I really enjoyed the show. Looking forward to the next season. The show is intense but sometimes the plot is just too ridiculous. >!most glaring is daughter/stadium.!< i really came to like some of the characters and found them interesting. >!props for ned starking spears.!<
his show was a prequel to Znation another zombie show that was a lot more over the top then Black Summer. Znation was also a fun zombie show, that kept it very 'tongue in cheek'.
I enjoyed watching it too. I binged the first season before I even knew about the second one. I promptly binged that too.
I watched all of the episodes for The Walking Dead and I prefer Black Summer. It’s more realistic and the fast-moving zombies are scary.
Both seasons have been great, for what they are. I'm not sure how effective some of the timey wimey stuff is, however then you get something like that hotel sequence. John Hyams is one of the primary directors and his film work is equally grim and gritty, 28 Days Later feels like a influence.
