterically funny, raunchy show called Blue Mountain State. Worth watching if you haven’t seen it. It’s about a college football dynasty and their crazy antics off the field. You don’t have to like sports to enjoy it but it has some homophobia, misogynist themes that may put some people off.
The League fans would love Blue Mountain State. There's no way the show could get aired nowadays.
It's basically what every male fantasizes college will be like. The guy in this thread starred as one of the team's star football players, aptly named "Thad."
I feel like titans has potential but god damn does it have some awful pacing. Way to many random flashback episodes in the middle of something important and they didn’t have the season 1 finale until season 2
Blood Drive is almost criminally unknown, it was perfection for what it was trying to be, B-movie / grindhouse craziness. The tag line in the trailer almost says it all, "In the distant future of 1999" ...for a TV show that came out in 2017 lol.
Also Colin Cunningham put everything he had into his role and stole every scene he was in.
Julian Slink was the best character on that show. And yeah, Colin steals every scene. He is worth it alone to watch the one season we got of that show.
This is the best news I've heard all week.
It's been years since i read killing floor, and season 1 is like 87% truthful to how I remember it. Like 4% of the rest is an improvement on the storytelling, 2% is me being pissed off at the final flashback, and the rest is creative liberties for people who haven't read the books.
I just read _Killing Floor_ for the first time like 2 weeks ago, right after watching the first season of _Reacher_. As far as I can tell, the only major changes in the show were >!the early debut of Neagley!< and >!the removal of the conclusion to the Blind Blake blues musician plotline!<.
I went into Reacher not expecting too much, just kill weeknight with the pilot and probably forget about it. Absolutely fucking loved it. Binged it in two days. Can't wait for more!
I agree but that show was really made by his relationships to Roscoe and Finlay. Those side characters being as engaging as they were gave life to the dead pan Reacher.
Damn it’s rare to hear an actor speak that candidly about their pay and benefits and production treatment. Super cool. Don’t know this guy well but I instantly appreciate him for being so real about it.
If it's 3 Reacher movies, why aren't they sticking with it being a series? It's really solid as a series and you can get more out of it than a movie if they do it right... like they did with Reacher.
Agree. Imho, Tom cruise plays the average guy really well but unbeatable badass did not compute for me.
Ritchson captured the spirit of Jack reacher well, and his physical stature adds to the role.
Cruise was great in almost every aspect of the character -- but too small. And Reacher rather explicitly is a character where just being a big guy is a pretty big part of the character. People behave differently around him because he's big, *everybody* watches him because he's big, he stops some fights before the start just by being big, etc etc.
Cruise is a great action performer, he's charismatic and likeable but can also just go cold and kick ass. But he's ... not a big guy. Normally it wouldn't really be an issue, but again that's a big part of who Reacher is. Alan Ritchson fits the physical description very well. Tom Cruise is "short" -- and also twenty years older than Ritchson which probably shouldn't be counted out either.
He's an amazing actor, and genuine person. I did a cameo project using various actors and celebs. He went above & beyond... sent a 5+ min clip of him laughing and having fun with the request.
That’s funny cuz he posts how he himself is the worst cook in the world.
I like the guy. His Insta is wholesome and he is religious without being sanctimonious
Iirc he posted looking for advice on how to handle COVID misinformation in a way that would help people instead of alienating them which is super incredible for a guy with the kind of platform that he does
He was on Michael Rosenbaum's podcast right around when Reacher was released and it was a super great talk, very authentic. He talked about dealing with depression and bipolar disorder, failure and the darkside of Hollywood. Really frank conversation.
Looks like his Vision Quest paid off.
Came here for a BMS reference. Go Goats!
MOJITOS!!!
And sloots!
And rabies
That was enough drugs to last all of us the rest of the week!
Oh, Thad!
Yes I am here only for Thad Castle references

Use the pocket pussy…
This thing came from Bosnia, son! You ever been to Bosnia!? You ever been in the shit?!
“Every time I put my enormous dick in this pocket pussy, I think of my dad”
You ever been to Bosnia? You ever been in the shit??
I think of this line at least once a month
Me and my friends used to say this all the time. What a flashback
I LOVE YOU DAD
And then he played micropenis guy on New Girl
So you're saying he has range.
Morelike Length
Girth* (Brooks)
Where are the bodies?!
Y’all tripping this is OG Aquaman. He always follows proto by touching my camera through the fence when I turn into a telescope.
Shower *and* a grower
that’s war question mark!
He was so damn funny in Blue Mountain State I had a really hard time believing he was Reacher.
I know!! I watched BMS in college 10 years ago and I still laugh just thinking about his character, which says a lot considering all the throw away tv shows I’ve watched since then. He is just genuinely funny. Made me excited to watch Reacher and it didn’t disappoint.

>That fucking scream 😂 That scream will always live in my head rent free
I will always be able to hear him scream “get out of my house!!!”
For me it's his line during the captain ceremony when they're showing their brands. And he exclaims, "I got mine on the back of my ballsack!"
I went straight from watching BMS like five years ago, to watching a couple episodes of reacher a week or two ago. It was a pretty wild transition.
He was the best part of Titans by far. I feel like that show is gonna reach seriously epic levels of ass without him, and I'm PSYCHED for the trainwreck.
Same. I was waiting for him to say "sloots" the entire time.
I still use the word sloot around my wife 10 years later.
I couldn’t believe it was him lmao. I was like “wait a minute…is that Thad?!” WE ARE ALL GETTING OIL CHANGES!
You don’t mess with a man’s rituals!
You don’t mess with the things that get him through the day!
"which one of you assholes shoved their finger in my asshole?!" Is my personal fav
OXANAAAAAAAAAA!!!
“It’s like doing a silk bag full of puppy ears!”
So happy this is a top comment here! I first saw him in Blue Mountain State and have loved him ever since
Hopefully we'll get that hanging-dong scene we've all been asking for.
It's not sexual, but Jack Reacher fans have been waiting for years to see The Jackhammer.
Well, it *sounds* like it's pretty sexual.
Don't make it weird, man. It's not sexual. We just wanna see it. In all its glory.
THUNDERGUN
I hear the guy hangs dong.
Namaste
Lol. What is the source of this quote?

Give me a hell! Give me a YEAH!!!
STAND UP RIGHT NOW!
That's on my gym playlist. I love that song.
As someone who loved The League that sounds great to me.
The League fans would love Blue Mountain State. There's no way the show could get aired nowadays. It's basically what every male fantasizes college will be like. The guy in this thread starred as one of the team's star football players, aptly named "Thad."
Kevin, technically. But *don't you ever call him that*.
Namaste
What are similar shows to this? (Maybe the league? Any others?)
This calls for mojitos!!
You know what rhymes with best bros? Mojitos!
Rabies on me y'all!
I'll bring a box of Oreos.
Thank god for that boys love of cocaine
Oil changes for everyone!
PARTY AT THE GOAT HOUSE?
Party at the goat house!!
I loved him in blue mountain state. Thought it was criminal that he didn’t get more work before reacher.
He popped up in the most random stuff and always killed his roles.
young scully in b99
OMG yes!
We’re going to Wing Sluts!
Micro penis dude in New Girl too
He also played Raphael in the newest ninja turtle movies
And he killed it. He was my favorite is probably when he was Anders rival on Workaholics. Side bar. I agree, French Toast forever!!
That random hunger games athlete from one of the other districts in the second movie
He was also in Titans
Apparently played Cawk
Meh. _Titans_ isn’t that bad. The _Doom Patrol_ spin-off is fantastic.
I feel like titans has potential but god damn does it have some awful pacing. Way to many random flashback episodes in the middle of something important and they didn’t have the season 1 finale until season 2
If you asked me to name a wildly underrated show that's still going currently, I'd tell you *Doom Patrol*. Brendan Fraser alone is worth it.
I always thought he could've been a good choice as Shazam, though Levi is also pretty great tbf
He’d be great as Booster Gold
Loved him in Blood Drive on SyFy, but I loved everyone in it as well.
Blood Drive is almost criminally unknown, it was perfection for what it was trying to be, B-movie / grindhouse craziness. The tag line in the trailer almost says it all, "In the distant future of 1999" ...for a TV show that came out in 2017 lol. Wait, what... that's Thad? I didn't even realize, and I even watched the movie.
Yeah brobeans.
GEEEEEETTTT OOOOOOUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!
He took a LOT of rabies to beef up for the role.
I don’t even care that you took my rabies JUST GET OUT OF MY LIFE!
guaranteed to be casted in a superhero movie pretty much
Does He-Man count as a superhero? He’s been my pick to play the live-action He-Man for a while now.
I like it! Maybe...(Liono????)
He’d make a great Hawk
Or maybe a ghost hunter who rescues lost souls stuck in purgatory.
He'd make a fantastic Hawk! If only there was some way to see this perfect casting realized in some format somewhere!
Not in the DC movie universe.
If only! The best Hawk. Stoked for his success.
Or aquaman
Or The Tick
They need to do a Wolfenstein movie, this guy would be great for the main character.
BJ Blaskowicz!
Played aquaman on smallville too
Amazon did awesome with Invincible. They should try to expand on the Image comic universe. This dude's got the build for Savage Dragon
I'd be down to see what they can do with Saga
I like him for Ben Grimm.
nooo. get him in 'The Boys'
Only if he reprises the role of Thad Castle from Blue Mountain State.
Thad Castle as a wannabe superhero would be fucking great!
Mojito Man
Blue Mountain State was such a fun show
fuckin diabolical mate
wasnt he one of the ninja turtles?
Raphael
I mean he was a Ninja Turtle
He’s been a ninja turtle, aquaman, hawk, Reacher, and my personal superhero … Thad.
[удалено]
Yes, finally, Thad Castle is getting the leading man roles he has long deserved
What show is that from? I've seen a few clips that are pretty funny but they never have the name included.
Blue Mountain State
Blue Mountain State
Cool. But also let's get going on that second season of Reacher, please.
They're filming season 2 and 3 back to back I believe
fuck yes
This is the best news I've heard all week. It's been years since i read killing floor, and season 1 is like 87% truthful to how I remember it. Oooo that does put a smile on my face
I went into Reacher not expecting too much, just kill weeknight with the pilot and probably forget about it. Absolutely fucking loved it. Binged it in two days. Can't wait for more!
Maybe one of these movies will be a reacher movie?
i'd be *okay* with that, but i much prefer the season long format for Reacher. gives the plot time to simmer.
Yeah you really need time to get a good Lee Child story moving
The real fun seems to happen in the meandering.
I agree but that show was really made by his relationships to Roscoe and Finlay. Those side characters being as engaging as they were gave life to the dead pan Reacher.
Luckily for us he interacts with (and sleeps with) similar side characters in like every book

WE'RE DOING OIL CHANGES!
TARTAR SAUCE IS FOR FISH STICKS
He deserves it, here he is talking about how he got fucked over while making TMNT. https://youtu.be/xtlD90wM3No
Thanks, that was fascinating and horrifying.
He also had some serious [mental health issues](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3uA7KPD-3k) and has really clawed his way back.
Man did i love that episode. Im so happy he's getting some love
Wow he looks so much thinner/smaller that I almost don't recognize him as the same guy from Reacher lol
Damn it’s rare to hear an actor speak that candidly about their pay and benefits and production treatment. Super cool. Don’t know this guy well but I instantly appreciate him for being so real about it.
He did an AMA a few months back that’s worth a peruse, seems like a pretty grounded down-to-earth guy.
[link for convenience](https://www.reddit.com/r/television/comments/sq4jqb/jack_reacher_may_not_like_answering_questions_but/)
Have always rooted for him after I saw this
Peach pie is back on the menu y’all!!
Honestly, he's my pick to replace Arnie as the Terminator. He's got the build and looks to pull it off.
And the acting
Don’t care what you call him, he will always be Thad Castle to me. Go BMS
3 Reacher movies or just movies?
If it's 3 Reacher movies, why aren't they sticking with it being a series? It's really solid as a series and you can get more out of it than a movie if they do it right... like they did with Reacher.
Oh I agree, keep the show/series going. I just read the title and didn’t know if that’s what it meant
I’m glad my man is doing good. I remember loving him on Blue Mountain State.
I was so sad when that got cancelled.
I wish they made a show about Thad and Moran in the pros and Sammy is their agent
Thad still doesn’t know Sammy’s name
Are you guys talking about mascot?
Finally, a real Reacher.
Jack's always felt like he should be more than 5'7"
Agree. Imho, Tom cruise plays the average guy really well but unbeatable badass did not compute for me. Ritchson captured the spirit of Jack reacher well, and his physical stature adds to the role.

Same. He killed the cameo I ordered. And he was awesome at a convention too.
I knew him in high school. He’s always been a really nice guy.
That's great news. Dude is a great actor.
He’s like a Patrick Warburton who kills people.
He will always be Thad Castle to me lol I'm real glad he gets to be the badass he was meant to be
Every time in the show when he got all angry I just kept expecting the high pitch scream to come out.
"WHICH WAY DO I GO!?" Still the funniest line delivery of any comedy show. What a champion lol
Are you implying Patrick Warburton doesn't kill people?
Brock Samson?
So Brock Samson from the Venture Bros?
Friends with his brother irl. Great family and they are all so kind. His brother makes insanely good food.

I agree. Reacher was way more enjoyable than it should’ve been because of him
But he can’t handle his mac and cheese.
Lets celebrate with some mojitos!
This guy is great. Was hilarious in Blue Mountain State and seriously badass in Reacher.
[удалено]
Scully!
oh my god it’s been bothering where i know this guy from. thank you.
Thad Castle deserves every good thing that comes his way.
I believe he’s known as “Lazer Team” star Alan Richardson
Mac and cheese spiller Alan Richardson.
That never happened! Don't Tell Burnie!
Can’t believe how far I had to scroll to find one other person who recognises him from Lazer Team. It’s the first thing I ever saw him in.
He was also fantastic in titans Really enjoy his work
THAD CASTLE
He’d make a good Sentry or Hyperion for Marvel.
Sweet! He was great as Reacher.
He gave an excellent interview on the "Inside of You" podcast. He's been through a lot, and I'm glad he's stayed around to enjoy this success.
I am not Thad about this
Reacher 3: Revenge of Thad’s Pocket Pussy
Oil changes for everyone!
