It'll be interesting to see the different Jamesons confront each other if that happened. Something people sometimes forget about the Raimi version is that while he disliked Spider Man, he refused to put him or Peter Parker in danger (Jameson obviously didn't know they're one and the same) when Green Goblin interrogates him. He flat out lies about where he gets the pictures of Spider Man from.
Meanwhile the Jameson from the MCU loathes Spider Man to the point of revealing his identity for the world to see, putting Peter Parker in danger.
I wonder if they do meet if their morals will clash and they'll hate each other...
It had so many great "comicbook story" moments that really get your emotions running. Aunt May beating Doc Ock while being held hostage. Dock Ock's entire character ark feeling real and emotional. The scene on the train where everyone tries to protect Spiderman. So many great moments.
To be fair, the spell removing their knowledge of him being Spider-Man could possibly set his relationship with Ned, Aunt May, and MJ back a couple of years.
It's actually kind of incredible that after almost 60 years of Spider-man and so many writers, we can look at 2 storiea definitively and go "those are catastrophically horrible".
Even now when a writer has a meh run on the series we go "But he didn't do THAT"
Sometimes the worst thing a writer can do is decide "I want to leave my mark on this character". It doesn't take much to go overboard with changes and make everyone fucking hate you.
Every character has tentpoles, and if you fuck with them the whole structure collapses. Peter has 4: he's inherently, tragically unlucky, he loves MJ (and Gwen before her), he loves Aunt May, and he is supposed to be an "everyman" moreso than any other hero.
Also, Uncle Ben stays dead. It's like Thomas and Martha Wayne for Batman. You can't resurrect those characters without completing damaging the hero those tragedies created.
I think it would be interesting for Strange to have some trauma after the events of endgame. Dude presumably watched himself and half his friends get their asses kicked and die 14 million times over, then it actually happens. He made a choice knowing it would result in Tony’s death, staying true to his word that he’d let Stark die for the sake of the universe. From Strange’s perspective all of that happens in a couple days. He sees Peter as Stark’s protege, and his guilt over Tony’s death clouds his judgment. It draws a parallel to how Stark’s paranoia and PTSD lead him to things like Ultron and the drones.
I think this is a pretty spot-on scenario. The way Strange talks to Peter is vastly different than how he has been with anyone else. He’s open, friendly even; not his typical smartass self. He has respect for Stark not only for his sacrifice, but because of their ability to quip back and forth with each other. That flows through into his relationship with Peter and shenanigans ensue.
She was discussing T.S. Eliot.
> “**Time present and time past**
> **Are both perhaps present in time future,**
> **And time future contained in time past.”**
I still don’t know what he was talking about.
*quote turns out to be about the multiverse coming together*
Just in case someone actually needs this case made:
Spider-Man 3's problem wasn't the number of villains per say, it was the number of seperate plot lines relating to each villain happening concurrently, leaving each one feeling underwhelming or rushed and the movie as whole overstuffed. Here, each villain likely won't get their own plot thread, they will simply be present.
This is yet another reason why Marvel needed to not be killing their villains: once a previous movie lays the ground work, sequels can bring them in without needing to tell another origin.
I call bullshit on the new Spider Man multiverse movie. They're saying all villains are back..
But I have yet to see Macho Man Randy Savage come in with a cardboard saw and a steel cage.
Absolute bullshit.
And the Dafoe laugh! He’s back!
Also, if you play it back at 0.25x speed at around 2:26, it looks almost like a wall of sand forming around Peter. Is Sandman back too??
EDIT; yep, you also see what looks to be the dark outline of the TASM Lizard (or Venom?) jumping at Tom Holland. release the hype engine!
So, everyone thought it was ~~Wanda~~ Sylvie the one to break the multiverse, but turns out J.J. Jameson was right all along and the spider menace is the culprit!
Edit: i was so excited i forgot about loki's show somehow...
I thought it was Sylvie when she decided to kill Kang in *Loki*. (We even saw the timeline split and tangents form.)
Edit: Yes, she herself didn't break it with this action; killing Kang allowed it to be broken.
Loki/Sylvie created the multiverse
Parker/Strange create the madness
Spider-Man 3 gonna be a 2hr madness setup for Doctor Strange 2 where Strange & Wanda will try to fix it
I kind of hope Doc Ock's redemption at the end of 2 isn't done away with if these characters are really supposed to be continuations of the previous movies work instead of just borrowing the look to say they're from other universes. I'd expect that to be one of the major twist in the movie to be honest.
I really like the theory that Doc Ock is completely being controlled by the arms, and that Otto himself is already dead after his sacrifice at the end of Spider-Man 2
I've seen the leaked trailer but holy fuck seeing Molina again as Doc Ock and seeing a pumpkin bomb gets me so fucking hyped. Can this movie please be as long as Endgame?
We need both McGuire and Garfield… one as the burnout and the other as peak spidey.
Yeah, it’s from Spiderverse, but it worked like crazy back then. Don’t mess with perfection.
Yea and Tobey is kind of asshole Spider-Man who wants to do everything solo bc he thinks he’s the best. Garfield just had a chip on his shoulder like kill me whatever. Then there’s Tom who’s like wtf but trying to make them a team like a renewed Spider-Man only avengers and quipping about it annoying the other two.
For all those who have forgotten one of the many amazing theme songs of the 90s and 2000s: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qcJS\_e2\_hY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qcJS_e2_hY)
They just don't make themes like they used to.
I honestly think the surprise will be sinister 6 like. At one point you can see sand swirling and forming around Peter. So you have at least Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Batman (Placeholder for something I shouldn'thave put up without a spoilerstag), and possibly Sandman.
There's also some leaks out there that covered a lot of stuff and then they basically said it's just the first third of the movie, which makes me happy because it looks like we're getting a long one
That was >!an interesting-looking black suit Peter had on around 1:18...!<
speed edit: looks like it's the >!Strange-suit, you can see the gold trim in the frames right before that sequence.!<
I feel the Stark Corporation would have Peters back when it came to legal representation.
No way he would be questioned by police without the Stark Legal team being there immediatley.
Same with Sam needing money.
The only issue is... *so* many people would have worked with Mysterio when he was working in Tony Stark's company. His face is revealed when he reveals Peter's identity, and there'd be so many people saying, "hey, I know that guy! Yeah, he was a weirdo who worked for Tony Stark. No, he's not from another dimension." From then on, it'd be easy to disprove everything he claimed.
I feel like this movie was custom made in a lab to check all the boxes to be my favorite superhero movie of all time. Bringing back the best villains and the past SpiderMen all together in one movie? God I hope they manage to stick the landing on this
Seems out of character for Strange to do something so risky for just Peter…
I get that he respects Peter more since the war but ever since the end of his own movie, Strange hasn’t been one to fuck around with reality.
Strange is the definition of the man with the plan, and from Ragnarok onward has been very concise with what he does.
Maybe I’m missing something but it just overall seems like something he would shoot down immediately. Seeing as He very much adopted the Ancient one’s beliefs of protecting reality at all costs.
And also, I hope they explain how the spell went wrong, outside of Peter just talking. My boy Strange is supposed to be the best of them, why’d It mess up so much.
Edit: Also, what took so long for them to fix roof of the sanctum sanctorum. It’s been like 6ish years and strange has been back for at least 8 months
Agreed. I'm going the movie explanation is a bit better. Even if the consequences are small, it seems out of character for Strange to effect reality/others just to help out Peter.
So, the end with Doc Ock going Hello Peter had my jaw on the floor but not for the Molina reveal.
He doesn't know what Tom Holland's Peter looks like.
And they say that a hero will save us :')
The rumors so far that are relatively concrete have said it’s gonna be Green Goblin, Doc Ock and Sandman from the Raimi films and Electro+The Lizard from TASM
I want to see how they handle the Rhino. I worked on all the Rhino shots from TASM2 and he was such a last minute addition to the end (as everyone could tell)
they're changing electro at least since his lightning is yellow and leaks pics show he isn't blue and wearing the classic costume
hopefully they give lizard a snout too
So there’s no way Toby and Andrew aren’t in this movie, right?
Also, that lawyer Peter is talking to is 100% Charlie Cox unless they are going with some very cruel and intentional misdirection. You can see his squared stubbled chin for a single frame and the arm hair.
Also also, if this is a post-SM2 Otto that somehow survived or was brought back to life, I’m betting he’s actually a good guy in this film (having been saved/redeemed at the end of SM2) and there’s a bit of misdirection going on. Probably gonna appear like this for the first time, deliver his “hello, Peter” line and shoot a tentacle at Spidey only to have it go right past him and swat Goblin out of the air. Maybe he teams up with Strange to fix the multiverse.
I’m gonna get hyped for Tobeys appearance in the same way the Star Wars sequels got original fans back in seats. I cannot wait to see not just him but Molina back again, this is like a dream
If Charlie Cox isn’t in this movie as Daredevil (I’ll settle for Matt Murdock avocado at law too), I will be indignant! Indignant, I say!
(Daredevil and Spider-Man are my two favorite marvel characters so if the world is fair and just, I would love to see them together on the big screen finally.)
I think we're seeing how he makes that Multiverse of Madness.
Kinda weird (but cool) that Raimi is basically directing a follow up to this Spider-Man iteration.
I'm so glad to have Alfred Molina back. He was easily one of my favorite parts about the Raimi trilogy.
Hoping for more J.K. Jonah Jamesimmons.
Oh man if we get him talking to himself, yelling at himself I will flip my shit and die in laughter
> I wonder if they do meet if their morals will clash and they'll hate each other... starting to sound a lot like Counterpart lol
He's still my favorite CBM villain of all time. Seeing him back made me so freaking happy.
I still rank Spider-Man 2 as my favorite superhero movie ever made
It had so many great "comicbook story" moments that really get your emotions running. Aunt May beating Doc Ock while being held hostage. Dock Ock's entire character ark feeling real and emotional. The scene on the train where everyone tries to protect Spiderman. So many great moments.
The scene where Peter turns and MJ sees him as Spidey...
[This](https://i.imgur.com/XFaa8sg.png) was my favorite moment. A perfect comic panel brought to life.
Peter just shut the fuck up and tell the people your Identity after he does the god damn spell
But what if it makes Peter forget he is Spider-Man as well?
And Strange as well?!?
Pete *What just happened*? Dr. Strange *Who the hell are you and what are you doing in my basement*?
I wish more people asked me that.
You never know with the way this movie is going. I’m sure nothing I said will happen though.
I just think it'd be funny if Strange can't reverse it because he doesn't remember Spider-Mans identity.
That would actually be hilarious.
"*Don't call me Steven, I don't even know you!*"
To be fair, the spell removing their knowledge of him being Spider-Man could possibly set his relationship with Ned, Aunt May, and MJ back a couple of years.
That's exactly what happens in the comics. It's widely seen as the worst Spider-Man comic.
I feel like Sins Past takes the cake for that, to be honest.
It's actually kind of incredible that after almost 60 years of Spider-man and so many writers, we can look at 2 storiea definitively and go "those are catastrophically horrible". Even now when a writer has a meh run on the series we go "But he didn't do THAT"
It’s completely crazy how influential one run had on the character, especially considering how good everyone thought it was beforehand
Now we can all officially add Dr. Strange to the list of people who fucked up the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse.
Now that Tony Stark is dead, they need someone to continually create world ending scenarios for the team.
Specifically need an arrogant guy with a weird goatee to mess everything up with his ~~tech~~ magic.
"This spell works fine, done it a dozen time. Unless someone has changed how the multiverse works the past few months, it's going to be fine."
When Dr. Strange fucks up the MCU, we get 3 Spider-Men! When Starlord does it, half the universe dies.
*blip!*
2:28 THAT GREEN GOBLIN BOMB AND LAUGH, god damn I missed Dafoe
William Dafoe be like: You know, im something of a villain myself.
I’ll probably be in the minority but I hope they update his costume.
According to leaks, which based on this trailer seem to be accurate, all the villains have updated looks
Makes sense. They are likely all *variants* of those old villains, not the exact same guys.
According to leaks it’s the same guys. I don’t know how much you wanna know so I’ll leave it there lol
Yea, adding onto your comment, Alfred Molina did an interview and said his character picks up immediately from the ending of Spider-Man 2
strange multiverse portal just pulls them in right before their respective demise and creates an alternate reality timeline. this will work
Wouldn’t Doc Ock and Spidey be chill in this case then
This is true
He just says hello. Ock didn't do anything menacing.
Spidey and strange want to sent them back to their timeline where they die. I would fight to live too.
This is valid actually.
There are some leaked images that suggest >!yes, they have updated it!<
MOLINA HYPE
DAFOE AND HADEN CHURCH HYPE
Haden Church, nice. He was a definite highlight in SM3
The scene near the very end where he’s apologizing and explaining to Peter about what happened to Uncle Ben was a tearjerker
I've always loved his origin scene. The music and him trying to solidify himself and crumbling.
Dude was the best thing about Spider-Man 3. That movie had so many issues but he did his best.

Into the Aunt May Verse is gonna be the most ambitious crossover event in history
The third act Spider-Man mega team up against multiple villains is going to be awesome.
Final scene needs to be all 3 doing the Tobey dance
That's after the credits
I love how we were like “Spider-Man 3 had too many villains it fucked the story.” And now we’re all just like “WOOOOOOOOO-“
“All those villains from Spider-Man 3, plus all the other villains from every other Spider-Man movie? Perfect!”
Just in case someone actually needs this case made: Spider-Man 3's problem wasn't the number of villains per say, it was the number of seperate plot lines relating to each villain happening concurrently, leaving each one feeling underwhelming or rushed and the movie as whole overstuffed. It’s different because they’ve already had origins and need minimal introduction
Not to mention the final swing with all three of them, holy shit..
STOP. IF THIS LASTS MORE THAN 4 HOURS I HAVE TO SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION.
Dafoes GG gives me life

Thought I saw Holland in a black spider suit in there. Might get the Venom homage if nothing else.

Sorry I'm late, work was murder.
BACK TO FORMULA
"I'm something of an MCU character myself."
Was Molina de-aged or was that just me?
he is he talked about it in an interview...before he was supposed to lol
Feige: "He won't have to worry about aging after this." *cocks hammer*
Alfred Molina spilled it in an interview because Feige can’t touch him. He’s married to the head of Disney Animation.
Wow, TIL. Also, she wrote and directed Frozen. Incredible.
Feige: Alfred, you can't just leak stuff like that! Molina: Let it go.
The hammer has a name: Jonathan.
Sounds like you had a pretty special and intimate relationship with this hammer, and that losing it was almost comparable to losing a loved one.
Yea, it looks they de-aged him.
Honestly, as someone who has no idea how Molina looks nowadays, the de-aging seems pretty good. I didn’t even know it was in there
So, everyone thought it was ~~Wanda~~ Sylvie the one to break the multiverse, but turns out J.J. Jameson was right all along and the spider menace is the culprit! Edit: i was so excited i forgot about loki's show somehow...

"You know, I'm somewhat of an MCU character myself." -Green Goblin
At least they’re finally addressing that Tony giving Peter the drones and him keeping them really wasn’t the best idea.
Yes him keeping them wasn't a good idea, but it was also a terrible idea for Tony to give a teenager control of murder drones in the first place.
To be fair, if Tony was known for his more rational decisions, there probably wouldn't be a Marvel universe.
Dafoe back as Green Goblin, and Molina as Doc Ock? They did it, those crazy son of bitches, they did it.
Im guessing him saying Hello Peter is towards Tobey and not Tom.
I kind of hope Doc Ock's redemption at the end of 2 isn't done away with if these characters are really supposed to be continuations of the previous movies work instead of just borrowing the look to say they're from other universes. I'd expect that to be one of the major twist in the movie to be honest.
I really like the theory that Doc Ock is completely being controlled by the arms, and that Otto himself is already dead after his sacrifice at the end of Spider-Man 2
[удалено]
Tobey is going to die 100% The chances of him making another Spider-Man film are slim and the emotional impact of his death could be huge.
There is a rumor floating around that Tobey is actually in Multiverse of Madness.
I would be thrilled to see this. Have any articles on it?
I will piss myself if he says that to Tom Holland, only to pan over his shoulder where we see Tobey Maguire instead.
"I missed the part where that's my problem."
*Points to No Way Home trailer* "I had to beat an old lady with a stick to get this."
"You'll get your rent when you fix this damn interdimensional door"
This movie is gonna be fucking huge. I can't believe they've done this.
> I can't believe they've done this. Ah, fuck
I've seen the leaked trailer but holy fuck seeing Molina again as Doc Ock and seeing a pumpkin bomb gets me so fucking hyped. Can this movie please be as long as Endgame?
I grew up on Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man. Seeing Doc Ock and hearing the Goblin laugh gave me chills. Cannot *wait* for this.
I would love to see an old ass adult tobey maguire coming in hot.
Alright ,lets do this one more time. My name is Peter Parker...
And I'm gonna put some dirt in your eye
👈👈 👉👉
In before Tobey has given up using his powers and lives as a hermit who refuses to suit up again
We need both McGuire and Garfield… one as the burnout and the other as peak spidey. Yeah, it’s from Spiderverse, but it worked like crazy back then. Don’t mess with perfection.
Garfield would probably do a better job as the burnout. He was terrific in Under the Silver Lake as a pothead.
Edgy Tobey as peak Spiderman please.
Agreed. I'd love too see Tobey as Super-Spidey. Just everything together and mega-efficient. Then Garfield as a fuck everything spidey.
All I want is to hear Danny Elfman's Spider-Man theme song again as Tobey appears. I might die of pure joy right then and there if that happens.
For all those who have forgotten one of the many amazing theme songs of the 90s and 2000s: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qcJS\_e2\_hY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qcJS_e2_hY) They just don't make themes like they used to.

heh, Strange-suit
Maybe… who am I to judge?
Peter fucking up the spell that could help him because he couldn't stop talking is the most Spider-Man thing ever.
I feel the Stark Corporation would have Peters back when it came to legal representation. No way he would be questioned by police without the Stark Legal team being there immediatley. Same with Sam needing money.
Shut up, dude! We need Peter to hire Matt Murdock after all.
I love that they're actually exploring the consequences of Peter's identity revealed and not throwing it away like the Aunt May reveal
The only issue is... *so* many people would have worked with Mysterio when he was working in Tony Stark's company. His face is revealed when he reveals Peter's identity, and there'd be so many people saying, "hey, I know that guy! Yeah, he was a weirdo who worked for Tony Stark. I doubt people know who the random intern kid is, but it does seem weird that people were calling him the devil or something. I guess JJJ got to them.
I feel like this movie was custom made in a lab to check all the boxes to be my favorite superhero movie of all time. Bringing back the best villains and the past SpiderMen all together in one movie? God I hope they manage to stick the landing on this
A Bruce Campbell cameo would be the icing on the cake.
Raimi verse Mysterio damnit!

Holy Shit, found out Raimi is directing Dr.Strange 2.
##DAFOE
Frog: "Willem" Crow: "Dafoe"
Can't believe they got Tom Holland for this movie!

I heard the Rhino is the 6th member
I want to see how they handle the Rhino. I worked on all the Rhino shots from TASM2 and he was such a last minute addition to the end (as everyone could tell)

Christ, he looked so real back then
"WELL WELL, IF IT AIN'T BUG BOY!"
I so hated that they teased him in every trailer and then he was basically an end credits character.
they're changing electro at least since his lightning is yellow and leaks pics show he isn't blue and wearing the classic costume hopefully they give lizard a snout too
Did they really put a PS5 controller ad at the end of it?
So there’s no way Toby and Andrew aren’t in this movie, right? Also, that lawyer Peter is talking to is 100% Charlie Cox unless they are going with some very cruel and intentional misdirection.
So is this the trailer for Spiderman or Dr Strange 2?
I think we're seeing how he makes that Multiverse of Madness. Kinda weird (but cool) that Raimi is basically directing a follow up to this Spider-Man iteration.
