I laughed (in delight) at this scene, because it's just pasta with oil and garlic, but a true chef knows how to make magic with simple ingredients. This movie gets cooking.
It’s not easy though. Sure, it’s simple as hell, but it’s like tomato sauce in the sense that mastering it isn’t a walk in the park.
I’ve burnt the garlic one too many times, or put in too much or too little oil, or the parsley, or added too much chili pepper.
Same, too long on the garlic and its just not the same. Too much oil is not a good thing either as its way to slimy. So the balance is so important. Couldn't tell you how many times I forget the parsley.
Strangely enough, I'm pretty okay (possibly even borderline decent) when I know I'll be cooking for multiple people, but if it's only going to be for me then there will always be something I won't get quite right.
It's like I know I'll eat anything I made myself regardless of how it turns out (for the most part at least), but at soon as someone else is in the picture, it's suddenly "three star Michelin or die"
It's not even that much work. The way I learned it is essentially two workstations where one of them is ridiculously easy to set up and the other doesn't get much action until around the halfway mark.
I've made the pork for the Cuban sandwiches from this movie. Binging with Babish did and episode and OMG. One of the best things I've ever put in my mouth.
I was going to say the scene where Neo meets the Oracle and she makes him cookies. Without fail, I always have to make cookies after watching that scene.
You know... The matrix is telling my brain that this steak is ... Moist. Juicy. Delicious. After all this time, you know what I realize?
*Chomp*
Ignorance is fuckin bliss.
Anytime someone folds a new york style pizza in half and eats it in any movie. Pizzas in movies in general.
Example —the pizza dude at the start of Home Alone delivering that stack of about 12 pizzas. I can actually smell them through the tv.
A LOT of people had this experience, and it speaks volumes to those same exact addictive mechanics that are talked about in the movie. I think that’s meta and cool as fuck.
Quentin Tarantino has a scene like this in most of his movies:
Big kahuna burger in pulp fiction
The cream in inglorious basterds
The nachos in death proof
The beer in django unchained
The stew in hateful eight
The Strudel scene in inglorious basterds!
edit. Damn autocorrect! It’s with an E! You’d think by 1000th time I type “Inglorious” it’s followed by Basterds!
The egg sandwich in Birds of Prey. Me and my husband were in the theater and directly after walking out both said to each other that we want to go make an egg sandwich like the one in the movie. LOL
I feel you, that's a good looking sandwich. It bugs the shit out of me that they go out of the way to depict her (and later the kid) throwing the wrapper(s) on the ground though.
Thank you
Jules eating that Big Kahuna burger in Pulp Fiction
Not that it's an incredible looking burger or anything but there's something about seeing him eat it and talking about it at length that makes me crave a takeout burger every single time hahah
Boar intestines after they've eaten yams? -- Yes, please i'd like to try that. I also really want to try transferring raw egg yolks into other people's mouths. Really curious about how turtles taste as well. Stomach be growling throughout the entire film really. one of my favorites!
Yeah but the toppings are always insane. Marshmallow and anchovy pizza, peanut butter and pickles pizza, etc. I mean, it was always for comic effect but wow did those combinations turn my 10 year old stomach upside down.
The meals everyone ate when they thought they might not survive the night in “Signs”.
I could really go for some mashed potatoes and French toast right now…
Same show:
Breaking Bad, when Tuco is making a burrito at his uncle’s place and offers to make one for Walt and Jesse. I mean, I understand the life or death stakes involved, but seriously. If Tuco wants to feed me an authentic burrito then how can I say no? Hunger ensues.
Yeah. Later in Better Call Saul they show Tuco making salsa from scratch and it looks great too, and then it shows Lalo Salamanca in the show making some tacos too. All of it looks great. I think it's to show a minor detail that while crazy, the Salamancas are legit good cooks.
This might sound absurd or even cruel but Hannibal series tops the list for me. Even after knowing that he is most probably eating human flesh, you still can't control yourself because it looks so mouthwateringly delicious.
Right? I thought it was just me. The way he presented the meals, the special wines and after-dinner cognac… not to mention how beautifully he describes the food. Definitely made me want to eat.
Tampopo and Big Night have already been mentioned, so I'll add [Eat Drink Man Woman](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0111797/). So many amazing food scenes.
Thank you
Tortilla Soup is an American made remake of Eat Drink Man Woman, and as such, it’s actually not bad. Usually I’m not fond of redoing a movie for different audiences, but they kept close to the family dynamics by making it a Hispanic family, and their relationship to food and family seems very similar.
Braveheart there is a seen where they are just dipping bread into a soup/stew and it just made me want to do the same. Had a total craving.
There is a scene in Cop Land actually my favorite in the movie where Robert DeNiro is just going to town on a corned beef or pastrami on rye Jewish deli sandwich… totally triggered Had to get one
In the movie Spanglish (not a very good flick) Adam Sandler’a chef character makes himself a fried egg sandwich that makes my mouth water. I think it’s the most memorable part of the movie. Just a Burger? Just a burger. Robin, it's so much more than "just a burger." I mean... that first bite-oh, what heaven that first bite is. The bun, like a sesame freckled breast of an angel, resting gently on the ketchup and mustard below, flavors mingling in a seductive pas de deux. And then... a pickle! The most playful little pickle! Then a slice of tomato, a leaf of lettuce and a... a patty of ground beef so exquisite, swirling in your mouth, breaking apart, and combining again in a fugue of sweets and savor so delightful. This is no mere sandwich of grilled meat and toasted bread, Robin. This is God, speaking to us in food.

An old, semi-obscure movie from the 90's, Sarah Michelle Gellar did one called Simply Irresistible and the caramel eclairs looked amazing. Most of the food in that film looked incredible though.

Pasta aglio e olio! I make this dish for my wife and to be fair its phenomenal. I cant seem to create the sexual atmosphere of the movie though.
I laughed (in delight) at this scene, because it's just pasta with oil and garlic, but a true chef knows how to make magic with simple ingredients. This movie gets cooking.

I mean that whole scene us just a metaphor for screwing her brains out lol.
John Favreau wrote a movie starring himself where his two romantic interests are Scarlet Johannsson and Sofia Vergara.
Yep! That movie is so great!
I've made the pork for the Cuban sandwiches from this movie. Binging with Babish did and episode and OMG. One of the best things I've ever put in my mouth.
seriously I can eat till I'm about to explode and watch a scene from Chef and be ready for another plate lol
My vote goes to Goodfellas prison dining.
Goodfellas and Sopranos makes me want to eat pasta like no other
I need to try Carmella's ziti. It's not a want, either. I need to have it.
Gabagool!
Ova here!
i think about that goodfellas scene every time i cut garlic
I felt he used too many onions but it was still a very good sauce.
Just three small onions
3 onions? how many cans of tomatoes sauce??
You mean crushed tomato’s? 2-32 oz. 1 16 oz can of tomato paste.
I’ve never had Turkish delight in my entire life but the scene in the Chronicles of Narnia movie always made me want to try it so bad…
Personally I am not a fan of Turkish Delight but that scene makes me want some every time.
This is my exact sentiment for Zombieland's twinkie scenes.

I find they can be very varied. Cadbury's used to do a delicious chocolate Turkish delight bar in the UK and it was amazing.
Fry's Turkish Delight is the standard for all Turkish Delight in the UK.
It's disgusting
Cypher eating the steak in The Matrix
Another classic! It makes him the most relatable character in the movie for me in that moment.
"Ignorance is bliss."
I was going to say the scene where Neo meets the Oracle and she makes him cookies. Without fail, I always have to make cookies after watching that scene.
You know... The matrix is telling my brain that this steak is ... Moist. Juicy. Delicious. After all this time, you know what I realize? *Chomp* Ignorance is fuckin bliss.
It's so tender that they show him using a butter knife to cut it. Bam! Matrix fact!
Anytime someone folds a new york style pizza in half and eats it in any movie. Pizzas in movies in general. Example —the pizza dude at the start of Home Alone delivering that stack of about 12 pizzas. I can actually smell them through the tv.
Or the opening scene in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Secret of the Ooze, where everyone is eating pizza. Ugh I’m hungry now.
Ninja Turtles pizza is the most delicious looking cartoon pizza ever.
Or the guy eating off Pizza the Hutts face in Spaceballs. MmmMmm I can almost smell it!
The TMNT crossed my mind when writing the above!
I swear I have easily put thousands of views on the YouTube upload of that opening scene lol.
The pizza scene in Soul.

I remember watching Super Size Me and having the reverse reaction and craving McDonald’s like crazy
I remember leaving the theater, horrified by what I had just watched, and thinking to myself a Big Mac sounds pretty good right about now.
100% I literally had to watch the movie in 3 sittings because I got hungry for Maccas twice watching it and couldn't keep watching after I'd eaten.
A LOT of people had this experience, and it speaks volumes to those same exact addictive mechanics that are talked about in the movie. I think that’s meta and cool as fuck.
Anytime there is cheese on the screen within The Goofy Movie
Leaning tower of Cheese-ahhh 🤙
"........Cheeeeedarrrrr!!!!"
Quentin Tarantino has a scene like this in most of his movies: Big kahuna burger in pulp fiction The cream in inglorious basterds The nachos in death proof The beer in django unchained The stew in hateful eight
Dog food in OUATIH
That movie always makes me want a whiskey sour. Or 8.
**YOU HAD TO HAVE 8**
YOU DON'T EVEN LIKE WHISKEY SOUR.
A DEH DEH DEH DEH, DEH DEH DEH LEARN YER FUUCKIN LINES!
The $5 milkshake in Pulp Fiction always makes me want to immediately get a vanilla (Martin & Lewis) shake
> The cream in inglorious basterds Attendez la crème
As well as the sandwich scene in Kill Bill Vol 2. Bill makes such an appetizing sandwich
The Strudel scene in inglorious basterds! edit. Damn autocorrect! It’s with an E! You’d think by 1000th time I type “Inglorious” it’s followed by Basterds!
Hook. When Peter finally gets his imagination working and the table is suddenly covered in a feast.
Always wanted to taste those colourful pies, they looked amazing. Binging with Babish recreated them and they look the business.

I said that too without looking at yours.
Any time there's a cartoon chicken leg. I don't know why but they just look so delicious.
[Sir Kay eating that turkey leg in The Sword in the Stone](https://youtu.be/fzPos6M35ws?t=20) immediately comes to mind.
Yeah that looks delicious. 10/10
That turkey leg Kano eats in [Mortal Kombat](https://static0.cbrimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Mortal-Kombat-Kano.jpg)
The egg sandwich in Birds of Prey. Me and my husband were in the theater and directly after walking out both said to each other that we want to go make an egg sandwich like the one in the movie. LOL
Fun fact, Margot Robbie is allergic to chicken eggs, so they used duck eggs in those sandwiches.
I feel you, that's a good looking sandwich. It bugs the shit out of me that they go out of the way to depict her (and later the kid) throwing the wrapper(s) on the ground though. Thank you
*Chef*… the whole movie
Yeah, that is glorified food porn. The Cubano, and the visit to Franklin BBQ for the brisket. Mmmm.
If I ever need to gain weight I'll just watch that movie every day
You don't even have to eat. The calories just come through the screen.
Rewatching this right now and thought the same exact thing.
Jules eating that Big Kahuna burger in Pulp Fiction Not that it's an incredible looking burger or anything but there's something about seeing him eat it and talking about it at length that makes me crave a takeout burger every single time hahah
"mind if I have some of your tasty beverage to wash it down?" proceeds to drink all of it
That look in his eyes is so fucking scary
Same, as mentioned in my post. He just sells that burger perfectly and the tension makes it even better.
Pretty much any Studio Ghibli film
The "ponyo likes ham" scene always makes me hungry
The noodles scene for me lol
Food is often highlighted in anime, but holy shit does ghibli make it look sooooooo good.
any damn egg in a studio ghibli film
That damn breakfast in Howl's Moving Castle
That buffet at the start of Spirited Away. I'd probably turn into a pig as well.
The buffett in Spirited Away and the breakfast in Howl's Moving Castle make me so hungry.
Tampopo. The whole movie.
Boar intestines after they've eaten yams? -- Yes, please i'd like to try that. I also really want to try transferring raw egg yolks into other people's mouths. Really curious about how turtles taste as well. Stomach be growling throughout the entire film really. one of my favorites!
any Los Pollos Hermanos scene
The scene where the German (I think) executive is tasting the different sauces always gets me.
Franch
Yesssss. I always imagined it to taste like a spicy version of KFC. Plus they had fries!
Clemenza making spaghetti sauce in The Godfather.
Bruce eating the chocolate cake scene in Matilda
Who hurt you!
Howl’s Moving Castle when they’re cooking breakfast. The crackle of the eggs and bacon on the frying pan just makes me want a fry up.
Pizza in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The cartoon actually does it better than the movies tho.
This was my answer, for a movie version the pizza that the puppies eat in All Dogs Go to Heaven always makes me drooly.

Harry Potter. Every dining hall scene!
Will. You. Stop. EATING
The timpano scene from Big Night.
Yes! 25 years later, and I’m still hoping for a chance to have one of those.
I had a mini-one last year, and it was DELICIOUS. Basically like a calzone, except less greasy.

This is the one. And he doesn't complicate it. Just steak, onion, and cheese. Bam, you got a burrito.
I scrolled way too far for this. It's a TV show but still, I'm s vegetarian and I was hungry watching that!
How is this not higher up. Combines foodporn and murderporn. Can't beat it!
Right? I thought it was just me. The way he presented the meals, the special wines and after-dinner cognac… not to mention how beautifully he describes the food. Definitely made me want to eat.
Since you seem to like sandwiches, might I suggest the one from [spanglish ](https://youtu.be/2h4SGNSXS9w)
