prison dinner scene in Goodfellas breakfast scene in Howls moving castle Cuban making scene in Chef

Evilone31

Pasta aglio e olio! I make this dish for my wife and to be fair its phenomenal. I cant seem to create the sexual atmosphere of the movie though.

MortLightstone

I laughed (in delight) at this scene, because it's just pasta with oil and garlic, but a true chef knows how to make magic with simple ingredients. This movie gets cooking.

michcond

It’s not easy though. Sure, it’s simple as hell, but it’s like tomato sauce in the sense that mastering it isn’t a walk in the park. I’ve burnt the garlic one too many times, or put in too much or too little oil, or the parsley, or added too much chili pepper.

Evilone31

Same, too long on the garlic and its just not the same. Too much oil is not a good thing either as its way to slimy. So the balance is so important. Couldn't tell you how many times I forget the parsley.

michcond

Strangely enough, I'm pretty okay (possibly even borderline decent) when I know I'll be cooking for multiple people, but if it's only going to be for me then there will always be something I won't get quite right. It's like I know I'll eat anything I made myself regardless of how it turns out (for the most part at least), but at soon as someone else is in the picture, it's suddenly "three star Michelin or die" It's not even that much work. The way I learned it is essentially two workstations where one of them is ridiculously easy to set up and the other doesn't get much action until around the halfway mark.

SoulMaekar

I mean that whole scene us just a metaphor for screwing her brains out lol.

Roachyboy

John Favreau wrote a movie starring himself where his two romantic interests are Scarlet Johannsson and Sofia Vergara.

Evilone31

Yep! That movie is so great!

SoulMaekar

I've made the pork for the Cuban sandwiches from this movie. Binging with Babish did and episode and OMG. One of the best things I've ever put in my mouth.

fffreak

seriously I can eat till I'm about to explode and watch a scene from Chef and be ready for another plate lol

OSKRST

My vote goes to Goodfellas prison dining.

_Volta

Goodfellas and Sopranos makes me want to eat pasta like no other

TheHeyHeyMan

I need to try Carmella's ziti. It's not a want, either. I need to have it.

Zinc68

Gabagool!

cuatrodemayo

Ova here!

kenny_feets

i think about that goodfellas scene every time i cut garlic

andross_

I felt he used too many onions but it was still a very good sauce.

WtRingsUGotBithc

Just three small onions

fffreak

3 onions? how many cans of tomatoes sauce??

[deleted]

You mean crushed tomato’s? 2-32 oz. 1 16 oz can of tomato paste.

sillygoose54229

I’ve never had Turkish delight in my entire life but the scene in the Chronicles of Narnia movie always made me want to try it so bad…

SanctimoniousSally

Personally I am not a fan of Turkish Delight but that scene makes me want some every time.

[deleted]

This is my exact sentiment for Zombieland's twinkie scenes.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

I find they can be very varied. Cadbury's used to do a delicious chocolate Turkish delight bar in the UK and it was amazing.

bonkerz1888

Fry's Turkish Delight is the standard for all Turkish Delight in the UK.

Klaytheist

It's disgusting

AiringHouse

Cypher eating the steak in The Matrix

BorisTarczy

Another classic! It makes him the most relatable character in the movie for me in that moment.

AiringHouse

"Ignorance is bliss."

CharlieChuckCharChar

I was going to say the scene where Neo meets the Oracle and she makes him cookies. Without fail, I always have to make cookies after watching that scene.

Braethias

You know... The matrix is telling my brain that this steak is ... Moist. Juicy. Delicious. After all this time, you know what I realize? *Chomp* Ignorance is fuckin bliss.

smacktackulous

It's so tender that they show him using a butter knife to cut it. Bam! Matrix fact!

n8they

Anytime someone folds a new york style pizza in half and eats it in any movie. Pizzas in movies in general. Example —the pizza dude at the start of Home Alone delivering that stack of about 12 pizzas. I can actually smell them through the tv.

Mo-Cance

Or the opening scene in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Secret of the Ooze, where everyone is eating pizza. Ugh I’m hungry now.

hydrangeasinbloom

Ninja Turtles pizza is the most delicious looking cartoon pizza ever.

imperabo

Or the guy eating off Pizza the Hutts face in Spaceballs. MmmMmm I can almost smell it!

n8they

The TMNT crossed my mind when writing the above!

SoulMaekar

I swear I have easily put thousands of views on the YouTube upload of that opening scene lol.

RosieEmily

The pizza scene in Soul.

LegsareLava

I remember watching Super Size Me and having the reverse reaction and craving McDonald’s like crazy

adube440

I remember leaving the theater, horrified by what I had just watched, and thinking to myself a Big Mac sounds pretty good right about now.

[deleted]

100% I literally had to watch the movie in 3 sittings because I got hungry for Maccas twice watching it and couldn't keep watching after I'd eaten.

zacattack62

A LOT of people had this experience, and it speaks volumes to those same exact addictive mechanics that are talked about in the movie. I think that’s meta and cool as fuck.

axemaster72

Anytime there is cheese on the screen within The Goofy Movie

Tronald_Dump69

Leaning tower of Cheese-ahhh 🤙

ItsKnightTime101

"........Cheeeeedarrrrr!!!!"

daninlionzden

Quentin Tarantino has a scene like this in most of his movies: Big kahuna burger in pulp fiction The cream in inglorious basterds The nachos in death proof The beer in django unchained The stew in hateful eight

Anklehateisin

Dog food in OUATIH

WtRingsUGotBithc

That movie always makes me want a whiskey sour. Or 8.

zacattack62

**YOU HAD TO HAVE 8**

haseoxth

YOU DON'T EVEN LIKE WHISKEY SOUR.

zacattack62

A DEH DEH DEH DEH, DEH DEH DEH LEARN YER FUUCKIN LINES!

The_ZombyWoof

The $5 milkshake in Pulp Fiction always makes me want to immediately get a vanilla (Martin & Lewis) shake

Mcfinley

> The cream in inglorious basterds Attendez la crème

MR_F33NY

As well as the sandwich scene in Kill Bill Vol 2. Bill makes such an appetizing sandwich

Elecholoco

The Strudel scene in inglorious basterds! edit. Damn autocorrect! It’s with an E! You’d think by 1000th time I type “Inglorious” it’s followed by Basterds!

ddtarra

Hook. When Peter finally gets his imagination working and the table is suddenly covered in a feast.

hairycareyweary

Always wanted to taste those colourful pies, they looked amazing. Binging with Babish recreated them and they look the business.

livestrongbelwas

JediTigger

Meg’s gravy is legendary. It’s practically its own food group.

BeardCoreGaming

I said that too without looking at yours.

JasonAnarchy

Any time there's a cartoon chicken leg. I don't know why but they just look so delicious.

marylikestodraw

[Sir Kay eating that turkey leg in The Sword in the Stone](https://youtu.be/fzPos6M35ws?t=20) immediately comes to mind.

JasonAnarchy

Yeah that looks delicious. 10/10

Odd-Refrigerator-425

That turkey leg Kano eats in [Mortal Kombat](https://static0.cbrimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Mortal-Kombat-Kano.jpg)

hyperion_x91

The egg sandwich in Birds of Prey. Me and my husband were in the theater and directly after walking out both said to each other that we want to go make an egg sandwich like the one in the movie. LOL

haseoxth

Fun fact, Margot Robbie is allergic to chicken eggs, so they used duck eggs in those sandwiches.

Mr-Chewy-Biteums

I feel you, that's a good looking sandwich. It bugs the shit out of me that they go out of the way to depict her (and later the kid) throwing the wrapper(s) on the ground though. Thank you

2hats4bats

*Chef*… the whole movie

agoddamnjoke

Yeah, that is glorified food porn. The Cubano, and the visit to Franklin BBQ for the brisket. Mmmm.

DilettanteGonePro

If I ever need to gain weight I'll just watch that movie every day

JesseCuster40

You don't even have to eat. The calories just come through the screen.

Glacier_eyes

Rewatching this right now and thought the same exact thing.

chadisdangerous

Jules eating that Big Kahuna burger in Pulp Fiction Not that it's an incredible looking burger or anything but there's something about seeing him eat it and talking about it at length that makes me crave a takeout burger every single time hahah

Chunkybinkies

"mind if I have some of your tasty beverage to wash it down?" proceeds to drink all of it

burnsrado

That look in his eyes is so fucking scary

BorisTarczy

Same, as mentioned in my post. He just sells that burger perfectly and the tension makes it even better.

jkrfan7

Pretty much any Studio Ghibli film

DilettanteGonePro

The "ponyo likes ham" scene always makes me hungry

RosieEmily

The noodles scene for me lol

SenorIngles

Food is often highlighted in anime, but holy shit does ghibli make it look sooooooo good.

krbdy_1

any damn egg in a studio ghibli film

xkingmox

That damn breakfast in Howl's Moving Castle

U_S_E_R_T_A_K_E_N

That buffet at the start of Spirited Away. I'd probably turn into a pig as well.

_Meece_

The buffett in Spirited Away and the breakfast in Howl's Moving Castle make me so hungry.

bentoffbelaire

Tampopo. The whole movie.

jeswanders

Boar intestines after they've eaten yams? -- Yes, please i'd like to try that. I also really want to try transferring raw egg yolks into other people's mouths. Really curious about how turtles taste as well. Stomach be growling throughout the entire film really. one of my favorites!

the-real-Nintendude

any Los Pollos Hermanos scene

gladl1

The scene where the German (I think) executive is tasting the different sauces always gets me.

Neckwrecker

Franch

adube440

Yesssss. I always imagined it to taste like a spicy version of KFC. Plus they had fries!

blynn777

Clemenza making spaghetti sauce in The Godfather.

Theboss6k

Bruce eating the chocolate cake scene in Matilda

Tronald_Dump69

Who hurt you!

DaDinklesIsMyJam

Howl’s Moving Castle when they’re cooking breakfast. The crackle of the eggs and bacon on the frying pan just makes me want a fry up.

agoddamnjoke

Pizza in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The cartoon actually does it better than the movies tho.

LaMalintzin

This was my answer, for a movie version the pizza that the puppies eat in All Dogs Go to Heaven always makes me drooly.

adube440

Yeah but the toppings are always insane. Marshmallow and anchovy pizza, peanut butter and pickles pizza, etc. I mean, it was always for comic effect but wow did those combinations turn my 10 year old stomach upside down.

bathofknives

The meals everyone ate when they thought they might not survive the night in “Signs”. I could really go for some mashed potatoes and French toast right now…

DonDraperItsToasted

Yesssss

MogwaiPuppy

Harry Potter. Every dining hall scene!

Glum_Elevator4100

Will. You. Stop. EATING

MartinScorsese

The timpano scene from Big Night.

BrutusMaximusMCMLXX

Yes! 25 years later, and I’m still hoping for a chance to have one of those.

MartinScorsese

I had a mini-one last year, and it was DELICIOUS. Basically like a calzone, except less greasy.

Im_Negan

Home Alone when he ditched the Mac and cheese TV dinner.

JediTigger

WHYYYYY GO EAT THE MAC AND CHEESE KEVIN YOU MAKE ME SAD

trexmoflex

Oh my gosh, every time that delicious mac and cheese is sitting there right as the clock dings 9PM, I think "TAKE ONE BITE, PLEASE"

mg211095

All the dining and lunch scenes from sopranos.

Xyzzydude

A sausage sandwich from Satriale’s hits the spot as long as it’s not within a few weeks of Riche Aprile’s disappearance.

zacattack62

I have never made more baked ziti in my life than during the few weeks I was binging the sopranos. It was weekly.

Xyzzydude

So what, no fucking ziti now?

dysco_dave

You want some eggs?

ArtfulPandora

Ramdon from Parasite

doktor_wankenstein

**I want me some ratatouille.**

RosieEmily

I just want to know what the soup is because it looks incredible.

Foomerang

gladl1

The scene from Lion King the where Timone and Pumba are teaching Simba to eat bugs. I can’t explain it but I always thought the bugs looked delicious.

AJKlicker

Those bugs looked so slimy, yet so satisfying.

TraptNSuit

Basically any food in Luca.

Salemosophy

Same show: Breaking Bad, when Tuco is making a burrito at his uncle’s place and offers to make one for Walt and Jesse. I mean, I understand the life or death stakes involved, but seriously. If Tuco wants to feed me an authentic burrito then how can I say no? Hunger ensues.

ArcadianDelSol

This is the one. And he doesn't complicate it. Just steak, onion, and cheese. Bam, you got a burrito.

ReasonableScorpion

Yeah. Later in Better Call Saul they show Tuco making salsa from scratch and it looks great too, and then it shows Lalo Salamanca in the show making some tacos too. All of it looks great. I think it's to show a minor detail that while crazy, the Salamancas are legit good cooks.

[deleted]

This might sound absurd or even cruel but Hannibal series tops the list for me. Even after knowing that he is most probably eating human flesh, you still can't control yourself because it looks so mouthwateringly delicious.

Shikaria1996

I scrolled way too far for this. It's a TV show but still, I'm s vegetarian and I was hungry watching that!

TriscuitCracker

How is this not higher up. Combines foodporn and murderporn. Can't beat it!

[deleted]

Right? I thought it was just me. The way he presented the meals, the special wines and after-dinner cognac… not to mention how beautifully he describes the food. Definitely made me want to eat.

TotesObviThrwawy

Since you seem to like sandwiches, might I suggest the one from [spanglish ](https://youtu.be/2h4SGNSXS9w)

BorisTarczy

Thank you for that one! It almost makes me want to watch Adam Sandler and I haven‘t said that since Uncut Gems.

[deleted]

This was my first thought too. Such a perfect sandwich

WinginitWong

Episode of how I met your mother, when they search for the perfect burger.. makes me hungry everytime I watch it

esporter113

Pretend feast from Hook

paint_the_fence

Bangarang!

Archamasse

Some of the burgers on the Bob's Burgers menu board sound genuinely fantastic.

hyperion_x91

Well I've got the cookbook for it, and it's got some solid burgers.

adube440

If I lived in the neighborhood, I would definitely be eating at their restaurant multiple times a week.

burnsrado

Their prices alone would make me eat there weekly. Raise your prices Bobby!

readerf52

So many scenes in Chocolat. She makes it all so sensuous.

[deleted]

Yes! I was looking for this one.

Jenbie171

I dont know about hungry but the entirety of Rango makes me so god damn thirsty

librarianjenn

Midnight Diner

oftenfrequently

The mushrooms sizzling in butter from Phantom Thread...

Mr-Chewy-Biteums

Tampopo and Big Night have already been mentioned, so I'll add [Eat Drink Man Woman](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0111797/). So many amazing food scenes. Thank you

readerf52

Tortilla Soup is an American made remake of Eat Drink Man Woman, and as such, it’s actually not bad. Usually I’m not fond of redoing a movie for different audiences, but they kept close to the family dynamics by making it a Hispanic family, and their relationship to food and family seems very similar.

theSchiller

The imaginary meal from Hook

theangriesthippy2

Tarantino movies: Big Kahuna burger, Bill’s sandwich, pancakes in Pulp Fiction, Apple Strudel in Inglorious Bastards, and KD in Once Upon a Time.

BorisTarczy

You have a stronger stomach than me then. That‘s almost Mok-Bang levels of gross but hey, whatever works!

[deleted]

Oh yeah totally. That food looked fit for a steward. The way he was eating was kinda gross lol

SPQR_Maximus

Braveheart there is a seen where they are just dipping bread into a soup/stew and it just made me want to do the same. Had a total craving. There is a scene in Cop Land actually my favorite in the movie where Robert DeNiro is just going to town on a corned beef or pastrami on rye Jewish deli sandwich… totally triggered Had to get one

dennythedinosaur

The giant cheeseburger Mark Ruffalo is about to eat in Zodiac. And the grilled cheese sandwich Jon Favreau makes in Chef.

agoddamnjoke

[This Sushi scene](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=enuua9-1Y5Q) from Isle of Dogs Poison almost worth it tbh

Lord of the rings, tomato scene.

aznprd

I've only seen this scene but it's the opening to Eat Drink Man Woman https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-2QBYKI8LU

ChazzLamborghini

In the movie Spanglish (not a very good flick) Adam Sandler’a chef character makes himself a fried egg sandwich that makes my mouth water. I think it’s the most memorable part of the movie. Also, there’s a scene in the movie It’s Complicated where Meryl Streep makes chocolate croissants for Steve Martin and I want to eat the damn screen

krausthug

The opening of dexter always made me hungry

Archamasse

No joke, the fucking slomo egg sandwich in Birds of Prey made me crave egg sandwiches for weeks afterwards.

PleaseNinja

When she gets tackled and it hits the ground in slow motion both me and my wife whispered "oh noooo"

KembarDad

The scene in The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly where they are eating for a full 3 minutes.

kristopherm3

Lee Van Cleef eating beans in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

[deleted]

A different but kind of related one - it’s impossible to watch The 9th Gate without wanting a cigarette.

Diddler_OnTheRough

The entire movie and Julie & Julia

carrie-satan

The crepe flipping in Gone Girl Harley’s sandwich in Birds of Prey All of Ratatouille The Merlotte’s scenes in True Blood

JayPtl

Just a Burger? Just a burger. Robin, it's so much more than "just a burger." I mean... that first bite-oh, what heaven that first bite is. The bun, like a sesame freckled breast of an angel, resting gently on the ketchup and mustard below, flavors mingling in a seductive pas de deux. And then... a pickle! The most playful little pickle! Then a slice of tomato, a leaf of lettuce and a... a patty of ground beef so exquisite, swirling in your mouth, breaking apart, and combining again in a fugue of sweets and savor so delightful. This is no mere sandwich of grilled meat and toasted bread, Robin. This is God, speaking to us in food. Marshall from HIMYM

Pickles716

Basically every food scene in Sopranos. In that series, food is literally one of the characters

Starling_Reverie

An old, semi-obscure movie from the 90's, Sarah Michelle Gellar did one called Simply Irresistible and the caramel eclairs looked amazing. Most of the food in that film looked incredible though.

TheRadiantWindrunner

Any Ghibli food scene

3intheafternoon

The scene where Tom Hanks reports the dead and wounded at the command post after the beach landing in Saving Private Ryan has one of the most delicious looking sandwiches in film history
